The Fake Son Wants to Live [BL]
Chapter 294 - That guy
Chapter 294: Chapter 294 - That guy
"W-what do you mean? What is going on, guys?"
Nansich looked at Jian, who was standing there with an amused smile, then at Bian, who was glaring at him like he had just committed some unforgivable crime. Before he could figure out what the hell was happening, the arms around him tightened again.
Nansich’s eyes widened.
"Okay, can someone get this guy off me?" he complained, trying to pull the arms away. "Seriously, this is suffocating!"
The man finally loosened his arms slightly, giving Nansich just enough room to move.
Finally!
Nansich immediately remembered the maneuver Eren had taught him. He grabbed the man’s arm and twisted his body, using the man’s own strength against him before throwing him over his shoulder.
"Get off me!"
The blond man went flying and landed on the ground with a heavy thud.
Nansich stood there panting, quickly straightening his clothes and fixing his shirt. He looked around.
Everyone was staring at him.
"What?"
No one answered.
Nansich frowned and turned toward Jian. "Now can someone just explain what is going on to me?"
Jian looked at him awkwardly. "Umm... that guy is the second prince and—"
"He is my mate!" Bian’s voice suddenly screamed across the courtyard. His eyes were already filled with tears as he glared at Nansich as if he had stolen something that belonged to him. "He is mine! My husband!"
Nansich stared at him for a moment.
Then he looked at Dican, who was still sitting on the ground.
"Well, nice to know." He rolled his eyes. "You can have him all you want. Just don’t let him get anywhere near me."
His eyes fell on the blond guy again.
The man’s eyes were filled with tears as he gazed up at him.
Nansich frowned. "What?" He immediately looked away. "Look, I saved you once back on Earth, but that doesn’t give you any right to suddenly hug me like that." He rubbed his arms, still feeling irritated by how tightly the man had held him. "Yes, I like men, but you’re clearly not my type."
"my mate... you are my mate." The man said standing up and closing the distance between them.
Nansich instantly pulled out his sword and pointed it straight at his throat when the blond prince looked like he was about to come closer again.
"So stay away."
Dican stopped.
Nansich lowered his sword and quickly walked toward Jian.
The moment he reached him, he leaned close to his ear, "Get me out of here..." he whispered desperately.
Jian glanced at him and immediately nodded. "Yeah... it’s probably best you do."
He grabbed Nansich by the arm and began pulling him away.
"He’s my friend," Jian said toward the others. "I’m sorry if he was rude, but please excuse his behavior."
He quickly dragged Nansich past Dican, who was still sitting on the ground and staring after them.
Once they were far enough away, Nansich finally let out a huge breath.
"What the hell was that?"
He rubbed his arms again, looking genuinely annoyed.
"Second mate shit? What are you trying to pull, Jian?"
Jian shrugged. "How would I know? He just suddenly hugged you. His gem reacted to you, and that can only mean a mate bond."
Nansich’s face twisted. "He already has Bian! Why does he need me?"
He looked back toward the blond prince in disbelief.
"Are Farians all like this? Are you people just allowed to have multiple wives?"
Jian almost laughed.
Nansich, however, clearly wasn’t amused.
He looked back one more time.
Dican was still watching him.
That same hurt expression was on his face, making him look like a kicked puppy.
Nansich’s face immediately turned sour.
"Ugh, look at him. He’s moping now," Nansich muttered, glancing back at Dican, who was still sitting there looking miserable. "Hey, did you see Bian’s hand? It was moving like a robot. Did he actually lose his hand or something?"
Jian finally couldn’t hold back his laughter.
"I think he lost his brain somewhere along the way too."
Nansich stared at him for a second before bursting out laughing.
"That’s probably why he’s acting like that!"
The two of them laughed together, their earlier awkwardness slowly disappearing as they walked away from the mess behind them. For a moment, neither of them seemed to care about the strange situation they had just gotten themselves into.
But when they reached the entrance of the enormous crystalline palace, both of them suddenly stopped.
They looked up.
Then they looked at each other.
Neither said anything.
Neither of them had ever actually stepped foot inside this palace nor this planet. Jian might have just discovered that he was a prince, but that didn’t mean he had any idea where he was supposed to go or what he was supposed to do now.
Nansich looked around the huge entrance, completely lost. "So... where do we go?"
Jian stared at the palace. "I have no idea."
They stood there awkwardly for another moment, neither willing to admit that they had absolutely no clue where they were supposed to be heading.
Just then, Xing Yu caught up with them.
He took one look at the two of them standing there like lost children and seemed to understand immediately. "I’ll lead you in," he held out his hand
Jian took it letting out a small sigh of relief. "Finally."
Nansich couldn’t help taking one more look back before entering the palace.
Bian was still there, his face wet with tears as he clung to the blond man. He seemed to be saying something to that guy, but Nansich couldn’t hear what it was from where he stood.
What bothered him more was that guy.
Even while Bian was hugging him, those piercing eyes kept following his way.
Nansich shifted uncomfortably.
There was something strangely unsettling about being watched like that. He had only met the man once before, back on Earth, and that had been under completely different circumstances. He had never expected to run into that alien again, let alone discover that he was a prince—and apparently married to Bian of all people.
What a fucking coincidence.
Nansich took a slow breath and turned his face away.
There was no point thinking too much about it. Whatever strange mate business was happening between them had nothing to do with him.
At least, that was what he told himself.
He straightened his clothes, put on his usual nonchalant expression, and followed Jian and Xing Yu into the palace.
It’s fine...
It’s all fine.
Even though the uncomfortable feeling of those eyes following him refused to completely disappear.
