But apparently, using lifespan to recruit mortals and being able to recruit directly wasn’t enough to satisfy him. He was also thinking about killing 350 billion mortals to make things even easier for himself.

As his mind worked on how he would do it, he thought, ’It would be easy too. My true body can wipe out swaths of mortals with a sweep of his Divine Spirit.’

’I can identify and kill 350 billion cultivators in a maximum time of 350 seconds. And it wouldn’t cost me anything. So yes, it would be too easy to do.’

The logistics of how to go about it were primed, ready, and easy to execute. But he didn’t do it because it would also be easy for Dao Lords to wipe out the disciples of his sect.

Just as he can wipe out a billion mortals every second, other Dao Lords would be able to do so. He had no advantages in this aspect. The only reason other Dao Lords hadn’t done so yet was that the cost would be too much.

Once one Dao Lord starts killing mortals, other Dao Lords would retaliate. So to kill mortals is to give up on having a sect in the Sea of Worlds and to give up on entrenching their Domains in the Sea of Worlds.

’I haven’t reached the point where I don’t need lifespan or Domains, so I have to restrain my impulses for now,’ he thought with a chuckle.

Then he continued recruiting more mortals.

When he was done setting up the foundation for the sect, he left for another super world. This encounter also led to another round of fighting because of the meddling of other Dao Lords.

It was normal for a super world to be wary of an outsider. But most super worlds would open their doors to the outsider once they verified that the outsider had come to anchor their Domains, not to destroy their world.

An extra Domain would make the super world stronger and also ensure that the Dao Lord would try to protect the super world from destruction so as to protect their investment. So there wasn’t much reason to fight an investor.

But the other Dao Lords in the super world can convince the Will of the world to fight either by force or with benefits. Because Tepid Scholar and the others were hoping that the Wills of the super worlds would grind him down and eventually succeed in killing his avatars, they kept encouraging the Wills to fight him.

He could have avoided all of the trouble by using the method he used in the previous timeline. That is, he could have forced the Dao Lords to allow him to establish a Domain in all of their super worlds.

However, he decided not to do that because he wanted to keep all of the benefits to himself. He didn’t like how Heavenly Eye had diluted that benefit by making every Dao Lord share their super worlds, so he decided to go the extra route.

’As they say, there is greater value in something you have that others don’t have. If I have to work extra hard for this luxury, so be it.’

It was actually a lot of work, as he had to take a beating while doing his best to stay alive. It was hard work because he was taking a beating, which, in his opinion, was more demanding than dishing out the beating.

Eventually, the beating ended, and he got to establish his Domain. So he got to establish his Domain and recruit people for his sect.

After getting a foothold for his sect, he would leave for another world. He visited each of the five super worlds, including Wandering Thief’s super world, like that.

In the sky, the other Dao Lords were watching him jump around like a grasshopper, unable to do anything to curb his progress. All eleven of them, including Wandering Thief, had come out to watch him.

Despite the failure of their numerous attempts, most of the Dao Lords were happy to watch his struggle. This was because, even though nothing seemed to have come of incentivizing worlds to kill him, they were sure that he was slowly reaching his limit of Entropy.

He looked strong on the surface, but they were expecting him to fall at any moment. And when he reached Wandering Thief’s super world, which was the last one, they were sure that this would be the last moment that he would fall.

To ensure that they would get their wish, they spoke to Wandering Thief, convincing him to do what was right. Wandering Thief himself was equally receptive.

He said, "You can count on me to do what’s right. I don’t even need payment to put this disrespectful little shit in his place. I will fight him to the death if i must."

So everyone was looking forward to a spectacular fight. Loki himself was prepared for a fight.

However, he expected the super world to allow him to enter the super world and lock down the world around him before fighting. So when the Will of the World appeared to stop him from entering the world, he was a little bit surprised.

But then he sneered and said, "I see what you’re doing."

"You’re trying to avoid destruction to your world and curb my devouring. Unfortunately for you, fighting me outside the world won’t save you."

The Will nodded in agreement and said, "That’s true. But it is not a problem because I am not here to fight you."

Loki immediately looked around warily as he asked, "Who else is there to fight me?"

"There is no fight," the Will replied. "I am here to welcome you."

"Huh!" Loki said in surprise. Then he asked, "Why?"

A voice came from the sky, saying, "Because I don’t want to fight you."

Another voice asked angrily, "What are you doing, Wandering Thief?"

"Making a mockery of your plans," Wandering Thief replied, all the while laughing.
