The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard
Chapter 2847: Just Because He Can’t Find It, Doesn’t Mean You Can’t!
Thinking of the Ethereal Pagoda, thinking of The Mirror of Elemental Harmony, the way those two magical treasures appeared seemed about the same, which made Carson Flores can’t help but have a sudden wild thought.
Could it be that the two of them are somehow connected?
Could it be that Delarosa’s master actually knows the master of The Mirror of Elemental Harmony?
Carson Flores only knew the name "The Mirror of Elemental Harmony" from Delarosa’s mouth—she was the one who told him the true name of the Water-Fire Mirror was The Mirror of Elemental Harmony, that the method to control it was called the Harmony Slaying Immortal Technique, and that its master had once consecutively reflected eighteen great experts to their deaths...
Delarosa had warned him that once he entered the Immortal Realm, he should use The Mirror of Elemental Harmony as little as possible, lest he be recognized and bring a fatal disaster down on himself.
Carson Flores thought carefully again. Back when Delarosa told him this, that rather silent expression on her face made him unconsciously raise an eyebrow.
No way, right?
Could she really know them?
The more Carson Flores recalled, the more details surfaced in his mind; the more he thought, the more shocked he felt.
He’d have to ask Delarosa about it when he got back!
Carson Flores gathered his thoughts and said with a bitter smile, "A True Sage’s methods reach the heavens. Even he has searched and found nothing at all—let alone me. Looks like the Control Method for The Mirror of Elemental Harmony is probably going to be lost forever."
Kaelithra Nixon sighed and said, "On the Immortal Path, among the myriad techniques, any unique Cultivation Technique—once its master meets with mishap, body perishes and dao disappears—that technique will naturally be lost along with them. If fortune is good, perhaps because a legacy was left behind, some lucky successor obtains it and can bring it back into the world. But most that vanish, vanish forever."
"There are techniques that are lost, and there are those with outstanding talent who create new techniques. The myriad methods of the Immortal Path are endlessly reborn. Whether dispersal or new creation, both are just part of the whole."
Carson Flores nodded in agreement. Originally, there is no road in this world; once pioneers hack through thorns and brambles, a road appears. And as more and more later travelers come, that road gradually changes from a narrow mountain path into a broad avenue.
"Not being able to find it is indeed a pity. This The Mirror of Elemental Harmony is such a mystical treasure, yet now only the powers of water and fire remain. What a waste."
Kaelithra Nixon stared into Carson Flores’s eyes and said with a squinting smile, "Maybe one day you’ll find it. You can’t say for sure."
Carson Flores gave a wry smile. "Even someone with True Sage-level means can’t find it. I don’t have the slightest clue—how am I supposed to look?"
Kaelithra Nixon stared at Carson Flores mysteriously. "Master said, if he can’t find it, that doesn’t mean you can’t. For example, he couldn’t find The Mirror of Elemental Harmony, but you did. Some things can’t be solved just by having strong power—you also need luck..."
"Master said that you obtaining The Mirror of Elemental Harmony is fortune, is providence. As long as your fate is strong enough, perhaps someday in the future, with some unintentional action, you’ll suddenly obtain the Control Method, maybe even in some totally inexplicable way. After all, since heaven’s will let you obtain The Mirror of Elemental Harmony, it would be perfectly normal for heaven’s will to let you obtain the Control Method too."
"Heaven’s will?"
Carson Flores was thoroughly confused by Kaelithra Nixon’s mysterious talk. This was way too metaphysical.
Heaven’s will?
This enigmatic, unfathomable existence—who could possibly explain it clearly?
Carson Flores laughed and said, "All right, I hope that day comes. Say I fall on hard times, get hunted down, drop into the Abyss or some Secret Realm, clearly trapped in a desperate situation, in a land of certain death—and then I suddenly discover a corpse on the bottom of the Abyss or in some cave. Turned out to be the master of The Mirror of Elemental Harmony. He left behind the Control Method, and then I quickly learn it, combine it with The Mirror of Elemental Harmony, counter-kill my pursuers, and survive against all odds..."
Kaelithra Nixon was tickled so hard she kept cackling, laughing uncontrollably like a honking goose. "Right, right, maybe it’ll be exactly like that. Heaven’s arrangement is supreme—who can say for sure?"
Carson Flores smiled and said, "Okay, enough idle chatter, let’s head back. If we don’t, Othric Whitmore is probably going to get anxious."
Kaelithra Nixon stopped laughing at once, lips pouting slightly. "Annoying!"
Carson Flores’s mouth curled up a bit. He didn’t ask whether she meant he was annoying for pouring cold water, or that Myrion Whitmore was annoying for always sticking to her.
The two returned to Profound White Valley and went back to the viewing stands.
Seeing them return, Othric Whitmore let out a breath of relief and came over to greet them. Carson Flores perfunctorily replied with a couple of lines, then sat down in his seat and carefully observed everyone’s Artifact Refining methods.
Even though he couldn’t understand, he watched anyway and etched it into his memory. When he later learned Artifact Refining himself, he could come back and replay these memories, and naturally his impressions would be different.
The matches that followed came one after another. Carson Flores watched each one with great focus. During his free time, he took out those two Jade Slips, swept them with his Divine Sense, and began studying.
Carson Flores was like a sponge, wildly absorbing Artifact Refining knowledge. Although he hadn’t actually practiced yet, after seriously studying, when he watched again, he no longer felt completely like an outsider, but had that vague feeling of half-understanding.
The atmosphere of the competition grew more and more heated, and finally it was time for the finals.
Jorren Jaramillo’s prediction was right. He and Grayan Darlington, relying on their powerful refining skills, broke through the encirclement without any suspense and stepped onto the finals stage.
Artifact Refining Grand Tournament, Peak showdown.
Jorren Jaramillo VS Grayan Darlington, about to begin!
