Chapter 1554 Send Dana In
Chapter 1554 Send Dana In
Dana laughed as she heard that they were linking bets on both advancements, hoping to get better odds out of the wager.
“Alright, I’m on my way in. Get your wagers ready.”
Before she entered, Cara took the chance to stack the deck on the outcomes.
{Chaos Gremlin Cara Offers Knowledge} Skill [Chaos Vortex] is incompatible with the Dana Mage.
{Skill Transfer Failed}
{Chaos Gremlin Cara Offers Knowledge} Skill [Dark Flame] has been granted to the Dana Mage.
{Skill Learned)
{Chaos Gremlin Cara Offers Knowledge} Skill [Tribulation Chain] has been granted to the Dana Mage.
{Skill Learned}
Dana missed the messages as she activated the obelisk, and her mind was filled with the Class Change interface.
The options in front of her were mostly just what she had expected.
However, there was one at the end that absolutely, definitely, did not fit with the theme. The avatar representing the class was wearing skintight latex, and carrying a chain that appeared to be made of Divine Lightning.
It also had Succubus wings, not fox ears.
Sure enough, when curiosity won, and she looked at the skills, [Tribulation Chain] was one of the core skills of the {Enlightened Guidance Mage} class. “Enlightened guidance, my ass.” Dana muttered, then checked her skill list, and found that Dark Flame and Tribulation Chain had both been added in the last minute.
“I wonder which one of the beasts did this? She thought sarcastically, already knowing the answer.
Likely, she hadn’t been compatible with whatever Cara had tried first.
However, it was one of only three options that was surrounded with Golden light. There were ten in pale blue light, two in purple, and the three golden illuminated ones.
Just going by the brightness was enough to let her guess what order they went
in.
But after looking at one of the first ones, and realizing that it was actually inferior to the Murim Battlemage class that she had already discarded in favour of the Mystic Blademaster Class.
Sure, it had grand sounding skill names, but they simply weren’t outstanding if you weren’t a basic mage.
All the blue ones appeared to be that way.
Good for basic mages, but not better than what she had.
Then she went to the purple highlighted ones.
{Battlemage Champion} was good, but when she looked through it, all the skills looked like analogues to her current {Mystic Blademaster} Class. The damage levels were similar, and while picking the class would give her more options, it was more of a side grade.
She skipped the other purple option and went to a golden highlighted one that showed her in ornate armour holding a spear similar to the one that Karl had just made for her.
{Immortal Blademaster General} was clearly an upgrade from {Mystic Blademaster), as it even listed [Auto Parry] as a prerequisite skill for its core skill [Improbable Turnabout]. The skill would blast all targets within twenty metres away from you when [Auto Parry] was impossible for one or more incoming attacks that would deal more than ten percent of your health, or if you were under half health.
It was definitely a good one.
That left her one more golden quality option. She had seen the oddball class, the direct upgrade from her current class. And now, Dana moved to look at the final top quality option.
Outwardly, it didn’t look special.
The avatar it generated was just like her own current appearance, with long white hair and fluffy fox ears. It even matched her outfit, instead of showing her in a different armour style like most classes would.
{Golem Mistress}
{Crushing Constructs} increases Golem Damage or Defence by an amount equal to one chosen skill. Damage type and effects change to match the chosen skill.
That skill was absolutely broken. If she assigned [Dark Flame] to her Golems, they would deal massive amounts of fire damage that would be nearly
impossible to put out.
Absolutely terrifying.
Oddly, it only had one Class Skill. That was unusual for a top quality class.
So, she opened the Skill Tree, and found that it was all based on Golems, as predicted. But it had more than just summoning skills. It had buffs, construct specific skills, and even the ability to upgrade all Golems to use additional skills that she knew.
Having all her Golems know [Auto Parry] was spectacular. Having them all know a barrier and an attack skill like [Plum Blossom Slash] as well would make
them as lethal as any warrior.
Or, she could teach them one of her combat styles, so they would be more
agile and better combatants.
The possibilities were as varied as her own talents.
With Karl at her disposal, it wouldn’t be too long before she would have at least
a few new, rare and unique sorts of skills. And then, she could have her Epic Golems learn them, making them a step up from the average Dungeon Boss. Then, she realized there was another option. She could have all her Golems learn [Warbeast] and gain an Epic Grade constitution, as well as upgraded armour. Or [Elemental’s Wrath] to add 250 Percent damage as fire, and double
their strength.
A mere damage skill for her Golems was only the start. The transformations were the truly broken way to abuse that skill.
Transform them first, then buy the skills that would let her give the Golems access to multiple skills. Then, even the base stone statue golems would be well-rounded combatants.
Oh, there was also an upgrade to [Golem Duplication] that would improve it from doubled to tripled. That was way up the skill tree.
But eventually, it should be available.
{Class Chosen) Golem Mistress
{Congratulations on unlocking your new Class}
Dana returned to the Clan compound, and found all the Immortals waiting
anxiously with their betting slips in their hands.
“Golem Mistress, Gold Grade mage type class with a conjuration focus.”
The spectators went into momentary chaos as everyone either celebrated their
win, or the loss of their bets. The only one that was not excited was Cara.
She had foreseen so many wonderful things if Dana had just chosen the Enlightened Guidance Mage.
