Chapter 2866: Could This Guy Be the Heavenly Path’s Son?

"Pretty much. This should count as a big contribution. When I see Norric later, I’ll finally have something to say."

Carson Flores chuckled, spreading his hands. "My luck’s not bad, right?"

Snow Zane’s gaze was full of surprise. "Your shitty luck is actually amazing. The Immortal Domains are so vast, yet you just had to run smack into it. Those Demon Race guys are really unlucky."

Carson snickered. "Shouldn’t you say the Human Race’s fortune is flourishing, and the Heavenly Dao is favoring us?"

Snow Zane nodded slightly without speaking, but there was something subtle in her eyes.

To the Bitter Sea Immortal Domain, Carson was just a passerby. The Bitter Sea Immortal Domain was boundless; don’t say a single river valley—even the entire Red River Mountains were just a drop in the ocean to it.

But just like that, this passerby Carson didn’t arrive a moment early or a moment late—he showed up right when the Demon Race altar was about to be completed, and just happened to have the Space Bomb Kaelithra Nixon gave him in hand!

In Profound White Valley, Jorren Jaramillo and Grayan Darlington were kidnapped—no story is complete without coincidences. The guy who ruined the Demon Race’s grand plan showed up right beside them, and then ruined their plan again!

Calling this guy a Son of Destiny isn’t even enough to describe it. Is this guy actually the Heavenly Path’s Son?

He runs into everything?

And with stuff this dangerous, he walks away unscathed every time, not even a scratch. Sure, there are plenty of external factors, but how many people could ever have this kind of experience?

Come to think of it, after meeting him, my own fate changed as well.

If I hadn’t met him, my battle with the Master of Path would definitely have ended in failure and revenge unsatisfied. I’d be killed by the Master of Path, body destroyed, Dao extinguished. But now, I’ve actually turned misfortune into blessing—my condition not only returned to my Peak state, I might even step into a higher Domain of Time Divine Ability.

Nereida Nash stood to the side, listening to the two chatting with a faint smile. She didn’t interrupt, but the way she looked at Carson—her eyes were shining, openly filled with worship.

Carson turned his head and immediately met Nereida Nash’s bright, burning gaze, and his heart swayed for a moment.

Being stared at with such worship by a beauty like this—what man wouldn’t have his vanity explode?

"What are you laughing at?"

Nereida Nash giggled. "You’re really impressive."

Carson gave a sheepish grin and pointed at Snow Zane. "It’s all thanks to Delarosa, the senior backing me up. Otherwise, with my measly skills I’d have died long ago."

Snow Zane laughed. "Just take the compliment, less dragging me into it."

Carson snickered. "I’m just stating facts, Senior. How are you doing now, anyway?"

Snow Zane replied, "Give me a bit more time and I should be able to climb another level. But for healing, I already used up one Sky Jumping Beast’s Horn. If I keep comprehending, I’m afraid the other one will get used up too..."

Carson waved his hand carelessly. "Use it. If it lets you break through, what’s a single horn? Once you gain enlightenment and break through, that’s a lifetime’s return. Totally worth it!"

Snow Zane didn’t fuss, nodding. "Alright. Your investment will have a generous return."

Carson smirked, quite pleased with himself inside.

Back when he and Snow Zane first met and his tiny life was in her hands, he’d never imagined a scene like today would ever happen.

His Incarnation traveled, while his True Self refined artifacts.

Carson sat cross-legged in a quiet valley, carefully pondering Artifact Refining techniques. Before, he’d never had time to practice; now he finally did.

Carson had even considered making dozens of Incarnations, each refining artifacts, then merging back together to absorb all their Artifact Refining experience. But after testing it, while it wasn’t useless, it was far from as effective as he’d hoped.

When fusing Incarnations, he could get all of their memories, but for relatively subtle insights, it was difficult to truly "inherit" them—so that method was scrapped.

Whatever skills Carson’s True Self mastered, his Incarnations could have no problem mastering as well. So when it came to cultivating Artifact Refining techniques, Carson still had to do it himself.

As long as Carson succeeded in cultivating them, he could then split into dozens of Incarnations, working day and night to refine artifacts for him!

High-level labor, free of charge!

Carson’s Doppelganger Divine Ability had unlocked a new use; if he ever couldn’t keep adventuring, becoming an Artifact Refiner and Alchemist wouldn’t be bad at all—one person doing the work of many!

Traveling all the way forward, Carson headed straight to the Thousand Demon Monarch’s Cave Mansion.

Valley of Myriad Medicines.

Though called a valley, it was actually a stretch of continuous mountains, Layered Peaks rising one after another. The final peak towered into the clouds—that was where the Thousand Demon Monarch lived. In front of that mountain lay a paradise for Demonic Beasts.

Standing at the mountain gate, Carson’s eyes spun, then he lifted his voice: "The Demon Race has appeared; Grand Void Mountain is fiercely battling the Demon Race. I come bearing orders to deliver a message—requesting audience with the Demon Lord!"

In the Bitter Sea Immortal Domain, Carson was just a wanderer with no background. If he visited openly, they probably wouldn’t bother with him at all; he might even get scolded. So he struck first with momentum, directly dropping news about the Demon Race, then name-dropping Grand Void Mountain, and finally saying he was here with a transmission order—giving off the impression he had backing.

Borrowing the tiger’s might as a fox!

Anyone hearing that would assume he came from Grand Void Mountain or from the Domain Master’s Bitter Sea Island, right?

Even if the Thousand Demon Monarch was a Quasi-Saint, he wouldn’t be uncurious, and he wouldn’t just ignore that kind of face, right?
