Chapter 56: To The Dark Side.

After he reached Frank, he began talking to the green-skinned Small Boss. Lancelot turned to look at him and said, “Another one fallen to the dark side. What a pity.”

Then he turned to look at Robert. The sight of Robert practicing so well made him smile and say, “At least I got a good egg. And it is the best of the three. With him, I can consider this a fruitful morning.”

On the other side, Alexander was saying to Frank, “Please, can you teach me to fight? I want to learn how to use the easiest weapon.”

Frank immediately burst out laughing and said, “I see why that prickly princess refused to teach you.”

“You probably asked him to teach you how to use the club, and he nearly lost his head. What a pompous prick and his stupid ideology.”

“I mean, think about it. If you can’t use the weapon that will help you kill your enemy as thoroughly as possible, what are you doing?”

“Am I right?” he asked, still smiling.

But behind his smile and laughter, Alexander saw something that made him nod and say, “Yes, yes. You’re completely right.”

Frank immediately slapped him on his back and said, “That’s a good man.”

Frank’s metallic hand slammed against Alexander’s stone-like flesh, causing him to stumble a little. When Frank slapped him a second time, he nearly fell.

He ignored his discomfort and said, “When can we start training?”

In response, Frank said, “Hmmm. I just sensed your strength. You’re at least 2 times stronger than that fellow over there.”

“Maybe 2.5 times. No wonder you were able to go head to head with him yesterday while bumbling about like a headless chicken.”

“That’s not important anyway. What’s important is that I’ve confirmed your three physical attributes are growing equally. You flesh titans are really something,” he said with a hint of awe.

“Isn’t it normal?” Alexander asked, curious.

Frank gave him a look that showed he had asked an ignorant question before asking, “What’s normal about you titans?”

“I do not know. I really don’t know anything,” Alexander said, shaking his head.

This reminded Frank of something as he said, “Ah. That’s true. You were a miner before all of these.”

“Well, the gist of the matter is that not all titans are made equal. Yes, every titan eats something to grow stronger, but how they grow differs.”

“Some titans mostly spend all of their resources on growing their Strength. Some prioritize their Agility, and others grow their Toughness at the cost of others.”

“These kinds of titans that prioritize one physical attribute to the detriment of the other two attributes are called low-grade titans. Usually, when the prioritized attribute reaches the limit, the other two won’t be able to grow anymore and will be stuck until evolution.”

“Take the iron titans, like that red-skinned idiot over there, as an example. Iron titans are medium-grade titans and prioritize growing their Toughness,” he said, pointing at Lancelot.

“His Toughness has reached 30 anima, but his Strength and Agility are stuck at 15 anima. Fortunately, he has a total of 60 anima and can still evolve. The potential to evolve is what differentiates medium-grade titans from low-grade ones.”

“Low-quality titans like stone titans also prioritize one attribute. But by the time they reach their limit of 30 anima in their main attribute, they don’t have enough anima to evolve because their other two attributes have lagged too far behind. With Agility and Toughness at 10 anima, only their ancestor can help them evolve.”

“Then take a look at someone as handsome as me, with my dashing green skin,” he said, flexing and showing off his muscles.

“I am a copper titan, a high-grade titan. I prioritize growing my Strength and Agility.”

“Because I had to grow two attributes, it took me a while longer and a lot more resources to reach my limit. I ate three times as many resources, but in exchange, my Strength and Agility are both 30 anima.”

“Only my Toughness is at 15 units. So I have a total of 75 anima and will have no problem evolving to Rank 2. I might even have a chance to evolve to Rank 3 like Lord Bane in the future.”

After flexing and praising himself to the high heavens by comparing himself to a Tyrant, he became serious once more and said, “Unfortunately, I am not the best. There is still the top-grade level standing above me.”

“The silver titans like Tessa are top-grade titans. Since she is at the peak of Rank 2, her Strength, Agility, and Toughness must have reached 90 units each. So she must have 270 anima in total.”

“Compared to my 75 total anima, she crushes me. She will definitely be able to evolve to Rank 3. It is a matter of fact.”

Shaking his head, he said, “It was already bad enough that I had Tessa above me, suppressing me. Now I have to deal with a bunch of flesh titans too. This is just not fair.”

“I’m sorry,” Alexander said, smirking as he slapped Frank hard on his shoulder.

As his hand smashed into the metallic shoulder, Frank moved away, avoiding him. So his hand swung through the air.

He stumbled, and Frank was there to take advantage. The green-skinned boss extended his arm and pushed Alexander lightly.

The push pushed Alexander past his limit, and he lost his balance. He fell and had to use his arms to stop himself from hitting the ground with his face.

“Nicely done,” Alexander said, admitting defeat. “But this is not over. I will get you one of these days.”

“Maybe,” Frank said, grinning with pride. “Until then, you have a lot to learn.”

“So when do I start learning?” he said as he stood up.

“Haven’t you learned something just now?” Frank asked, scoffing.

“But you do have a point. You didn’t come to me to learn those things. You came to learn how to fight.”
