Chapter 410: Loki The Villain.

If he wants to achieve complicated things through the puppy, he will have to take control of it directly with his mind. Until then, the puppy will continue to act based on its instincts.

For now, he let the puppy run wild on its own. It can be considered a form of indulging himself.

However, Fenrir’s antics soon became pitiful to see because all of that sand that it ate could only bring it to a tenth of the way from rank 1 to rank 5. Loki couldn’t take it anymore, so he granted Fenrir more of his power.

As soon as he granted Fenrir the authority to use the Power of his Mental World, all of the black teeth in the puppy’s mouth became multicolored. This immediately delighted Fenrir.

Now that it had more power at its disposal, the puppy turned away from the wall of sand and went back to the corpse on the ground. It stopped some distance from the corpse and activated the borrowed power.

The puppy faced the corpse and opened its mouth wide. Then its colorful teeth flashed briefly before a large black blanket expanded out of its mouth. This black blanket was like an expanding black balloon being inflated with Fenrir’s breath.

The large blanket fell onto the corpse and covered it up completely. Then the large blanket began to shrink.

As the black blanket shrank, Amelia’s corpse shrank with it. Then the blanket carried the corpse as it withdrew back into the puppy’s mouth.

The black blanket shrank until it became small enough to fit Fenrir’s mouth. So Fenrir was able to close its mouth around it and swallow it.

This time, the growth of Fenrir was drastic. Its body immediately quintupled in size. It was as if the shrunken balloon that Fenrir just ate had exploded within its body and caused its body to expand.

Fenrir immediately belched in satisfaction. Even Loki was impressed by what it had done.

He clapped and said to it, ’You’re probably the onlt one who can do something like this. At least, I’ve never heard anyone else do it.’

By saying that, he was also complimenting himself since he can do it too. So he is, in fact, stroking his ego. However, he felt that he deserved it because other rank 5 cultivators can’t do this.

Rank 5 cultivators can eat weaker cultivators, but they can only eat cultivators with their exact same Life Ability. If they try to eat any other type of cultivators, their Mental World will reject it because of incompatibility, and there might even be a crippling backlash.

But Fenrir doesn’t care about compatibility. It will eat anyone that comes its way as long as it can eat them. In fact, it will eat anything, including sand if it has to.

So what Fenrir just did is impressive. But just as he was complimenting the dog, he saw the dog do something both impressive and unimpressive.

After eating the corpse, Fenrir looked around for something else to eat. When it didn’t find any more corpses to eat, it turned back to the wall of sand and opened its mouth wide.

Soon, a black blanket appeared from its mouth. The black blanket scooped up a large amount of sand and brought it into its mouth. A single bite had carved out another cave the size of their current cave in the ground.

Just like that, the size of the underground space had doubled. This caused all of the sand above them to come pouring down.

Fenrir didn’t care about this and only opened its mouth towards the sky to engulf all of the falling sand and swallow it. Then it turned back to all of the sand around them and began devouring them like a baleen whale eating krill.

A large amount of sand rushed into its mouth like a true whale swallowing water. In just a few seconds, Fenrir had carved out a space the size of an Olympic pool in the ground, and it was still gearing to eat more.

This was an impressive sight, but Loki had to do something to stop it for fear of creating too much ruckus that would expose his capabilities to the world. So he took back the power that he lent Fenrir.

With a single thought, he made Fenrir’s multicolored teeth go back to being pure black. This robbed it of its power to drink sand like water. But Fenrir still didn’t stop.

Since it lost its sealing and engulfing abilities, it resorted to the old-fashioned way of eating, which was to use its mouth to tear, chew, and swallow. Except it was eating sand, so there was no tearing or chewing. It was just gulping down sand.

But as it gulped down sand, it made sure to tell Loki how displeased it was with his tyrannical and wicked behavior of preventing it from engorging itself. It did so by glaring at him while tearing through the sand like it was delicious bread.

From its point of view, Loki was the villain. It didn’t care that there were dangerous and powerful people in this world who would kill it and Loki in order to put an end to its quest to eat the whole world. All it cares about is eating and eating some more.

All it wants to do is eat and eat. Since Loki is not letting it do so to its heart’s content, Loki must be evil.

Loki could only hold his forehead and say, ’What did I expect from something that only has the instinct to eat? I should have seen this coming.’

He was sure that the Four Directions Sect wouldn’t want it to eat the whole Central Domain, so he had to put an end to Fenrir’s quest. So he quickly deactivated the manifestation. Then he left the scene of the crime.

On his way over, he received another notification from the sect. It was about the consequences of breaking the contract that he signed with Amelia.
