Chapter 515: Different Fire Metacs.

As soon as the Devouring Ability got to work, the chameleon cried out for mercy. It couldn’t with stand the pain of its body, mind, and soul being stripped at all.

Its arrogant voice had taken a pleading tone as it said, “Please spare me. Have mercy. Have mercy on me.”

But nothing could be heard from beyond the black veil covering it. This was because the black forcefield was devouring everything, including the sound that the chameleon was making.

The last thing to go was the core of the giant chameleon. This core was the symbol of authority. It was also the container for the Impaler Metac.

Fenrir digested the symbol of authority and fused it with the mutated Floating Furnace. The result of this fusion was the Fire Weapon Metac.

After the fusion, he manifested the new Divine Metac in the palm of his hand. His eyes scanned the Fire Weapon thoroughly up and down again and again.

What he saw made his eyes gleam as he said, “Who would believe that this is different from the Floating Furnace Metac?”

He said that because the Fire Weapon looked like an unassuming ball of fire. If anyone saw it, they would think it was the Floating Furnace Metac.

The only obvious difference might be that this ball of fire can’t float freely in the air and has to be attached to something or held by something. But even this difference will be difficult to spot because the Floating Furnace can also be held.

However, a difference between the Fire Weapon Metac and the Floating Furnace became clear when Loki controlled the ball of fire in his hand to elongate and turn it into a whip.

The whip that he created didn’t just possess the form of a whip. It was a real whip carved out of fire. It looked like a solid object with fire burning within it. All of its edges and joints were sharp, and its surface was smooth like a real whip.

When the fire whip formed in his hand, he looked at the severed tongue in his other hand. Then he threw the severed tongue away in dismissal.

Not only was the fire whip better looking, but it was also as powerful as the severed tongue when it is enhanced by the Splitting Edge Metac. Since this fire whip is already that powerful without the enhancement of the Splitting Edge Metac, it will only become more powerful when it is enhanced by the Splitting Edge Metac.

This is why he threw the severed tongue away. He thought that since he had a better whip, he didn’t need to use a tongue as a weapon anymore.

Then he gave the whip a try by slashing the ground with it. The resulting collision between the rope and the ground was explosive. It was as if someone had detonated explosives in the ground to break it apart.

On the other hand, this fire whip was able to create a wide gully that was 3 meters across. But the depth of the gully is only ten meters. This makes it only one-tenth of the depth of the canyon that the severed tongue created.

Loki looked at the result of the explosion and compared it to the narrow canyon in the ground. Then he had the idea to combine the Fire Weapon Metac and the Splitting Edge Metac.

Even though one of them belonged to the Forging Pathway and the other one belonged to the Killing Pathway, the two of them worked seamlessly.

There was a deep hum after he activated the Splitting Edge Metac on the fire whip. The fire whip turned a deep shade of red. Its color changed from a cheerful orange to a weapon made from blood.

The resulting red fire whip was also vibrating in his hand. It made him feel as if he was holding onto something violent that wanted to escape his control.

This vibration didn’t make him feel alarmed. Instead, he looked on with interest as he raised the whip high into the sky. Then he smashed it into the ground.

The fire whip was more than a hundred meters long. When it moved through the air on its way to the ground, it broke the sound barrier so many times that many shockwaves were created and blasted out of it into the surrounding area to kick up a lot of dust and wind.

But all of this commotion was a trifle compared to what happened when the whip struck the ground. The confrontation between the ground and the fire whip led to an earthquake in the region and made the soil of the surrounding area cave in.

This was because the explosion of fire created by the Fire Weapon Metac was allowed to happen deep in the ground this time around. Normally, the discharge of fire by the fire whip and the resulting explosion would be limited to the surface. But the Splitting Edge Metac helped the fire whip reach 100 meters into the ground.

Not only did the explosion occur deep in the ground, but by combining the power of these two Divine Metacs, the power of the fire whip doubled. So the explosion of fire is now stronger than the previous one.

The combination of depth charges and stronger explosive power made it so that when the explosion occurred, it blasted the ground wide open. It was as if a volcanic eruption had taken place underground. So even though there was no lava in sight, the ground was still blasted open into a crater.

Loki didn’t stop there with his experimentation. After using the Fire Weapon Metac as a whip, he turned it into a spear. Then he turned into a sword.
