THE GOD EATER

Chapter 425: Explosive Strike.

Chapter 425: Explosive Strike.

The good news was that he was always able to receive the total 180 units because he stopped early. In fact, after the second or third time that he encountered the golden divine being, he never encountered the divine being again.

He was always gone before the golden divine being appeared. So there was no risk of interruption, and he only had to complete five rounds of feeding for him to raise his Power Core Stat to the limit of 900 units.

When he achieved this lofty goal, he stood his ground and didn’t run back into the past like before. He waited calmly for the divine being to arrive and prepared himself to face a great enemy.

A few seconds later, the golden divine being arrived with great fanfare, wearing a gem-encrusted robe that reflected light in an exaggerated and luxurious manner.

The divine being saw anger in Loki’s eyes. This made him look at Loki with contempt before putting his Cave Heaven into action.

The power of his attack would be much stronger if he had made a move personally, but he didn’t take Loki seriously at all, so he used his Cave Heaven to fight alone. Besides, his goal wasn’t to kill Loki, but capture him.

On the other side, Loki was taking this fight very seriously. He was so serious that he was using three pathways together.

He created a hammer with the Forging Pathway and was empowered with the Killing Pathway before swinging the hammer with the full empowerment of the Strength Pathway. This put the power of the attack at 5(Dao Status) × (5 × 3(Core Metacs)) × (25(Stats) + 900(Power Core)) × (25 × 3(Branch Metacs)) × (415% Overdrive + 900% Mental World), which is 68,421,093.75 units.

The power of the attack was so great that the hammer was shaking in his hands. And as he swung it, the air the hammer passed through heated up and exploded into a shock wave. Then the hammer exploded when it struck the Cave Heaven.

The hammer behaved as if it were a bomb. When it made contact with the Cave Heaven, it discharged all of its energy and power into the Cave Heaven. This caused a blinding flash to appear before an explosion erupted between Loki and the Cave Heaven.

Loki didn’t resist the explosion as it pushed against him. He let it carry him away because he needed ample distance so that he could always escape from this divine being.

But as he was sent flying by the explosion, his gaze never left the divine being. He wanted to see the effect of his handiwork and wanted to be able to know when to run, so his eyes were glued in the direction of the golden divine being.

He was paying attention, so he saw the contempt on the face of the divine being disappear. Then he saw the contempt replaced by shock. Finally, he saw the shock replaced by pain.

As he was looking, he saw the divine being open his mouth and cry out for some reason. Loki couldn’t hear what the divine being was saying because another loud noise distracted him and covered up whatever the divine being cried out.

The sound was a deep rumbling. It sounded like an earthquake. The sound reminded him of earth shaking or the quaking of a mountain as an avalanche rolled down its side.

The sound was so loud that it seemed to be coming from the ground beneath them. It sounded as if the world was ending and the ground was opening up.

But when he looked down, the ground appeared to be perfectly fine. So he had to look up at the other landmasses in his immediate surroundings.

When Loki turned to look at the shadow of the Cave Heaven, he saw that it was the source of the earthquake. The shadow was even shaking where it was in the air as if it would fall at any time.

This shadow was black, and the Cave Heaven itself was obscured. But as the shaking sound intensified, the shadow seemed to crack, and light spilled out of it.

Then the shadow split into many fragments. Loki was able to catch a glimpse of what was inside the fragments before they fell and disappeared into places unknown.

What was left of the Cave Heaven was only a small fragment. This small fragment was about 10% of the initial size of the Cave Heaven. This was all the divine being could salvage from the wreckage of the foundation of his existence.

This sight enlightened Loki, so his eyes lit up and he said, “So that’s why he was shouting. I bet the feeling was painful, and he was screaming in pain. I would shout out in pain if I were him, too.”

The divine being heard what he said, but didn’t refute him. In fact, the golden divine being didn’t have the leisure to stand around.

He only shot Loki a hateful glare and said, “You will pay for this.”

Then he tore space open and was gone.

This gave Loki a surreal feeling. As he tried to parse what he was feeling, he said in disbelief, “That’s it? Is he gone just like that? I thought this would be more difficult.”

Apparently, what he was feeling was disbelief. He couldn’t believe that it would have been so easy to defeat a divine being.

From what he could tell, the power of the Cave Heaven was 3,600,000 units. He could also tell that the attack hadn’t used any Metacs, so the attack was similar to the one Lady Red had used to bully him when they first met.

This meant that the attack was an attack that he had created without using his full strength. In fact, the attack might have been created using an aspect in which the divine being is weak, just like Lady Red was using a mental attack to bully him, even though she was a forger.
