The nuns were still hanging off Lloyd’s arms, and they were still looking at Adonis like he was something stuck to a boot.

Lloyd was enjoying it. Then his purple eyes drifted past the prince’s shoulder and stopped.

Prussia stood behind Adonis with her arms at her sides, a thin sheen of sweat on her skin from the long walk. Her thighs were thick and golden-brown, her arms were lean with muscle, and her face was stern and majestic in many ways.

Falsbane men had a type, and this was it.

Maybe it was because they were so pretty themselves that they craved something stronger.

Adonis saw the look on Lloyd’s face and almost laughed.

’Oh? He has a thing for Prussia?’

That could be useful. It was also baffling. Prussia was strong and gorgeous, no argument there, but what was it with protagonists and falling for her?

Lloyd walked right past him.

"You should know she’s a tough one—" Adonis said.

Lloyd shot him an irritated glare, perhaps worse than the ones the nuns had been giving him all this time.

"I really didn’t ask for your opinion. You’d do me a great favor by shutting up."

"Mhm. Okay."

Lloyd stopped in front of Prussia and held out a hand with his most charming smile.

"Will you also be joining the spiritual week? I’d love to see you in a nun’s habit."

Prussia didn’t take the hand. She folded her arms, bored.

"It’s disrespectful to abandon the lovely women you were with just to chase another one. Shameless."

She shrugged insouciantly.

"But I shouldn’t expect much from a Falsbane man."

Lloyd lifted a brow.

"Huh? Adonis is from Falsbane too. It’s fair to judge him the same way. He’s worthless, honestly. He hit on my grandmother and he lives in brothels. Everyone knows that."

Prussia looked over his shoulder.

"Adonis is different from most."

"That doesn’t even make sense, you—"

Lloyd stopped. She wasn’t looking at him, she was looking at something behind him. He turned around.

Adonis was standing in the middle of the nuns who’d been glued to Lloyd’s arm a minute ago. He’d said something, and now they were blushing and giggling like little girls.

"You’re so funny, Prince Adonis~"

One of them said as she hugged his arm in her breasts.

"And your stories are wonderful. Have you thought about writing a romance novel? With your face and talent, I’m sure they’d sell. Any woman would love to read what you write..."

Adonis pulled her in closer and opened his other arm which the rest of the nuns rushed into.

"I’ve considered it. But it’s better to be talented at one thing at a time. I don’t want to put people out of business."

The nuns laughed loudly with red cheeks, there was also a lot of eye contact, and a lot of touching. Some nuns placed their hand on his chest and rubbed him there while others hugged him much tighter so he could feel their buxom chest.

Lloyd squeezed his own face. "That wasn’t even funny!"

That was when a sweet scent drifted over the lawn.

Elegant red petals began to fall like rain. Everyone looked up and saw a majestic carriage rolling toward them, surrounded by armed guards.

"Huh?" said Adonis.

The nuns around him let go at once and stumbled back.

"It’s Big Sister Noelle!"

"She’s the most beautiful nun in the whole church."

"Mother Superior saw her talent when she was still a baby. That’s why she adopted her! She’s already as good at plant magic as a silver-class mage. When Mother Superior is away, she runs the entire convent."

Adonis angled his head so he could catch a good look at her pretty face through the petals.

Her face was elegant and aloof. She wasn’t smiling, but she was lovely anyway. She reminded him a bit of Prussia and her oddly sexy condescending face, though Noelle looked prouder, if that was possible.

One of the guards drew her sword and pointed it at his nose.

"How dare you look at Big Sister Noelle with those lecherous eyes of yours! I’ll take them!"

"Bold, isn’t he?"

"Staring at a maiden of Saint Melcius..."

Adonis raised both hands with the sharp blade in his face.

’These woman are crazy.’

He loved losing heroines, he really did, but Noelle was a hard one to like because of her unbearable pride. At least, it meant that he could humble her four or five times, women like her were pretty much masochists when it came to being disrespected.

In other words, she’s Mariella if she had a kink for being humbled every time and day.

Lloyd watched all this with a small smile.

