After making the decision to prioritize the living creatures, he immediately covered the spirit creatures in his Cave Heaven with the devouring forcefield. This caused them to disappear completely. The law fragments he gained from them also helped him cross the milestone of 1 million law fragments.

But he didn’t stop there. This has only just whetted his appetite.

In the second heaven of the second dimension, he looked at everything around him and said, “I am not like other divine beings you’ve met. I am not a picky eater. I treat everything equally and without bias.”

As he said this, he unleashed the Devouring Ability with his full power. This caused a black blanket of devouring power to erupt out of him and rush into the surroundings.

The black blanket was so large that it submerged everything within a radius of 36 meters around him. This was disappointing and nowhere near as large as he used to be able to expand his devouring power.

Unfortunately, this is how far he can make the devouring forcefield expand because he can’t use the power of his Cave Heaven here. The power of the devouring ability is also slow, so it will take a lot of time for him to finish devouring everything within a range of 36 meters around him.

He didn’t like this and wanted to eat as much as he could as fast as he could. But this was all he had to work with, and it couldn’t be changed, whether he liked it or not.

For most of the spirit creatures, a range of 36 meters was big enough to cover them completely. After all, he could form a zone of devouring that was 72 meters across. There were very few things in the second heaven that were bigger than that.

Only the giant trees and the great lakes were bigger than this. But even they couldn’t escape from the devouring power.

Since he couldn’t eat them up in one bite, he would just have to take his time and take several bites out of them to compensate. As for the rest of the smaller spirit creatures, they were all trapped and stripped away with violent eagerness in one fell swoop.

A few minutes later, the black blanket of devouring power receded into Loki. As the black blanket rushed back to Loki, it took everything that it had submerged with it.

Everything, including the birds in the soil and the soil itself, was stripped bare and taken away. So when the black blanket was finally gone, all that was left was emptiness.

The area around him was so empty that the soil was gone, and the white firmament that formed the threshold of the second heaven had become exposed. This exposed part of the firmament formed an empty white basin right at the center of the forest.

Loki nodded in satisfaction when he saw this. Then he patted his stomach and said, “It is good stuff. I must have more.”

As he spoke, he was already marching towards the next area. This area was full of life and activity.

When he got there, he unleashed the Devouring Ability. So when he left it, there was only emptiness. There was no longer any life or activity at the location.

At some point, Loki stopped retracting the Devouring Ability. He simply left it active while he moved across the second heaven like a mower. And just like a mower, he stripped the forest bare as he passed through it.

Most of the time, all he gained from devouring the forest was law fragments. But once in a while, he devoured stones and minerals that granted lifespan. When this happened, Loki didn’t complain.

In fact, there was nothing to complain about. Things were so good that he said to himself, ’Why didn’t I come here earlier? Why did I waste my time in the first dimension for three months eating Branch Metacs when I could have been here having my fill?`

He felt regret for the inefficient way he had been gaining law fragments in the heavenly city. But then he remembered that he had been hanging out in the heavenly city so as to nab the mind hunter and possessor of the Psychic Flame Metac.

When he remembered why he had been delayed so much, he blamed the mind and hunter and even said, “He could have appeared in the city before that day, but he refused to show up until it was time for the Heavenly Battlefield. So it serves him right for dying. I feel no regrets for killing him.”

While he was complaining about the mind hunter, he was devouring all the spirit creatures and spirit objects in his vicinity. So he was still stuffing his mouth with everything he could grab while he was talking.

Other divine beings would never do this. When divine beings come to the second heaven, the first thing they would do is spend some time searching for the specific spirit creatures that possess their law fragments.

For money collectors, the spirit objects they want would be money, gold, gems, and other objects related to money. For forgers, the spirit objects they want would be hammers, tools, and any creature related to forging, such as puppets.

After they get the specific spirit creature, they would capture those spirit creatures and put them into their Cave Heaven. The next thing they would do is raise these spirit creatures with living creatures and normal objects.

They would invest a lot of manpower and resources into multiplying their possession of spirit creatures. Then, once in a while, they will sacrifice some of the spirit creatures to their Life Fire or sell them to the sect in order to earn divine merit points.

No divine being would touch other kinds of spirit creatures because it would be similar to touching and grabbing fire with one’s bare hands. Spirit creatures with different law fragments will burn and injure them.
