The Fluffballs I Fed Were SSS-Rank Beastmen
Chapter 27: Jumping Back and Forth on the Snow Leopard’s Bottom Line
Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Jumping Back and Forth on the Snow Leopard’s Bottom Line
Xu Yi, who had changed back into his white coat, now didn’t even dare to enter the treatment room. He was afraid that if Liang He looked away for even a second, the Mengji Snow Leopard would pounce on him.
He now only dared to stand at the door, verbally directing Liang He.
"Why am I always the one getting hurt?" Xu Yi pursed his lips. He was the one who had moved mountains to pull these Evolutionary Beastmen back from the Ghost Gate, yet every single one of them had blacklisted him. He was really about to throw a tantrum!
"Who told you to trick my son?" Duke Kuang Lin muttered softly from the side. He hadn’t expected Xu Yi to try such a bizarre method to deceive Kuang Ye. Wasn’t he just asking for trouble? He had even almost let Kuang Ye escape.
Speaking of this, Duke Kuang Lin couldn’t help but feel grateful for Liang He’s timely arrival. If it weren’t for her, things probably would have ended disastrously today.
"This is the first time I’ve ever seen this brat act so obedient."
Let alone Xu Yi, even Duke Kuang Lin, as a father, felt a bit jealous watching the Mengji Snow Leopard obediently let Liang He do whatever she pleased with him.
After having his physical and mental energy repeatedly drained, the Mengji Snow Leopard finally ceased his desperate resistance and attempts to escape once the only human he was willing to trust appeared.
"Good Leopard, I’m going to apply your medicine first. Don’t move," Liang He coaxed.
Since Xu Yi had once again been blacklisted by a furry patient, the specific task of applying medicine could only be done by Liang He herself. Fortunately, having taken care of Cedriel and Lanton before, she found it quite manageable.
"MEOW~"
The snow leopard’s cry was soft and adorable, completely different from the enraged roars that previously sounded as if he wanted to tear someone to shreds. He lay obediently on the treatment bed, letting Liang He have her way with him, and even rolled over voluntarily to make it easier for her to apply the ointment.
Seeing him like this, Xu Yi suddenly remembered how the Mengji Snow Leopard had acted when he first woke up from the anesthesia. He couldn’t help but sneer. This guy was really asking for a beating!
"All right~ Time to take your medicine!"
To Liang He, coaxing a furry animal was exactly the same as coaxing a child. After applying the ointment, she took out the internal injury medicine Xu Yi had prepared, then pulled a can of homemade meat from her bag to tempt the Mengji Snow Leopard.
"Here, if you’re a good boy and take your medicine, I’ll give you the most out-of-this-world delicious canned meat in the universe. How about that?"
Watching the Mengji Snow Leopard gently sniff the medicine and the can in Liang He’s hands, Xu Yi and Duke Kuang Lin, who were standing outside the door, couldn’t help but tense up.
Liang He was stepping on two massive landmines for Evolutionary Beastmen: taking medicine and being hand-fed!
"Will Miss Liang He succeed?" Duke Kuang Lin scrunched up his face, his eyes full of worry and anticipation.
"She probably... can, right?"
It wasn’t Xu Yi’s first time witnessing such a scene, but out of habit, he didn’t give a definitive answer. He didn’t really mind, but he was worried that if Liang He messed up, Duke Kuang Lin might misunderstand and become dissatisfied.
"MEOW~"
Duke Kuang Lin stared unblinkingly at the Mengji Snow Leopard. He watched as his son sniffed the medicine, sniffed the can, and then began to roll around and throw a tantrum, trying to eat only the meat and skip the medicine.
"No, you have to take the medicine first."
Liang He rejected the Mengji Snow Leopard’s whining with an indifferent face. She hid the can behind her back and pushed the medicine forward, her stance absolutely clear.
"MEOW!"
The Mengji Snow Leopard spun in circles, feeling wronged and dissatisfied. He even held the tip of his tail in his mouth, as if in protest.
"Protest invalid."
Seeing that Liang He remained unmoved, the Mengji Snow Leopard’s ears drooped, and he lay listlessly on the treatment bed. The sight made Duke Kuang Lin’s heart ache all over again.
"How about we let Miss Liang He give Kuang Ye the can first? He’s so badly injured. Just let the kid have a bite."
"Ahem, Duke Kuang Lin, please allow me to offer a friendly tip. When Liang He is interacting with the furries, she doesn’t like people telling her what to do."
