Chapter 158: Chapter 158: Great-Aunt Is Also a Hot-Tempered Two-Faced Person?

Liang He was certainly willing to help, especially since it was Silver Feather asking; she really liked her new friend. However, she had finally returned from her business trip. It was indeed a bit frustrating to leave again before her bed was even warm.

"Is it... very cold where you are?" Liang He hesitantly voiced her concerns. It definitely wouldn’t be easy to bring the fluffy little guys to a freezing, snow-covered place. Unlike here at home, where all kinds of heating measures were excellent, what if they caught a cold and got sick?

"So that’s what you were worried about?" Silver Feather, who initially thought Liang He was trying to politely decline, immediately perked up upon hearing this. Taking advantage of their shared gender, she tightly grasped Liang He’s hands. "Don’t worry! You don’t have to make the trip. As long as you agree, I’ll immediately arrange for someone to send him over!"

Are you kidding? When asking for a favor, it made no sense to have the helper run around while the requester just sat and waited.

From the very beginning, Silver Feather’s plan was to send Yin Qi to Liang He’s place. If the treatment worked, it would be even better if he could naturally transition into staying there. After all, inviting Liang He to the Silver Wing Temple to treat him would only last ten to fifteen days at most. If Yin Qi was sent here, he could be treated continuously until his Evolutionary Stage was complete! Silver Feather definitely knew how to calculate this particular equation.

"But isn’t he the Divine Beast of the temple?" Liang He asked. She thought a Divine Beast was like a totem—revered by the people and required to stay in one place—so she hadn’t considered the possibility of Yin Qi coming to the reserve.

"Ah, it’s just an empty title. Don’t worry about it, really!" Terrified that Liang He might change her mind, Silver Feather already regretted introducing Yin Qi as a Divine Beast. However, once she sent him over, given his Beast Form, calling him a Divine Beast might still be the most plausible explanation.

"That works, then. The animal dormitories have empty rooms; there’s plenty of space," Liang He said. When they rebuilt the animal dorms, she had anticipated that the Canglan Hunting Eagle and his companions wouldn’t be the only residents, so she had reserved a few single rooms. Now, they were finally coming in handy. "However, if he’s sick, he might need to stay in the medical room for treatment and observation first."

She informed Silver Feather of these possibilities in advance to set her expectations, saving them both from any misunderstandings later.

"That’s perfectly fine. Since I’m handing him over to you, it means I have absolute trust in you. Just do things your way and don’t worry about me."

If you doubt someone, don’t use them; if you use them, don’t doubt them. As the Holy Daughter, Silver Feather was no naive, ignorant girl. Furthermore, she genuinely trusted Liang He. The fact that Liang He agreed to help her was already something to be deeply grateful for. Besides, Liang He’s successful cases were right in front of them—and there was more than one. If Silver Feather started nitpicking and backseat driving, it might backfire, and she would have no one to blame but herself.

"Alright then, have someone send him over." Confirming that Silver Feather wasn’t forcing the issue, Liang He stopped hesitating and finalized the decision.

Coming back to her senses, she finally remembered Huo An, whom they had completely ignored. Feeling a bit guilty, she rubbed the tip of her nose. "Brother Hao, um... is this okay?"

"I’m fine with anything. You call the shots," Huo An replied.

As the director of the reserve, Huo An technically should have been the first to approve before Silver Feather could send Yin Qi over. But Liang He was a special case. Besides, she was now the stationmaster of the Seventh Service Area. This was her turf, so he let her have the final say.

"Wonderful! Then it’s settled!" Silver Feather cheered.

Before coming here, she had worried that she would be given a hard time for a long while, considering the massive disaster Silver Shuttle had caused and the fact that she was the one asking for a favor. To her surprise, not only did she and Liang He hit it off right away, but Silver Shuttle’s mess was also lightly brushed aside. Now, Liang He was even willing to do her such a huge favor. She truly didn’t know how to thank her.

"Liang He, on behalf of the Silver Wing Temple, I sincerely thank you. From now on, as long as you ask, I will help you to the very end without any hesitation."

