Chapter 1191 609: A Bountiful Harvest!

Upon hearing these words, Director Yang Tao suddenly froze on the spot, his eyes darting back and forth between Qin Feng and Chen Guan, the two deputy directors, his expression turning somewhat awkward.

After all, this major case had been successfully solved through the painstaking efforts of his subordinates, yet he had just criticized and blamed them without discernment.

Reflecting on it now, he felt full of guilt and embarrassment.

As he pondered how to resolve the awkwardness before him, Director Ye, the office director beside him, quickly stepped forward to mediate.

"Director Yang, it's all my fault. I didn't do my job properly, failing to clarify all the details and progress of the case investigation, which led to lapses in information transmission; this is entirely my mistake."

Seizing the opportunity provided by Director Ye, Deputy Director Chen Guan, in charge of criminal investigation, also quickly chimed in, "Oh, Director Ye, how can this be your fault? Ultimately, our initial communication and coordination were inadequate, leading to information asymmetry regarding the case."

Listening to their conciliatory words, Director Yang Tao quickly waved his hand, saying, "I was really muddled just now, nearly falsely accusing everyone."

"Director Yang, you're too kind."

Upon hearing this, Director Yang Tao slightly straightened his expression and said, "Last night, the key city leaders called me several times to inquire about the progress of investigating this three-person murder case; my pressure is extraordinarily immense.

Given this case involves three deaths, the social impact is extremely atrocious, and there's a significant risk of the perpetrator committing further crimes, leaving the entire investigation in an undeniably passive state.

Unexpectedly, this morning, I received the good news of your successful resolution of the case, which truly surprised me.

Our criminal investigation team remains the team I trust and rely on the most, capable of fighting tough battles, doing solid work, solving big cases, and steadfastly safeguarding peace and stability throughout Guangling."

Yang Tao's heartfelt praise instantly stirred emotions in Chen Guan and Qin Feng.

Immediately after, Yang Tao looked at the two, asking, "This case was extremely challenging; how did you find the critical breakthrough and successfully solve the case in such a short time? What was the key?"

Upon hearing Yang Tao's inquiry, Chen Guan pursed his lips, turned to Qin Feng beside him, and signaled him to report.

Qin Feng sorted his thoughts and said, "Director Yang, you are aware of our skills and level in handling cases. At first, we indeed struggled to find a direction for cracking this complex White Bone case."

"Oh? Aren't we the main force?"

As he spoke, he first glanced at the office director next to him, then turned to look at Chen Guan and Qin Feng.

"You cannot deceive me about this case's result; is it truly completely solved?"

"If the case is solved, how come it wasn't led by our Guangling Public Security? Did external police forces assist us?"

"Director Yang, there's a crucial situation I must report to you separately."

Qin Feng said solemnly, "Before the White Bone case occurred, Director Hou from the provincial supervision group and Mr. Jiang happened to arrive in Guangling to guide the handling of related outstanding cases.

Originally, they intended to complete their guidance tasks and prepare to return to the provincial department. But at this critical moment, we suddenly received an alert from the public about human white bones discovered on a hill in the suburb, prompting us to rush to the scene immediately."

"These two experts initially planned to drop by and have a look, and if the case was simple and less challenging, they'd let us manage it locally and return promptly.

However, when we all arrived at the site of the White Bone discovery and conducted meticulous excavations, we unexpectedly unearthed three sets of bones, drastically escalating the difficulty of the investigation.

Director Hou and Mr. Jiang decided right away to stay and guide us throughout the investigation process."

Under the professional guidance of the two provincial experts, we quickly found the critical breakthrough, traced the leads, identified the suspect Li Chuang, and swiftly implemented the capture, successfully bringing him to justice."

Pausing slightly, Qin Feng continued, "When Li Chuang was initially apprehended, he persistently refused to confess, stubbornly argued and denied, exhibiting no remorse whatsoever."

"Later, Mr. Jiang accurately pinpointed the breakthrough, focusing on the suspect's body dumping process as the core of the investigation, thoroughly seeking critical evidence, and ultimately found blood traces from one victim's head in the corner of the cargo hold of Li Chuang's small truck, typically used for transporting goods.

We immediately used blood trace reagents for on-site testing, successfully extracted blood samples, and confirmed through DNA comparison that they matched the victim's profile completely.

Facing the compelling evidence, Li Chuang could no longer argue and ultimately confessed to murdering three individuals and abandoning the bodies in the deserted mountains."

Upon hearing this, Yang Tao's brow slightly furrowed, quickly and eagerly asked, "Where are these two experts from the provincial department now?"

"Last night, they stayed with us to go over the case details and interrogate the suspect throughout the night, without a wink of sleep, fighting until dawn; they're extremely exhausted."

Qin Feng quickly answered, "We've arranged for them to rest well in the hotel to recharge their energy at this moment."

"This is really great - Guangling Public Security is truly fortunate to have received thorough guidance and staunch support from two seasoned criminal investigation experts from the provincial department; such support is incredibly invaluable."

Yang Tao, filled with sentiment, expressed sincere gratitude in his tone, "Once they've rested properly and rise, I must make time to personally visit them, to thank them face-to-face for their generous support and professional help towards our Guangling Public Security work."
