THE GOD EATER

Chapter 1381 Jumping Around And Being A Nuisance.

As he watched for anything suspicious, like a curse or another way to attack him through the projection of his Supreme Metac, he saw the Will accept the projection without a fuss and anchor it to the divine constellation.

As soon as his Supreme Metac was anchored, lifespan flowed out of him into the world. It was as if the projection was a seed and the world was soil. His lifespan was life-giving water pouring into the seed and helping it grow.

The seed germinated, and a new Domain suddenly appeared in the super world. As his lifespan flowed into the seed, the Domain grew larger.

Seeing this, he thought, ’So far, everything is going well. But I doubt it will remain forever.’

’What do they have prepared next? If I were them, I would wait for me to send an avatar into the world. Now that Thief’s Haven is so powerful, it should be very easy to defeat and capture my avatar.’

’They only need to make a reason to lure me over. Once I arrive, they will all jump out to ambush me together with the Will of the World.’

’And since I have only one pathway and can only send the avatar with Fenrir in it, once they get their hands on my avatar, I will be screwed.’

’Anyway, I won’t go. Let me see how they will force me,’ he thought, chuckling in amusement.

Outwardly, he maintained his smile and said, "Thank you for this opportunity. I am grateful."

"It was my pleasure. If you have another Supreme Metac you want to anchor, feel free to come to me anytime," the Will said.

"Hahaha. I’ll do that," he said, laughing.

Then he withdrew his gaze, and the sky calmed once more.

Down below, Wandering Thief said, "He really took the bait. The first phase has officially begun."

"Everyone knows what to do, so I don’t need to say more. I wish us good luck."

The ten Dao Lords dispersed on that note. Now that Ragnarok had joined their divine constellation, they thought it better to reduce their interactions to avoid tipping him off.

Not that Loki was paying attention to what they were doing. He only left a thread of thought in the projection to monitor what was going on.

For obvious reasons, he didn’t dare sink his mind into the projection. He felt that he had courted death enough and didn’t want to actually put his head into the trap too.

Instead, he chose to capitalize on his recent deals and expand his sect into as many Domains as possible. Of course, he didn’t bring the Dao Fetus cultivation system and the Olympic Sect into Thief’s Haven.

Thus, the lower realm became peaceful once more. But rapid, sharp undercurrents flowed just beneath the surface.

Even in his enemies’ camp, things weren’t so calm. Heavenly Eye was having secret conversations with Wandering Thief that no one knew about.

She said, "Ragnarok told me about the Freedom Supreme Metac. Is it true?"

"What did he tell you about my pathway?" Wandering Thief asked, confused.

"He said you can use it to break oaths without consequence," she replied.

"Well, that’s poppycock. He is just trying to sow discord among us," he said, chuckling.

He didn’t take the accusation seriously at all. Instead, he shook his head and said, "What a cheap trick. I guess Ragnarok has become desperate enough to stoop so low."

But Heavenly Eye wasn’t buying it. She asked skeptically, "Is that so?"

"It didn’t look like a cheap trick to me. He even swore an oath that it was true."

Hearing this, Wandering Thief scoffed and said, "Then he must be the one who can break oaths without consequences, because I can’t break oaths."

"I would swear to prove my innocence, but I doubt you’d believe me anyway. This is just a mess."

Heavenly Eye smiled and said, "Actually, there is a simple method to clear up any misunderstandings."

"All you need to do is meet me in the upper realm. As long as I inspect your Freedom Supreme Metac, I will know whether Ragnarok was mistaken or not."

"You don’t have to worry that I’ll attack you since I swore an oath not to do that, and I don’t have a method to go back on my promises. In fact, I should be the one worried about you."

Wandering Thief immediately shook his head and said, "That’s a bad idea."

"With all of those Gemini younglings roaming around, it will be easy for them to spot us together. Then they can tell Ragnarok, and we would be ambushed."

"We already decided to only meet in the upper realms when we want to strike Ragnarok together. If we’re not ready to fight him, let’s not risk exposure."

"This is just a scheme to make us suspicious of each other and force us to do things like that. I don’t think it is a good idea to fall into his rhythm like that," he said, still shaking his head to indicate just how much of a bad idea he thought it was.

He gave a lot of reasons, but Heavenly Eye wasn’t swayed. Instead, she chuckled and said, "No one wants to be treated like a fool, Wandering Thief."

"No one, especially us Dao Lords, will allow someone to cheat us. You should know that, so you should know that you have to clear up this mess regardless of Ragnarok’s motives."

"Before you say no again, I want you to consider that I actually want to believe you. That’s why I didn’t say anything earlier to everyone."

"I knew that Ragnarok was trying to sow discord and didn’t want him to succeed. That’s why I chose to bring you aside and clear the air now before it becomes too difficult."

Inwardly, Wandering Thief seethed and cursed Ragnarok. ’That damned Ragnarok. He can’t just lie low and accept. He has to keep jumping around and being a nuisance. What a headache.’