’He has a way with women, but he doesn’t understand them. I’ll ignore Noelle completely and break her pride. Then she’ll be deeply attracted to me, and—’

Adonis chuckled, as someone who knew the story, he already knew what was going on in Lloyd’s head.

"Please, lower your sword. I was only so charmed by Big Sister Noelle’s heavenly beauty that I lost my mind for a second. Is it really a crime to admire a beautiful woman? Nun or not. In my eyes, Noelle is an elegant maiden that must be looked at."

Lloyd took a step back.

’He’s after her too?! Th-, This doesn’t make any— How can this bastard be so direct about it?!’

Up in the carriage, Noelle sat with her appetizing, long legs crossed and her chin resting in her palm.

She’d been silent the whole time, with one brow lifted.

’Since when are men this straightforward with me?’

Maybe the little bit of cosmetics she’d been sneaking on was finally paying off. Normally men kept their distance because they liked their heads where they were. This one was different. He was as beautiful as a maiden, yet more masculine than any man who had ever walked into this church.

’My biggest secret... is that I love men... so much...’

She pressed her thighs together at the compliment, she didn’t even realize she was smiling.

The nuns lost their minds.

"Did Big Sister Noelle just smile?!"

"At the prince?!"

"Is he really that charming?! Oh my!"

Lloyd saw it too, and panic hit him.

Noelle was his only ticket to Euphemia.

’Ignoring her won’t work anymore. I have to be direct too!’

He slicked back his hair and strode toward the carriage.

"I also have something to say about your beauty—"

Noelle effortlessly waved a dismissive hand without even looking at him, then pointed at Adonis.

"You. Come here."

Adonis cleared his throat and turned to Prussia and Alpis like he wasn’t just summoned by the convent’s biggest sister. In fact, Big Sister Noelle could’ve sworn there was a disinterested look on his face when she called him.

"Uh, I think we should go. I was ordered to see Mother Superior as soon as I arrived."

Noelle blinked. "H-, Hey. I told you to come here."

Adonis waved her off without turning around.

"I’m not a fan of taking orders from women so readily."

He stroked his chin as he walked.

’Unless it’s Minerva, of course.’

Noelle’s face went red. Her fingers dug into the carriage seat as she watched his back get smaller. ℴℴ𝘮

’I’ve had enough... as usual, men are always more eager to see Mother than to even talk to me.’

Her perfect, sparkling white teeth gnashed together.

Ding!

[The target ’Noelle’s’ affection for Host has increased by 10 points. Your handsome looks, boldness and unexpected charm have intrigued her. Your actions have also painfully exposed her insecurity about her mother. Host comforting her at the next encounter may be effective.]

Adonis shook his head at the empty air.

’What would a robot know about a woman’s heart? I’ll ghost her for a few days. Let her ask around and look for the man who charmed her so easily. If I comfort her now, she’ll see me as a friend. Women like problematic men. I’ll leave the comforting to Lloyd... mhm, it’ll make him look desperate.’

A pair of bright blue eyes was watching him.

Prussia had one brow raised.

"You do this weird thing, you know."

"Hm? What thing?"

"You go quiet for a minute or two. Sometimes you even talk to yourself. It’s very silly. You look like a madman."

"What? Why are you being so rude?"

Prussia scrunched up her face.

"Tch, oh please."

She turned away with her arms folded.

Seeing that vulnerable look on her face made an impish smile spread across the Fifth Prince’s face. He giggled under his breath and leaned close to her.

"Oh? Could it be you’re jealous? Because of all the attention I gave those nuns?"

"Hmph." She lifted her chin. "As if."

"You’re sure?"

His lecherous hand moved like a snake and slipped under her short layered skirt and squeezed. Prussia has a nice back, so grabbing her there felt like he grabbing at clouds.

"EEEEEKK!!"

Prussia shot straight up and shrieked, then slapped a hand over her own mouth.

Adonis grinned. His hand was still there touching her in a way she liked but couldn’t admit. She smacked it away and stormed off with fast, stiff steps with a face the color of a ripe apple.

Alpis smiled softly. "Prussia really likes you, doesn’t she?"

"Mhm." Adonis nodded. "I really like her too."

He stretched his arms overhead and yawned.

"Now then. Time to meet Mother Superior. I have a plan that might just steal her heart."
