Chapter 326: Silent Attack.

Once he was done with his preparations, he took off into the air. He soared across the sky in the direction of the gathering of the Myriad Phenomenon Sect. His goal is to foil their plan and try to kill every one of them.

In the last timeline, he had gone to report their plan to the rank 5 death cultivator of his sect because he lacked the power to stop them himself. Not only was his warning not appreciated, but the death cultivator even wanted to kill him.

However, things are different now. He doesn’t need the cultivator. He can take on the people of the Myriad Phenomenon Sect on his own and intends to do so in order to earn the most merit points and become the most useful soldier for the sect.

As he was passing by in the sky, a white-robed swordsman saw him. The white-robed swordsman was working together with a black-robed swordsman to chase a female forge cultivator wielding a hammer.

The two swordsmen were at rank 5, while the woman was at rank 5. The two of them have been chasing her since the Heavenly Battlefield started, which wasn’t that long ago.

Even though they haven’t been chasing her for a long time, their inability to catch her made them frustrated. So when this swordsman saw Loki, who was also a forger, flying some distance away, he thought Loki was an eyesore and decided to take out his frustration on Loki.

His sword was in its scabbard by his side. He lifted it slightly as if he wanted to take it out of the scabbard. But the sword didn’t seem to leave the scabbard before he changed his mind and put the sword back.

What had actually happened was that he had used his Life Ability, Quick Draw, to attack. So the attack had happened so fast that it was too quick to see.

He had also used his Life Ability with Sword Flash Metac, Strong Sword Metac, Sword Edge Metac, Breaking Gold Metac, and the Hidden Sword Metac. These five Branch Metacs will enhance the power of the attack in various ways and make sure that the attack itself is hidden from the enemy.

The Sword Flash Metac converted all of the power of that single attack into an energy blade that streaked towards Loki. The Strong Sword Metac, Sword Edge Metac, and Breaking Gold Metac will make this energy blade as strong as steel, possess a very sharp edge, and be capable of causing the hardest material to break on contact.

These three Branch Metacs converted his short-range attack into a long-range one, and this long-range attack is stronger and more powerful than the short-range one that he could do with his sword.

Finally, the Hidden Sword Metac ensured that the energy blade itself remained invisible. So now, not only was the process of making the attack too fast to see, but the attack itself has become very difficult to notice.

Loki was at rank 4, so he expected that attack to silently decapitate Loki without any resistance. This was why he looked away after making the attack.

After attacking, his mood improved, and he refocused on chasing the rank 5 forger. The rank 5 forger also noticed Loki, but she didn’t bother to call him to help her because he was only rank 4.

Even if she were to use someone as a shield to block an attack, it wouldn’t be a rank 4 runt. So no one, not even Loki’s ally, had any faith in him.

But all of them took a second glance at him when they heard the loud sound of a sword clashing with metal coming from his direction.

The rank 5 forger was first confused by the sound because she didn’t know that Loki had been attacked. To her, it looked as if an invisible sword had struck Loki.

But then she remembered the capabilities of the second swordsman and how he had been nearly able to destroy her hammer with his invisible attacks. So her eyes widened in surprise that Loki had been able to withstand the attack.

Her reaction was spot on, but it was late compared to that of the swordsman who had attacked Loki in the first place. He knew what he had done more than anyone else, so the impact of the result of his attack was heavier on him than on the others.

At first, he was surprised. Then he was confused.

Then he said to Loki, “A deceiver?”

He was asking if Loki was not actually a forger, but was pretending to be one. That would explain how his Breaking Gold Metac that he had used specifically to target forgers wasn’t effective against this forger.

After all, the Mimic Life Ability can only look like something. It doesn’t actually become that thing. So a deceiver wearing what appears to be an armored exoskeleton isn’t actually wearing anything metallic.

In reply, Loki snarled and said, “Deciever your ass.”

Then he shot at the swordsman with both of the rail guns on his shoulders.

The swordsman had attacked him earlier with a power of 5(Dao Status) × 5(Sword Heart) × (5(Body) + 5(Life Ability) + 5(Mind) + 5(Will) + 90 Energy Well) × (5(Sword Flash) + 5(Strong Sword) + 5(Sword Edge) +5(Breaking Gold) + 5(Hidden Sword)) × (500% Overdrive + 90% Energy Nexus), which is 405,625 units of power.

The attack had struck the energy shield on his armor first, which slowed it down and nullified some of its power before it struck him. This had cost him a lot of energy to achieve.
