Chapter 195 - luna’s other side.

We remained like that for most of the night, and without realizing it, we fell asleep on the balcony while stargazing.

When the next day arrived, I looked beside me and saw that Luna had fallen asleep as well.

I got up without making a sound and created a Space Barrier around her so she could sleep peacefully for a little longer.

Then, I went to my room and freshened up. I made two cups of tea and tried to order a few pancakes.

But then I remembered that I had made some myself and put them in my Space Storage.

I thought about whether I should eat mine or order them from the hotel.

The choice was easy. I did both. I ordered the pancakes and got my own as well.

As soon as the pancakes arrived, I took two plates and summoned two Darkness Hands. Then, I brought out all the food and tea and carried them to Luna’s side, placing everything on a table on the balcony.

After that, I went to Luna’s side and gently woke her up.

"Hey, sleeping princess, get up! It’s breakfast time."

Luna’s eyelashes trembled slightly.

I didn’t give up.

"Hey, evil princess, get up! Isn’t that enough sleep?"

She opened her beautiful eyes and looked at me with confusion. She was still in her sleepy state.

She rubbed her sleepy eyes.

"Gray, what are you doing in my room...?"

I smirked at her.

"Oh, sleeping princess, look around. Where are you?"

She got up and looked around. To my surprise, a small, warm smile appeared on her face as she realized where she was.

"Hmm, it seems I fell asleep after stargazing."

I nodded and showed her the breakfast.

"See? I even prepared breakfast. Go and take a wash, then come back. I made sure everything was fresh."

She looked at the perfectly arranged breakfast table and extended a hand to grab a pancake, but I didn’t let her have it.

"No. Go and take a wash and freshen up first. After that, we can eat together."

She became her angry-hamster self and puffed out her cheeks before leaving for her room.

I watched her retreating back with amusement.

I didn’t eat or drink the tea. Instead, I created a Space Barrier and isolated the space so that nothing could affect the breakfast.

This was the same technique I used when practicing Void, my new spell.

It was really interesting to learn about Void.

Then, Luna came out of her room, fully refreshed and looking bright.

She took a seat beside me, and I removed the Space Barrier.

Luna looked at it and said, "Hmm, that barrier ability of yours is really a cheat."

I nodded.

"Hmm, that’s true. It has infinite possibilities. I can control anything inside the barrier, but I still can’t control things like time within it. In the future, though, it might be possible."

Her eyes widened.

"Really? That’s awesome!"

Then, I asked, "So, what do you want?"

She blinked and looked at me.

"What do you mean?"

I showed her the pancakes.

"This is the pancake I made earlier and kept in my Space Storage, and this is the one I ordered from the hotel."

She put a finger to her chin and fell into contemplation. Finally, she said, "Both! I want half of each."

I smiled, cut the pancakes in half, and gave her a portion of each.

She took them and said, "Hmm, how about we enjoy the tea first and eat the pancakes later with orange juice?"

I put a hand to my forehead.

"Ahh, your orange juice addiction will never end."

She smiled brightly as she picked up her teacup, looked out from the balcony, and took a small sip.

I also looked outside from the balcony, watching ordinary people going about their ordinary days.

I looked at Luna.

"So, what are we going to do after reaching the Frostvale territory?"

Luna thought for a moment before saying, "I haven’t experienced much snowfall. I’ve seen it a few times, but I’ve never really had the chance to enjoy it."

I nodded as I took a sip of tea as well.

After a few more moments, we finished our tea and moved on to the pancakes.

Luna stuffed her mouth with pancakes, strawberries, and blueberries.

She ate with delight before taking some fresh orange juice and drinking it.

I watched her happily eating before resuming my own meal.

Then, I spoke.

"How about we go to the Frostvale territory, sign up as adventurers, and take on a few missions and dungeons?"

Luna nodded, her eyes shining.

"That sounds amazing!"

After we finished eating, we got ready and checked out of the hotel.

We put on our cloaks to avoid attracting attention and continued traveling toward our destination.

However, we didn’t rush this time. We explored the city, looking around the shops, dessert shops, and many other places.

But after some time, I noticed that a few people were following us.

So, I moved closer to Luna.

"Hey, we’re being followed by someone. How about we go somewhere empty? I can’t just tell the guards to take care of them without knowing their intentions."

Luna looked back and saw a few people following us. As soon as she looked at them, they acted as if nothing had happened.

A smirk appeared on her face.

"Oh, good. Very good. They want to mess with us? Ah, let’s show them what happens when they do."

I smiled and nodded.

This is why I like Luna so much. She’s just like me.

We continued walking as if nothing had happened, looking around a few more shops before entering an abandoned alley that ended in a dead end.

When we turned around, those men surrounded us.

"Oh, where do you think you’re going? Hand over everything you have, and we might let you leave with your lives."

"Don’t even try to say you don’t have money. We saw you two going around spending extravagantly."

The leading man stepped forward, approached Luna, and tried to grab her.

I instinctively stepped forward and shielded Luna.

The burly man looked at me.

"Oh, trying to be a hero, huh?"

Then, I ignored him and turned to Luna.

"This is nothing more than a petty theft attempt. Just let them go."

Luna tried to nod, but when the man attempted to grab her, she subconsciously took a step back.

Her cloak slipped, revealing her face.

She was as stunning as ever. The group members looked at her in amazement, and the leader’s eyes gleamed with greed.

"Oh, what do we have here? A stunning little girl. You’d make a fine slave and sell for a high price."

My head turned toward him, and killing intent began leaking out of me.

At that moment, I genuinely felt like blasting that bastard’s head off with a single Space Blast.

If I tried, I could do it easily.

But Luna sensed my killing intent, so she grabbed my hand and said, "Calm down, Gray. Those nobodies can’t do anything to me."

I closed my eyes and tried to calm down, but the burly man tried to grab Luna again.

He had failed the first time, so he made sure to use more strength this time.

Luna didn’t even move. She stopped the shadow guard with a look.

As soon as the man tried to touch Luna, his hand froze.

The ice spread all the way to his shoulder before his arm shattered.

His eyes widened. Luna’s Ice Aura and Ice Control were enhanced by her class, so freezing this man into an ice sculpture was nothing to her.

However, she stopped at his hand. She summoned an ice blade out of thin air and pointed it at the man’s neck.

"If I find out you’ve tried to sell anyone into human trafficking or said anything about me again, I’ll freeze you until you become a complete cripple."

The other members of his group looked at us cautiously, wondering whether they should attack or retreat.

But the leader gritted his teeth and shouted, "Capture them! There are only two of them! I don’t care if you kill the boy. Capture the girl!"

My eyes darkened, but before I had to do anything, Luna gave a single signal.

A shadow guard appeared and took them down with ease.

Luna’s eyes were absolutely cold as she uttered the words, "I warned this man, and he’s the one who ignored it. Take them away and throw them out. Don’t kill them."

Then, her icy gaze moved to the leader as she continued, "As for him, cripple him by freezing him."

"I’m a princess. I keep my word."

The leader’s eyes widened before his expression turned to despair as the shadow guard dragged him away.

Only then did Luna’s icy expression soften a little.
