Chapter 119: Chapter 119: Mysterious Note, Princess Yifeng

Perhaps due to President Lucas’s overwhelming enthusiasm, Liang He finally relented when he asked her to teach a class for the second time. However, she clarified that it wouldn’t be a formal lecture. Instead, she would simply be sharing her experiences as a Breeder. This change in phrasing made a significant difference in how it would be received. The former placed Liang He on a pedestal as an instructor, while the latter framed it as a friendly exchange among peers, making it far more approachable.

"Have you decided on the topic for your lecture... I mean, your sharing session?" Hoder was surprised to hear that Liang He had agreed to do it, but he was also incredibly curious about what she planned to talk about.

"You’ll find out when the time comes." Keeping him in suspense for once, Liang He curled her lips into a smile and blinked playfully.

The sharing session was scheduled for the morning of the final day, giving Liang He plenty of time to prepare. The training conference’s closing ceremony would take place that afternoon, and once it ended, they could set off on their journey back to Sky Shining Star.

"By the way, did you find out who left that sudden note the other day?"

That night, after bathing the Platinum Giant Lion, Liang He had returned to her room only to discover a piece of paper on the floor by the door. Someone must have slipped it through the crack. The message written on it was brief, but it confirmed Liang He’s suspicions.

[Soros is a bounty hunter. Be careful.]

Honestly, if it hadn’t been for that note, Liang He never would have associated Soros with bounty hunters. After all, he seemed... a bit dense.

"No," Hoder replied. "The person must have figured out the camera locations beforehand. They avoided the surveillance and even hacked the feed for a moment, leaving absolutely no trace." Speaking of this, Hoder felt rather frustrated. Aside from Soros, someone else was deliberately approaching them, watching them from the shadows, and he hadn’t noticed a thing.

"Whatever happens, happens. We can’t hide from fate, so don’t dwell on it." Liang He patted Hoder’s shoulder in consolation. She then turned around and led the Platinum Giant Lion out the door, ready to get some fresh air with Princess Beibei.

Ever since Beibei kept the Platinum Giant Lion company while he was blow-drying his fur, she absolutely loved hanging around him. Even with just a simple ball, the large beast and the little girl could play on the lawn to their hearts’ content. Naturally, Liang He had also learned from Hoder that the elegant lady was the Royal Court’s Third Princess.

"Liang He, may I call you that?" The Third Princess smiled apologetically at Liang He for hiding her true identity from her savior. Given her status, she really should have rewarded her benefactor with a heavy gift.

"Of course. But..."

"But what?" Seeing Liang He hesitate, the Third Princess instantly grew tense, worried that the girl blamed her and refused to forgive her.

"It’s nothing much. I’m just not used to calling someone ’Third Princess’ and the like. Would it be alright if you told me your name?"

The Third Princess, whose heart had been in her throat, was stunned by Liang He’s sudden shift in topic. Since getting married, it felt like this was the very first time someone had asked for her name. In everyone else’s eyes, she was first and foremost the Third Prince’s wife, and secondly, Beibei’s mother. She was never just herself.

"Of course. My name is Evelyn."

"Alright. Hello, Evelyn." Liang He smiled warmly. Her bright, sparkling eyes looked at Evelyn with such sheer sincerity that it made Evelyn’s heart beat a little faster. It seemed she had made a true friend—one who treated her with equality, kindness, and respect.

"Hello, Liang He." Evelyn clasped Liang He’s hand. It was a gentle shake, yet it felt deeply significant. By the time she snapped back to reality, she realized she had held on far longer than standard social etiquette allowed. Feeling quite embarrassed, Evelyn let go and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Beibei seems to really like Cyril." Being considerate, Liang He seamlessly changed the subject, redirecting Evelyn’s attention to Beibei.

"Yes, she talks about Cyril all day long. This has finally fulfilled her childhood dream of playing with a big lion." Watching her precious daughter frolic with the Platinum Giant Lion, Evelyn couldn’t help but reveal a loving smile. "I still have to thank you and Cyril for saving our lives. If it weren’t for him, Beibei probably would have been left with a terrible psychological shadow."

"Beibei is quite bold. She’s a brave little girl." Hearing Evelyn bring up the life-saving grace again gave Liang He a slight headache. She didn’t think she had done anything all that amazing; the credit mostly belonged to the Platinum Giant Lion anyway. "If she takes a liking to other small animals next time, she’s more than welcome to visit the Tianyao Star Protection Zone."

Liang He also adored the Little Princess, Beibei. She was polite, well-behaved, and completely devoid of any royal arrogance—clearly, her parents had raised her well.

"Really? She will go crazy with joy." Evelyn didn’t act coy about Liang He’s invitation at all; she was simply thrilled. As a Princess, both before and after her marriage, the vast majority of the people she interacted with were from noble families. Rarely did anyone give her the same relaxed and cheerful conversational vibe as Liang He did. Because of this, she cherished her newfound friendship with Liang He immensely.

"Liang He, can we exchange contact numbers?" This was the first time Evelyn had ever taken the initiative to share her private number.

"Sure." Oblivious to the significance of this gesture, Liang He casually and happily exchanged numbers with Evelyn.

Beibei and the Platinum Giant Lion played from daytime straight into the night, just as Liang He and Evelyn chatted from dawn to dusk. It wasn’t until the two adults, one child, and one fluffy beast had dinner together that Beibei reluctantly said goodbye to the big lion and her older sister.

"Who’s there?" On her way back to her room, Liang He suddenly turned her head, feeling as though someone was watching her. However, since the Platinum Giant Lion wasn’t showing any strong reaction, the person had to be someone she was familiar with, or at the very least, they meant no harm.

"Weird..." Muttering to herself, Liang He continued down the hall with the Platinum Giant Lion.

It wasn’t until she opened her door, stepped inside, and closed it behind her that a familiar figure stepped out from the shadows of a corner.

"Well... I was almost spotted." A smile played on the man’s lips. He was highly satisfied with Liang He’s vigilance and quick reflexes. At the very least, she wouldn’t easily fall victim to stalkers or ambushes, which was quite good.

CLICK.

The door suddenly opened again. Hoder poked his head out, scanning both ends of the corridor. Finding nothing out of the ordinary, he shut the door once more.

"I don’t see anyone suspicious." After Liang He returned and mentioned that she suspected someone was following or spying on her, Hoder had immediately opened the door to investigate.

"They might have realized you caught onto them and left early. How about I just stick by your side for the next few days?" Initially, since Liang He was hanging out with Evelyn and her daughter, it would have been awkward for a grown man like Hoder to tag along, so he had stayed in his room to play video games. But now that he knew someone was tailing her, he certainly couldn’t just ignore it and comfortably slack off any longer.

"It’s fine. They probably don’t mean any harm." Liang He waved her hand dismissively, telling Hoder not to be so tense. "It’s time for my video call again. I’ll head back to my room first; help me look after Cyril."

Since she had to hide the fact that the Platinum Giant Lion had secretly tagged along from the other fluffy animals, Liang He, who had absolutely no desire to experience another chaotic scene, had no choice but to leave him in Hoder’s care.

The moment her video call with Xu Yi connected, her entire attention was captivated by the sight on the screen, and her mouth twitched.

"Doctor Xu, what are they..."
