Chapter 1157: Half-Dead Option.

Actually, he had a choice about the advancement. He could choose not to advance, but he wouldn’t be able to fuse with his body and would only be able to exist as a fake rank 9 Dao Initiate like Golden Sun and Time Traveler, who are neither alive nor dead.

As if being a remnant of a Dao Lord wasn’t bad enough, there was also the fact that his current state of existence had been exposed to the Dao Lords in the divine constellation.

During this process, he fused with his body and finally regained connection with the Spark of Power. This was the most important reason he chose to allow the fusion to happen.

When he looked at the Spark of Power and saw that it was intact with the Supreme Metacs he had just earned from the Dao Lords, he sighed in relief. Then he stopped thinking and let the Spark of Power do all the thinking for him.

Just as the golden pillar of light arrived at his position, the sky of the Sea of Worlds opened up with rifts, and five pairs peered through to see what was going on.

Then a second and a third pillar of light appeared in the Sea of Worlds, signifying the ascension of two more Dao Lords. This was all too much for Black Chain to accept.

But as if this wasn’t bad enough for Black Chain, one of the new Dao Lords began destroying his Domain and eating everything within it.

A black sphere was moving through the Central Domain, devouring everything indiscriminately. It ate the air, the wind, the dust in the wind, and the ground as it moved, carving a valley of emptiness along its path.

"You’re dead meat," Black Chain screamed with venom at it. "You hear me? You’re dead."

But Loki just grinned wider and intensified his efforts to devour the Central Domain. He didn’t stop until he was forced to ascend into the upper realm by the Sea of Worlds.

About an hour later, the sky all over the Sea of Worlds rippled like a wave. The mortals in the lower realm didn’t notice this at all. Only the divine beings noticed the subtle change.

From the perspective of divine beings, the Sea of Worlds had suddenly become brighter. It was as if someone had turned on a previously hidden light switch.

The increase in the brightness was not particularly high. But it was significant and sudden, which was far more important than the intensity of the brightness. Unfortunately, they couldn’t pinpoint exactly what caused the change.

Only the eleven Dao Lords in the upper realm could see that the sky above them had changed from pitch black to shimmering light of multicolored rays, making it look like an aurora borealis.

Then four pillars of light pierced through the multicolored layer of light to deposit four guests. Even the most clueless Dao Lord knew what was happening when they saw their supposedly sealed Domain suddenly receiving guests.

In one corner of the upper realm, Loki was looking up at the shimmering light. As he looked, he said, "I wonder what’s beyond the Domain."

"Unfortunately, I can’t fly up to see. So I can only wonder for now."

After a while, he stopped looking and said with a grin, "Anyway, I have work to do. Right now, I need to go fishing."

As he spoke, he sent down his avatar into the Sea of Worlds through the Blessed Heaven World. His true body continued to roam around the upper world with the black force field of the Devouring Supreme Metac activated.

With the Divine Ability constantly activated, he was able to tweak its operation to make it more efficient and expand how much of the Supreme Metac’s size he was utilizing to produce power.

"It is like learning to use a new organ or muscle. It can also be said that I am a baby learning how to walk."

"My legs are functional, but I need to learn to use them well and balance myself while using them to make full use of them. Then later, I need to develop my muscles and the control of those muscles so that I can sprint with my legs."

While he was philosophizing about increasing the conversion efficiency of the Devouring Supreme Metac, there was an uproar in the lower realm.

The descent of an avatar caught the six Dao Lords in the Blessed Heaven World off guard. They could hardly believe their eyes.

"Is he foolish?" Tepid Scholar asked in disbelief. "Doesn’t he know that Black Chain wants to kill him?"

"Do we interfere?" Sword Maestro asked.

Tepid Scholar replied with a laugh and said, "Of course we will. If he is hell-bent on being the bait to draw Black Chain out, then we can’t waste this opportunity."

So every Dao Lord sent down their avatars into the Blessed Heaven World. Even the new Dao Lord, Harem King, also sent down her avatar.

They all went down with a lot of hope and expectations. Loki was sure that he was trapping them, while Black Chain was sure that he would kill Loki’s avatar, and the other Dao Lords were certain that Black Chain’s avatars were done for.

For a short while, the identity of hunter and prey was uncertain. But just a minute later, the position of hunter and prey was determined.

As usual, Loki auctioned the avatars to the Dao Lords. He made sure to use the silent auction method to ensure maximum output, and it went well.
