The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard
Chapter 2845: I Can Teach You, But Don’t Blame Me If You Can’t Learn
How did you get them?
Carson Flores blinked and casually said, "By a stroke of luck, I discovered a graveyard of Demon Crystal Scorpions. When they are about to die, they go to the graveyard, and over time, many have died..."
Kaelithra Nixon widened her eyes, her gaze filled with shock mixed with a bit of peculiarity.
Was the luck really that good?
Even though she wasn’t an Artifact Refiner, she could still sense the extraordinary nature of the stinger. Just having one was astonishing, and Carson actually got over a thousand?
Jorren Jaramillo sighed, "This is indeed fortune and Immortal fate. I’ve encountered Demon Crystal Scorpions; their strength is comparable to a Great Land Immortal, and stronger ones can rival a Great Land Prime Immortal. With your strength, you probably couldn’t handle a few of them, yet you acquired so many stingers. Such good luck!"
"Since you have so many stingers, I can’t help with that task. So, are you thinking of learning how to refine these stingers yourself?"
Carson nodded, saying, "Yes, I won’t stay long in the Bitter Sea Immortal Domain, so I was thinking of whether I could learn to refine them myself. This way, when I have time, I can refine them slowly and not waste time or bother others."
"If refining involves the Star River Sect’s sacred secrets, then just consider that I never asked. I am still willing to lend you the Phoenix Fire for the competition..."
Jorren laughed heartily, "You cheeky guy! Are you turning the tables on me? Do you think this old man can take advantage of a junior for nothing?"
Jorren pondered for a moment and then spoke, "With the Phoenix Fire, refining these stingers is not really complicated. Even if you find an ordinary Artifact Refiner, they could make it if following their techniques. But, the quality might not be as high."
"If I refine them, I’d be using our Star River Sect’s Floral Refining Technique from the Hundred Refinement Technique, which isn’t classified as a sacred secret. However, it’s usually not passed on to those not belonging to our sect."
"I personally don’t care much about the outcome of this competition, but it involves the reputation of the Star River Sect, so of course, winning would be best. If you’re willing to lend me the Fire, you’re helping our sect. In return, I’ll share the Floral Refining Technique with you, but you must promise not to share it with others."
Carson was delighted and quickly saluted, "Thank you, senior. I promise to keep it confidential and never pass it on."
Jorren chuckled, "I can trust you, as someone appreciated by the True Sage Grand Void, likely a phoenix among men. I agree to teach you, but whether you can learn it depends on your own Artifact Refining talent. If you can’t learn it, don’t blame me."
Carson laughed openly, "If I can’t learn, it’s my dull talent, my problem, nothing to do with you or the Hundred Refinement Technique."
Hearing this, Jorren readily said, "Deal. You lend me the Phoenix Fire for the competition, I’ll return it after the final, and I’ll teach you the Floral Refining Technique. It’s a deal."
Carson nodded, "Deal. Thank you, senior. I’m the one benefiting here."
Jorren laughed heartily, "Mutually beneficial. How is it considered taking advantage? In fact, you’ve relieved me from a dire situation. Now it’ll be Grayan Darlington’s turn to be troubled."
Carson packed the Phoenix Fire into a porcelain bottle and handed it over to Jorren after some exchanges.
Jorren took the bottle and asked, "Have you ever had any experience with Artifact Refining or Formation?"
Carson answered honestly, "I have a friend with high proficiency in Formation. I’ve spent significant time with him, so I have some exposure to Formation but haven’t studied it systematically. As for Artifact Refining, I have no experience at all."
Jorren nodded, retrieved two Jade Slips from the Space Ring, and handed them to Carson. "One is fundamental to Artifact Refining, the other is a detailed explanation of Formations. You need to fully understand and master the former. For the latter, if you only consider refining the stinger, you just need to comprehend the principles of how Artifact Refining and Formation complement each other and the Formation required for refining the stinger; the rest can wait."
"Once you’ve learned to refine the stinger and finished refining over a thousand stingers, you’ll count as a genuine Artifact Refiner. However, if you wish to advance in the path of an Artifact Refiner, you’ll need to continuously broaden your horizon, master more refining techniques, and craft various magical treasures."
Carson took them, "Thank you, senior."
Jorren asked, "Are you here for the Artifact Refining competition, or to attend Myrion Whitmore’s banquet at the Mysterious Void Sect?"
Kaelithra Nixon answered, "I’m representing my master to attend the banquet. He’s accompanying me."
Jorren smiled, "Good, after the competition, you can come to get back the Phoenix Fire."
"Okay!"
Jorren smiled, "It’s not far from here to Profound White Valley. Since you don’t want to be noticed, you should head back on your own. I’ll take my leave first."
"Take care, senior!"
Jorren’s figure flashed like lightning and vanished in an instant.
Kaelithra Nixon turned to look at Carson, her gaze curious, as if she had seen a rare and nearly extinct animal...
