The Extra who regained his past life memories
Chapter 198 - snowball fight.
We talked some more and got to know more about Lily as we went.
Finally, we arrived at our destination. I looked out at the snowy landscape.
Luna looked out too, her excitement growing.
Then Luna looked at Lily and her master. "Then we’ll take our leave. It was really nice meeting you guys."
Lily got up and came over to Luna’s side. "We’re going to a dungeon here. Do you want to come? It’s a test from my master."
Luna looked at her and said, "Sorry, not today. I’m really looking forward to exploring the snow and having fun, so I have to refuse."
Lily’s face fell a little, but she nodded.
From the side, I added, "Besides, it’s a test your master gave you, so you have to complete it alone."
"Otherwise, the whole point of the test would be wasted."
The mage woman nodded in approval. "Hmm, this brat has some sense."
Luna just laughed at that. "You two are like mortal enemies."
I just shrugged. "I can’t stand this old woman."
A black line throbbed on her forehead. "What did you say, you brat?"
I took Luna’s hand, and then we vanished.
Lily looked at that and laughed out loud. "Oh, Master, you finally met your match, huh?"
She just huffed. "That stinky brat! Next time I see him, I’ll teach him a lesson."
Lily just laughed.
As I appeared with Luna, I said, "So, I told you that old woman has a few screws loose."
Luna chuckled as I looked at all the snow surrounding us. I used my perception to make sure the place was safe, then pushed her into the snow with a grin.
"Here, enjoy."
Her blue eyes widened as she fell. I saw the confusion on her face turn into realization before she hit the snow.
I enjoyed watching all the reactions on Luna’s face.
She abandoned all the decorum of a princess, grabbed a snowball, and chased me.
"You... don’t think you can escape today!"
I laughed. "Oh, I’m so scared of a certain evil princess."
I made fun of her.
Her little face twisted into an expression of annoyed anger as she threw a snowball at me.
I disabled all my senses, my Space Barriers, and everything else I needed to enjoy the moment.
Luna knew that, so she didn’t use anything either.
This was a pure snowball fight, but our physical abilities were far higher than those of normal people, so we had to control our strength as well.
Even with all those restrictions, her aim was spot-on, and I got hit.
I almost stumbled as I grabbed a snowball and threw it at her face.
Snow spread all over her.
And the same thing happened to me.
I muttered, "Ahh, it’s so unfair that you have a constitution that suits you."
Luna looked at me speechlessly. "Are you speaking human language, Gray? You can adapt to everything, including ice, lava, and even space. So who’s the one in an unfair situation here?"
I just looked away. "That’s not the point."
Her eyes twitched. "Then what is the point?"
I smiled, got a hidden snowball, and threw it at her face.
"This is the point."
She didn’t expect it.
It was too late by the time it hit her.
She dropped to the ground as she saw my smirk.
She didn’t hesitate. She grabbed some snow, made a massive snowball, and lifted it.
It was bigger than her head.
When I saw it, my eyes widened. "Hey, Luna, let’s just talk about this like normal people."
Her smile widened. "Oh, now you want to talk, huh?"
A small bead of sweat rolled down as I looked at it.
I’m going to become a snowman if I get hit by that thing.
So I changed my tactics. I grabbed a snowball while running and threw it at her feet.
I almost got her, but she immediately regained her balance and threw that giant snowball at me.
I helplessly watched the giant snowball come toward me. If I wanted to, I could use many things to avoid it, but in my current state, I couldn’t avoid it without cheating.
Luna looked at me with a massive grin.
The snowball came straight at me, and I got hit and fell to the ground, buried in snow.
Luna’s bell-like laughter was the only thing that could be heard.
"Served you right!"
I slowly got up from the snow, dusting it off, and saw smug Luna looking down at me.
"Hmph... now you can see what happens when you mess with me."
I looked at her adorable, smug expression and laughed. "Yeah, yeah, I see."
"So, what are we going to do next?"
Luna thought for a moment. Seeing that no one was around, she said with slight embarrassment, "How about we... make a snowman?"
I smiled, confused about why she was embarrassed about making a snowman, so I asked. Her answer caught me off guard.
"It’s because we’re grown up now."
My eyes twitched violently. "Hey, we’re twelve, not twenty. Besides, what’s wrong with making a snowman? Lots of people do it."
She nodded but still looked a little embarrassed.
I just sighed as I thought of something, then asked, "Hey, how about we climb that mountain and make the snowman at the top?"
Her eyes brightened visibly as she nodded. "Really? That’s an amazing idea!"
I nodded as she got up energetically, then raised her hands into the air.
"Let’s go mountain climbing!"
Then we went to the mountain and began following the path to the top.
Along the way, I gave her some hot tea that I had protected with space magic so it wouldn’t get cold.
She took it with both hands. She wasn’t cold at all, but drinking a hot beverage while climbing a snowy mountain was exactly what we wanted.
We continued climbing while drinking our tea.
Luna took a sip and exhaled, releasing a snowy breath.
I looked at Luna. "So, how about we have a race?"
Her eyes lit up, but then she thought for a moment and added, "But teleporting isn’t allowed."
I nodded. "If I teleport, it’s too easy."
Then I looked at the road and was about to start, but Luna shot forward like a light beside me.
I blinked.
Ah, I was just about to take the lead...
Then I chased after her using Void Step, leaving only a blur behind as I tried to catch up with Luna.
She immediately sensed my presence and increased her speed.
Her movements were as graceful as always. She moved like lightning, but the snow around us barely got disturbed.
As for my movements, they were like a phantom’s. No one weak would be able to detect me.
Luna still needed to improve her movement art compared to mine.
However, when it came to speed, her movement was unmatched. Her Light Affinity boosted her speed, while her Moon Affinity augmented it further.
We ran in silence for a while. Every time I tried to catch up with her, she somehow increased her speed.
Then we arrived at the top.
There was another short distance to the true summit, but this place was considered the top, so Luna stopped and looked back before jumping with happiness.
"I win! Yeee!"
I just raised my hands. "Yeah, yeah, you win."
She was in a good mood because she knew I hadn’t held back. As for teleportation, it was irrelevant to her.
I looked at her happy expression and told her, "Look back."
She tilted her head adorably because she didn’t understand what I was trying to show her.
Then she looked back and saw the view of the surrounding area.
She looked at it in awe. "Wow, it’s so beautiful."
I nodded, brought out a chair, and offered it to her. "Here, take a seat and rest."
But she huffed and said, "But I’m not tired."
I nodded. "I know, but just take a seat and enjoy the view. We don’t get to see this kind of scenery every day."
She nodded, took a seat, leaned back, and completely relaxed as she watched the scenery.
I took a seat beside her.
"It’s a good thing I put everything possible in my Space Storage."
"So convenient."
She nodded beside me. "Hmm, do you have any coffee?"
I nodded, took out a cup of hot coffee, and gave it to her.
She took it with a smile. I took one for myself as well.
We watched the amazing view while drinking coffee.
