Chapter 93: Chapter 93: Is the Receptionist a Fan of Liang He?

Liang He had just disembarked from the Starship when she spotted a staff member holding a sign for Sky Shining Star. They were presumably there to pick her up and take her to the training and exchange conference venue. She just didn’t know if they were aware that she had brought a Platinum Giant Lion along; she hoped it wouldn’t scare them.

"Hello, are you Miss Liang He?"

Lick looked at Liang He with excitement. He was an animal blogger and one of the original fans of the Fur Raising Officer. He had initially misunderstood Liang He, thinking her videos were faked, only to be ruthlessly proven wrong later. He had specifically applied to be a volunteer this time to take care of Liang He’s daily life and transportation during her stay. Although Lick had watched Liang He’s livestreams and knew what she looked like, meeting her in person for the first time still made him a little nervous.

"Hello, I’m Liang He. How should I address you?"

Liang He didn’t quite understand why someone she was meeting for the first time would be so nervous and excited. However, she could tell he meant no harm, so she greeted him with a warm smile.

"Lick! My name is Lick, and I... I’m your fan." Discovering for the first time that he could actually be shy, Lick scratched his head in embarrassment, but then suddenly remembered the hairstyle he had specially done for the occasion and hastily lowered his hand. "Oh, right, this must be the Platinum Giant Lion Cyril, right? The person in charge already told me and arranged a room where you can stay together."

Since the Platinum Giant Lion was a fierce beast brought by Liang He, she was naturally the only one who could watch over him. Staying together was the most convenient arrangement.

"Okay, thank you. Sorry for the trouble." Even though Liang He knew the person in charge had made an exception for her out of respect for Huo An, she still thanked them politely.

Faced with such a cute and polite idol, Lick felt his face flush red. He hurriedly took her luggage and led them onto the aircraft.

"Ahem, I’ll take you back to the hotel first," Lick said. The venue for the training and exchange conference was arranged right inside the hotel, which was quite convenient.

On the way, Lick wanted to talk to Liang He but was afraid of offending her by being too eager. Fortunately, with Hoder acting as a middleman to warm things up, the atmosphere steadily improved.

"Bro, shouldn’t an animal breeder’s training and exchange conference be held somewhere closer to nature? Why are we staying in a hotel?" Hoder asked.

It was his first time accompanying someone to a breeder’s training and exchange conference, so he was quite curious. Generally speaking, such conferences inevitably involved contact with animals, which was why the venue had been arranged on Greenfield Star. While a hotel environment was certainly nicer, wouldn’t it contradict the original intent?

"Mr. Huo misunderstands. The entirety of Greenfield Star is a natural environment. The location where the hotel was built is inherently a part of nature itself. You can think of it as a forest hotel, specially constructed to better host guests traveling from afar," Lick explained.

Hearing Lick’s explanation, both Hoder and Liang He understood. It was similar to a rest stop, only the hotel’s facilities and tier were far more luxurious and upscale.

"In addition to breeders from various interstellar zoos and reserves, experts and professors who have extensively researched all aspects of animals, as well as leaders from the Interstellar Animal Protection Association, will all be attending this training and exchange conference."

Seeming to notice that the two of them were completely inexperienced novices, Lick, acting as a devoted fan, poured out everything he knew—big or small—to Liang He, resembling a worried old father. Liang He was very grateful for his kindness and specifically gifted him a felt plushie she had made herself.

"Ahhhh! It’s actually my favorite Canglan Hunting Eagle! He looks so handsome!"

During the Snow Festival raffle last time, Lick hadn’t won a single thing, leaving him disappointed for a long time. He never expected that simply providing Liang He with some trivial information would earn him the felt plushie he had been longing for. This was simply an unexpected delight, and his already soaring affection for Liang He instantly maxed out.

"The training and exchange conference officially begins tomorrow. Here is the itinerary. The hotel provides three meals a day, prepared by chefs specially invited from Blue Star; you guys should definitely give it a try." After escorting Liang He and Hoder to their room, Lick handed over the room cards. Because they had been given a special suite, there were two sets of cards, making it convenient for both Liang He and Hoder to come and go. "Moving forward, if you two have any needs, you can contact me at any time. I would be more than happy to help."

While on the aircraft, Lick had already exchanged contact numbers with Hoder.

"Okay, thank you," Liang He replied.

Only after seeing Lick off did Liang He and Hoder have the mind to examine the room. Perhaps because of the Platinum Giant Lion’s presence, coupled with the fact that Hoder—a male bodyguard—needed to stay with her, the person in charge had arranged a two-bedroom suite for Liang He.

"This room is actually quite nice," Hoder noted.

Upon entering, they were greeted by a living room spanning nearly twenty to thirty square meters, complete with a scenic balcony. On the left and right sides of the living room were independent suites, each with its own en-suite bathroom for convenient washing up.

"ROAR~"

The Platinum Giant Lion ran to the scenic balcony, resting his front paws on the railing as he peered down. The gentle breeze brushed through his pale gold fur, and his emerald-like eyes were filled with longing.

"It looks like Cyril is quite satisfied too." Liang He gently smoothed out the Platinum Giant Lion’s wind-tousled fur. She then washed the water and food bowls the hotel had specially prepared for him, filled the water bowl to the brim, and placed it on the balcony. "The weather on Greenfield Star is truly wonderful. With the warm sun shining brightly, I feel like I brought too many thick coats."

"I heard that Greenfield Star only has extreme cold at its poles. Everywhere else is like spring all year round. Even the deserts have quite a few oases. It really is quite nice," Hoder replied. He had clearly done some homework.

After touring the room, Hoder left the larger master suite for Liang He. He then prepared to return to his own room to take a nice bath and catch some sleep, telling Liang He not to worry about him.

Compared to the sleep-deprived Hoder, Liang He was in great spirits. After washing up, she changed into clean clothes and prepared to take the Platinum Giant Lion out for a walk.

"Cyril, when we go out, you are not allowed to leave my line of sight. When you hear me call you, you must return to my side. Do you understand?"

"ROAR!"

After repeatedly cautioning him, Liang He led the Platinum Giant Lion to a vast, empty prairie. Sitting on a stone step, she watched the joyfully sprinting little lion with a gentle gaze. Perhaps the space on the Starship had been too cramped. The Platinum Giant Lion had endured it for a long time, and now that he finally had a massive area to roam freely, he could at last run wild and gallop to his heart’s content.

"I wonder if they caught that thief yet?" Liang He murmured to herself.

She suddenly thought of the thief who had stayed next to their luxury cabin. She didn’t quite understand his thought process. If he was driven by poverty or forced by circumstances, shouldn’t he have stolen valuables or food? Why would he steal a formal suit that looked expensive but was practically useless?

"ACHOO!"

Elias, who had just boarded an aircraft, suddenly sneezed. He rubbed his sore nose and, meeting his subordinate’s concerned gaze, signaled that he was fine.

Watching the transit police still searching everywhere for his tracks on the Starship, he lightly raised an eyebrow and slowly, methodically adjusted the black and gold formal suit he was wearing.

"I told you to contact Valken. Are there any results?"
