Chapter 1192 - 609: A Great Harvest! (2)

Upon hearing this, Deputy Director Chen Guan promptly smiled in agreement and said, "Director Yang, if you can personally visit, the two experts will certainly feel the warmth and sincerity of our Guangling Public Security."

"It’s the least we can do. They’ve come from afar to help us solve a major case, courtesy demands we thank them in person."

Yang Tao nodded and then looked at the two of them, speaking with a touch of appreciation, "This case, our Guangling Public Security solved it too promptly. From the time it occurred to the successful resolution, it took less than 72 hours. This speed in solving the case definitely ranks among the top in our history of criminal investigation work in Guangling, right?"

"Certainly, Director Yang!"

Deputy Director Chen Guan nodded vigorously, his tone full of pride, "Not just in Guangling, but even across the entire province, the speed of solving this case can rank in the top three, it’s simply miraculous!"

"Is it really that impressive?" Yang Tao’s face showed excitement as he confirmed again.

"Absolutely!" Chen Guan replied affirmatively, "Just before we came to your office, Director Hou specifically mentioned this.

He’s responsible for coordinating the investigation of homicide cases nationwide and has encountered countless challenging cases. In his view, this case involved discovering three highly skeletonized bodies at once, with the victims having died long ago, making it impossible to accurately determine the preliminary time of death. The site had few clues, and the conditions for investigation were extremely poor. Solving such a difficult case in such a short time is truly unbelievable, even he finds it incredible."

"I have also worked in criminal investigation early in my career, so I understand the difficulty in investigating such cases," Yang Tao said with a face full of sentiments and a solemn tone.

This time the case was successfully solved, all of you have indeed devoted unimaginable efforts and achieved great accomplishments.

In my opinion, our criminal investigation team should apply for at least one collective first-class merit, along with two individual third-class merits and two personal commendations, which is a 2+2+1 awards scheme, striving to secure the deserved honors for everyone!"

These words left Qin Feng momentarily stunned, then he couldn’t suppress his overwhelming surprise.

Before they came to report to Yang Tao, the highest goal they set for themselves was just to strive for one collective second-class merit and two personal commendations.

Now it has been directly elevated to a collective first-class merit. The award specifications have been significantly enhanced, and in just 72 hours, they’ve garnered such substantial honor, it truly is astonishing.

It should be noted that a collective first-class merit for the police is extremely prestigious and is never easily applied for successfully.

Since the criminal investigation team was independently established, they’ve only ever received one collective first-class merit.

That was years ago when they solved an international crime case, and it was only achieved at the heavy cost of one officer sacrificing their life, with two officers being permanently injured in the line of duty.

This illustrates that a first-class merit for the police not only requires impressive achievements but is often accompanied by the blood and sacrifice of the officers, carrying significant weight.

Yet this time, Director Yang Tao directly proposed recommending a collective first-class merit application.

Although it’s still in the application stage, the final result needs approval from the provincial department and the Ministry of Public Security to be confirmed.

But with Director Yang Tao, the head of the Public Security Bureau, fully recommending it, combined with the city’s full support, the likelihood of approval is extremely high.

Yang Tao holds absolute authority in the city’s evaluation, recognition, and honor application, and he does not make easy promises; his public declaration to apply for a first-class merit indicates an eighty percent certainty, the rest depends on the subsequent preparation and presentation of the application materials.

After all, strong work performance is the foundation, while detailed and outstanding application materials are also key to success.

Thinking of this, Yang Tao turned to look at the office director and sternly instructed, "This time the criminal investigation team has particularly excelled, achieving remarkable feats. We must thoroughly and meticulously document their outstanding deeds, performances, and contributions in the written materials."

"For the application of a collective first-class merit, it requires everyone’s toil day and night, and also undeniably meritorious achievements. The investigation techniques and case-solving results of this case perfectly match the core requirements of combat strength in the new era police force, making it an exemplary case."

"Director Yang, rest assured, I’ve noted it all down."

"Good, that’s settled, work on it promptly."

Yang Tao nodded, glanced at the time, and continued, "I still have to attend an important city meeting later. Last night when city leaders called to inquire about the case, I was filled with anxiety and immense pressure.

Thankfully, with all of you able assistants rapidly solving the major case, I can go to the meeting today, confidently reporting to the city leaders with prideful assurance that the case has been successfully resolved, the suspects have been caught, and the truth has been fully uncovered!"

Chen Guan and Qin Feng quickly smiled and expressed, "Thank you, Director Yang, for your concern and favor towards our criminal investigation team. We will continue our efforts, fulfilling our mission, and continuously advancing on the path of combating crime and maintaining Guangling’s social stability."

"Alright, you may go about your duties, I still have some urgent documents to handle." Yang Tao gestured for them to leave.

Chen Guan and Qin Feng turned and headed towards the office door, but just as they reached the door and were about to open it, Yang Tao seemed to remember something and quickly called them, "Wait a moment!"