Xu Yi’s words didn’t sound particularly pleasant, but they were the truth, and Duke Kuang Lin understood his meaning. After all, Liang He was the only person Kuang Ye trusted right now. The duke couldn’t afford to offend her, as that would be cutting off his son’s lifeline.
"Understood, understood."
But understanding was one thing; as a father, his heartache was genuine.
"Wait, what is she doing?!"
Having successfully dissuaded Duke Kuang Lin, Xu Yi turned his gaze back to the treatment room, only to be shocked by Liang He’s audacious move in the very next second. His mouth gaping wide enough to swallow a whole egg, Xu Yi perfectly embodied the word "dumbfounded."
"How dare she?!"
Liang He had actually pried open the Mengji Snow Leopard’s jaws and shoved the medicine right in!
"Is she really not afraid of having her hand bitten off?"
The Mengji Snow Leopard’s bite force could easily snap a person’s limbs.
But now, even after being treated so roughly by Liang He, the Mengji Snow Leopard’s first concern was actually whether his teeth would scratch her!
Sensing the Mengji Snow Leopard’s body growing increasingly stiff—his mouth wide open, not daring to close—Liang He let out a chuckle. She then mercifully withdrew her hand from the leopard’s jaws.
"Leopard is so good! You know you can’t hurt the people who are good to you, right?"
"MEOW..."
Finally able to close his mouth, the mentally exhausted Mengji Snow Leopard licked his lips, stealthily wiping away the drool that had nearly dripped out.
He thought, "Ugh, this is too humiliating for a leopard!"
The Mengji Snow Leopard’s reaction was clearly beyond anything Xu Yi and Duke Kuang Lin could have imagined. After recovering from their initial shock, they were left utterly astounded, their admiration for Liang He growing even deeper.
"Miss Liang He is truly a warrior," Duke Kuang Lin couldn’t help but sigh in admiration. Only such a warrior could tame his bratty son so completely.
Meanwhile, Xu Yi simply thought Liang He was incredible. She dared to constantly dance on a fierce beast’s last nerve, yet every single time, she hit the sweet spot perfectly, rendering the beast completely unable to resist!
"Should I ask Liang He for advice and learn a few tricks?"
Liang He, oblivious to Xu Yi’s bold idea, kept her promise. After force-feeding the Mengji Snow Leopard his medicine, she opened the can of meat and brought it to his mouth.
The Mengji Snow Leopard had originally intended to act a little reserved to show Liang He she shouldn’t feed him medicine like that next time. However, his nose was far too sensitive. Instantly enveloped by the rich aroma of meat, he immediately abandoned his struggle.
"MEOW!"
The Mengji Snow Leopard pounced on the canned meat. His liberated tail swished gently back and forth, as if saying, "Delicious, delicious, super delicious!"
Seeing him eat so happily, Liang He was also delighted. She took the opportunity to smooth out the Mengji Snow Leopard’s slightly messy, clever little tuft of fur.
Soon, the can of meat was completely empty.
"Look at this kid. Why is he eating like he’s been starved for a lifetime? He has no restraint at all!"
Fathers were always like this—terrified their children wouldn’t have enough to eat, but the moment they did, they loved to offer a few words of lecture. However, compared to Kuang Ye’s previous frenzied state, Duke Kuang Lin figured that a lack of restraint was nothing to fuss over. At least he wouldn’t go hungry.
As long as the kid was alive, that was enough.
"Kuang Ye hasn’t eaten for a day and a night. After waking up, he couldn’t even take a nutrient injection and threw a huge tantrum. He’s probably been starving for a while."
Social etiquette prevented Xu Yi from echoing the duke’s criticism; instead, he had to find a suitable excuse for the Mengji Snow Leopard. Sure enough, upon hearing this, Duke Kuang Lin immediately smiled, no longer disdaining his silly son.
Not only that, as he looked at Liang He—who was gentle and meticulous, yet had his son completely under her thumb—he suddenly had a bold idea.
"I wonder if Miss Liang He is married. Although my brat is a bit wild, he is very loyal in relationships. If..."
Just as Duke Kuang Lin sank into his daydream, becoming increasingly convinced that it was a solid plan, a deep, steady voice abruptly rang out from behind him, nearly giving him a heart attack.
"Duke Kuang Lin, trying to poach someone right in front of me isn’t very appropriate, is it?"
