Chapter 1249: A Guest Of Honor.

Even though Loki encouraged her, she didn’t bother to attack him anymore. So his fragmented body was able to recover until he was whole again.

He stood before her, looking down and examining her. When his Divine Spirit swept through her existence, he saw that she had three activated godheads, making her a three-star celestial.

This was why she was the last to survive. The other Dao Lords were all two-star celestials or one-star celestials like Black Chain.

But even if there had been another three-star celestial among them, Loki wasn’t sure they would have been able to outlive her. He thought highly of her because she had a Cosmic Dao.

"Is that a Cosmic Dao? Which one is it?" he asked with interest while he maintained the black force field, slowly killing her.

She wanted to ignore him, but then she thought of something and said, "I’ll tell you if you spare my life."

"You know what, I’ll give you the Supreme Metac if you let me go. I’ll give you anything else you want."

But instead of thinking about letting her go, Loki was thinking about intensifying the black force field to kill her faster. If he weren’t already operating the Devouring Ability with full strength, he would be doing so now.

"Never mind. I’ll find out anyway," he said, replying to her offer.

Seeing as her last attempt to escape failed, she let herself fall onto his back and lay prone on the ground.

"I had so many hopes and dreams. I wanted to revive my race, conquer the Sea of Worlds, and rule over it for eternity," she said with a sigh.

"But here I am, dying because I made a single mistake. I fought someone I should be able to kill on my own with seven other Dao Lords and failed. I guess this level of blunder is worthy of death."

"If only I could turn back time," she thought as her body suddenly collapsed, turning into a pile of ashes.

Three items were left behind after her death. The Devouring Ability also swept away their Supreme Metacs and brought them back into his body.

After tallying his loot, he nodded in satisfaction and said, ’Not bad for a day’s work.’

’1 Cosmic Dao, 1 Grand Dao, 1 Major Dao, and 3 Minor Daos are not bad for a hard day of labor. I guess this kind of makes up for forcing my hand to fight them,’ he thought as he glanced outside the black sphere to where the guardian was waiting.

The guardian caught him looking and said, "Ragnarok, oh Ragnarok. You’re really full of surprises."

The guardian was talking to him through a secret transmission of mental waves, so the voice of the guardian sounded directly in his mind as they said, "I’m impressed by your prowess. I really am."

"It seems you have a powerful origin talent. No wonder you were able to create a Cosmic Dao with a Grand Dao. So you’re now a special guest of honor of the Gemini Race."

"Now, why don’t you deactivate your little Divine Ability and come over so that we can talk," they said with a smile.

But Loki didn’t believe them. He immediately created the Rewind Metac from his spark of power and stuffed it into the Devouring Supreme Metac. Then he activated the Rewind Metac.

All of these happened within his inner world, but it couldn’t escape the sight of the guardian. They saw the Rewind Metac suddenly appear within him, and they saw it activate.

When the guardian saw the River of Time appear within him, they couldn’t believe it. If not for their helmet, everyone could see the unbridled shock on their face.

"That’s a 2-D Metac. How can you activate a 2-D Metac in the upper realm?" they asked in shock.

The impact of Loki activating any Divine Metac with his true body was greater than the impact of activating the Rewind Metac. The guardian was shocked so deeply that they froze there in disbelief, allowing the Devouring Supreme Metac to detach from Loki’s existence and reach the entrance of the River of Time.

The sight of the Devouring Supreme Metac escaping finally jolted them into action. They hefted their spear and prepared to attack.

Their goal was to attack the Devouring Supreme Metac and stop it from leaving, but they hesitated again because Loki didn’t die after losing his only Supreme Metac.

His body should have shattered, leaving the escaping Supreme Metac open to an attack. But he remained alive, and his body continued to protect the Devouring Supreme Metac, making things more inconvenient.

It was already abnormal that Loki wasn’t dead. So the guardian grew uncertain about who to attack. Combined with the fact that their attack had been delayed too much by their earlier shock, his survival made stopping him harder.

Fortunately, it didn’t take them long to pick a target because, regardless of their decision, they would need to go through Loki to reach the Devouring Supreme Metac.

As difficult as the task was, they didn’t give up. Their face fell, and their voice turned cold as they said, "So be it."

Then they struck.

Loki didn’t see how they did it. He only saw their black spear leave their hand and reappear, impaling him. Of course, by the time he realized what was going on, his body was also off his feet and was flying into the distance.

’This is the second time I’m flying in the upper realm, and it is also thanks to the guardian,’ he thought with a chuckle as his consciousness began to fade away.

From the spear stuck in his chest, his flesh was fragmenting and turning into ashes. In less than a second, his whole body turned into black ashes.

He had over ten billion years of lifespan, yet he couldn’t heal this injury. It wasn’t for a lack of trying either. That single attack had simply been enough to push his existence to the limit of Entropy’s capacity.
