The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard
Chapter 2867: Set a Seat for the Little Hero, Pour the Wine!
The mountain gate opened without wind, and a deep male voice came through.
"Come in."
Hey, it actually worked!
Carson Flores stepped into the barrier of the Sect’s mountain gate. Just a few steps in, he sensed a terrifying oppressive aura. Turning his head, he saw on the nearby peak, white tigers with dual horns raising their heads, staring straight at him, their blood-red eyes filled with overwhelming murderous intent.
Before Carson could take a closer look, a splash came from the adjacent stream, and a gigantic head emerged—a flood dragon, its entire body covered in scales, with dual horns sprouting from its head.
As expected of the Thousand Demon Monarch!
The cave abode was teeming with demonic beasts, each immensely powerful.
Even though he was a Middle Grade Great Land Supreme Immortal, the aura emanating from the white tiger and the flood dragon filled him with unease, indicating their realm and power were far superior, at least comparable to a Great Land Prime Immortal.
Such demonic beasts, the Demon Monarch commands over a thousand?
That’s just too exaggerated!
With such power, comparable to a top sect, who would dare provoke the Thousand Demon Monarch, given that he himself is a Quasi-Saint?
Carson continued walking, flying toward the peak ahead.
In other sects, even when they fly, there are things like White Jade Plaza and neatly arranged bluestone steps, but here it’s desolate, with no paths among the mountains, extremely primitive.
One man’s cave abode truly differs from others.
Carson flew straight to the end of the main peak, with demonic beasts constantly emerging from all directions, their eyes blazing as if ready to pounce and devour him in the next moment.
Atop the gigantic mountain peak stood a massive black palace. In front of the palace, various strange flowers and exotic fruits emitted a fragrance that could be smelled from afar.
"Boy, come in."
Carson landed in front of the palace and walked in through the open palace doors.
Inside the palace, it was resplendent and magnificent. A middle-aged man, wearing silk pajamas with his upper body bare, sat on a broad chair—no, it should be called a bed, for beside him lay two beautiful women in gauze clothes, their alluring figures partly visible.
In the center of the great hall was a massive swimming pool, where a group of beautiful women played in the water or lounged lazily on chairs by the poolside.
Carson’s eyes lit up, whoa, this is the extravagant lifestyle of an emperor!
Who would’ve thought the Thousand Demon Monarch was this kind of person!
But considering the strength and status of the Thousand Demon Monarch, such indulgence seemed all too fitting.
A peak existence below a Saint, what was wrong with having a harem of beauties?
Carson stopped at a distance from the pool, bowed with cupped hands, and said, "Junior Carson Flores, greets the Demon Monarch!"
The Thousand Demon Monarch, not particularly handsome, nonetheless exuded a strong masculine charm. He wrapped his arm around the woman beside him and scrutinized Carson with a few glances: "Who sent you to deliver the message?"
Carson smiled and said, "Junior actually came specifically to visit the Demon Monarch. However, coincidentally, I encountered issues with the Demon Race, and Brother Ward asked me to inform the Demon Monarch to be cautious, as they intend to occupy the Bitter Sea Immortal Domain. The Quasi-Saints of the Bitter Sea Immortal Domain will surely be their first targets."
The Thousand Demon Monarch raised an eyebrow: "Brother Ward?"
Carson nodded: "True Sage Grand Void’s senior disciple, Halvion Ward. He once fought the Demon Race leader, injuring him, but the leader escaped."
The Thousand Demon Monarch showed some interest on his face: "So, you’re also a disciple of True Sage Grand Void?"
Carson replied, "No, I’m from the Ten Thousand Immortals Domain. By a stroke of luck, I became acquainted with the True Sage, who... well, quite appreciates me. This time, I came to the Bitter Sea Immortal Domain to visit the True Sage and stayed at Grand Void Mountain for a while. Later, I accompanied his disciple to celebrate at the Mysterious Void Sect and just happened to encounter the Demon Race."
Borrowing the names of True Sage Grand Void and Brother Ward shouldn’t matter to those with grand but open minds, and besides, what I said was true.
If I didn’t drop those names, I might not have even gotten through the door, let alone inquired about the situation.
The Thousand Demon Monarch furrowed his brow: "The Demon Race has indeed come to the Bitter Sea Immortal Domain. How did they arrive?"
Carson recounted his encounters with the Demon Race twice. Not only did the Thousand Demon Monarch listen intently, but the other women in the hall also fixed their curious gazes on Carson; those playing in the water stopped, and those lounging sat up.
The Thousand Demon Monarch’s eyes turned peculiar: "So, you disrupted the Demon Race’s plans to invade the Bitter Sea Immortal Domain?"
Carson nodded: "More by chance, really, and it was ultimately Brother Ward who intervened; without him, I wouldn’t have survived."
Carson pulled out the Grand Void Mountain Token given to him by Halvion Ward: "This is the Grand Void Mountain Token gifted by Brother Ward, proving the authenticity of my identity."
The Thousand Demon Monarch laughed heartily: "So, you’re a hero of the Human Race. Someone, get this little hero a seat and bring wine!"