Though spoken in her personal capacity, the weight of Silver Feather’s words was immense given her status as the Holy Daughter. Seeing that Liang He had gained yet another powerful backer, Huo An’s lips curled into a satisfied smile. He casually glanced at the dumbfounded Silver Shuttle standing nearby.

There was an old saying on the Blue Star that blessings and disasters come together. It meant that fortune and misfortune were often intertwined. Silver Shuttle had taken the Rebel Army’s bounty mission to kidnap Liang He, but his exposed identity had inadvertently forged a connection between her and the temple. In a way, his merits and faults had canceled each other out.

"There’s no need to be so polite. Aren’t we friends?" Liang He didn’t feel much about Silver Feather’s solemn promise. She simply felt she was doing a small favor for a friend; there was no need for such grand formalities.

"Yes, yes, yes, we are friends!" Having never made a friend from the outside world before, Silver Feather couldn’t stop the corners of her mouth from rising. She was smiling so widely her face nearly split, looking nothing like the icy, unapproachable figure she had been when she first met Huo An.

"Does your Holy Daughter have two different faces for outsiders?" Xu Yi, being the bold type, poked Silver Shuttle and asked in a hushed whisper.

"She’s the Holy Daughter, isn’t she? She has to put on airs when she’s out and about," Silver Shuttle replied.

Watching his great-aunt gradually reveal her true nature, Silver Shuttle sighed softly and shook his head in resignation. He couldn’t really blame her. Being bestowed the title of Holy Daughter was never her wish; being able to suppress her true personality and put on an act in public was already a rare feat.

"Why do you think I call her ’great-aunt’?" Silver Shuttle continued. Aside from the generational hierarchy in their family, it naturally had a lot to do with her behavioral style. If he was the little tyrant at home, then Silver Feather was the invisible T-Rex—the kind absolutely no one dared to provoke.

"Brother, you have it rough," Xu Yi said, patting him on the shoulder with deep understanding after seeing his complicated expression.

"What are you two whispering about over there?" Silver Feather, who was just chatting with Liang He about Yin Qi, caught a glimpse of Silver Shuttle and Xu Yi whispering to each other. Her intuition told her it was definitely nothing good.

"Nothing! Great-aunt, are you hungry? Should I get you something to eat?" The moment Silver Feather spoke, Silver Shuttle almost jumped out of his skin. He wished he could immediately vanish from her line of sight to spare himself from her wrath.

"I don’t like drinking nutrient solution..." The mere mention of food reminded Silver Feather of those messy, dreadful nutrient solutions. Her face immediately paled with extreme discomfort.

"Not nutrient solution, real delicacies!" Silver Shuttle suddenly recalled that their family had always disliked interacting with the outside world and paid very little attention to trends on the Star Network. She probably had no idea about the Blue Star cuisine yet.

"Wait, that’s not right. Holy Daughter, you know about Liang He, so how did you miss the Blue Star delicacies?" Silver Shuttle asked. As the one who popularized Blue Star cuisine, Liang He was usually linked with food tags on the Star Network. It shouldn’t have been something easily overlooked.

Little did Silver Shuttle know, Silver Feather had directly ordered her subordinates to compile the investigation files. Her search keywords had completely excluded anything related to food.

"Mind your own business! Hurry up and get the good food!" Feeling called out, Silver Feather’s fiery temper flared. She delivered a swift kick to Silver Shuttle’s calf, ordering him to get lost.

Sensing her displeasure, Silver Shuttle didn’t dare show off anymore. He scurried off to the kitchen to find some food, only to come up empty-handed.

"Breakfast is in the incubator. Need help?" Hoder asked. He had been in the kitchen eating his breakfast the entire time. He was aware of Silver Feather’s arrival, but figuring Huo An was there and he didn’t need to worry about it, he prioritized his own stomach first.

"Thank you... Wow! Is the breakfast at our service area always this lavish?" Silver Shuttle exclaimed.
