Chapter 160 - wake them up

I look at all the people waiting, and as usual, I can’t let things get boring.

So I take out a few of the juice bottles I have, along with some cups.

Amy sees them, and her eyes light up.

"Gray, nice timing! You brought those out. I felt thirsty just looking at them."

Luna looks at the juice bottles and searches for her orange juice. But once she realizes there isn’t any, her face falls like a deflated balloon.

I immediately take out her signature orange juice box and exaggeratedly hand it to her.

Her eyes light up like two bright blue jewels. She grabs the juice box, inserts a straw, and happily starts drinking.

Amy pours passion fruit juice into her cup.

Elena takes the watermelon juice.

Elara takes the apple juice.

Then I look at Mom and ask,

"Mom, want one?"

Mom looks at my expectant expression, clearly waiting for her to join us. Her face warms slightly, and she nods before coming over.

I go to Astrid next and invite her as well.

She nods too. After all, a fight isn’t going to happen here, so she takes a cup and reaches for the juice.

But she suddenly stops herself and looks at me before whispering,

"Hey, Gray, do you have any wine in there?"

Mom hears that and is about to question Astrid, but she sees me nod and take out a large bottle of wine.

Her eyes twitch as she looks at me.

"Gray, care to explain? You’re too young to have that."

I feel a cold sweat run down my back as Mom’s gaze shifts between me and Astrid.

Astrid immediately looks away.

I quickly say,

"Don’t worry, Mom. I didn’t drink it. I just took everything because who knows when I might want it?"

She looks at me, clearly trying to determine whether I’m lying.

But I never lie about something like this.

After a moment, she nods and takes the wine bottle from Astrid.

Astrid’s eyes widen.

"Hey! That’s mine sarephina give it back!"

Mom just looks at her.

Astrid immediately shuts up.

In the middle of all this, the Dragon Lord suggested,

"Hey, Aurelia, it’s pointless to keep waiting here for them to awaken. Send someone from your race to go and wake them up."

The Empress thought for a moment and decided that was probably for the better.

She looked at us, and her eyes twitched for a moment because we were completely treating this situation like a vacation.

All of us had gathered together, eating and drinking. Even my mom was with us, smiling.

The Empress coughed to get our attention.

We looked at her in confusion.

She said,

"Someone needs to go and wake up those who are unconscious. Who’s up for it?"

Luna, me, Elena, and Amy looked at each other, and no one volunteered.

Even Elara didn’t say anything.

I felt that if this continued, it would be disrespectful to the Empress, so I got up, pointed at myself, and asked,

"Me?"

She kept a smile on her face and replied,

"Who else?"

Luna said,

"Mom, I’m tired. I can’t. And how am I supposed to wake them up?"

I looked at Luna, then at the Empress.

Since no one else was volunteering, I immediately stepped forward.

"I can do it. Don’t worry. I’ll make them wake up."

The Empress saw me volunteer with a smile, but she immediately felt that something was wrong.

I wasn’t the type to volunteer for something like this.

She looked at me suspiciously and asked,

"What are you up to now, Gray?"

I looked at her with wide eyes.

"Aunt Aurelia, I just want to go and sleep, so I’ll make it quick and wake them up."

She looked at my sleepy face and nodded.

"Hmm. Okay. But be careful, or else I’ll have to answer to your mother."

I nodded, then looked at Luna and threw another orange juice box toward her.

"I’ll be back in a bit."

She caught it and nodded with a happy smile.

"Okay."

Then I used Teleport to go to the barrier and crossed it.

The Dragon Lord looked at me as I traveled through Space so easily, his expression remaining nonchalant. He didn’t say anything.

Then I walked toward the first person I saw.

From beside the Empress, the Elf Queen spoke.

"Is that kid trustworthy? He better not behave improperly or touch my daughter."

Her eyes narrowed.

The Empress laughed.

"Don’t worry. He is my daughter’s fiancé, and I trust his character."

"He is a gentlema—"

She stopped herself, and the corner of her mouth twitched again.

She changed her wording.

"He acts properly."

Because she saw what I was doing now.

At that moment, I saw an unconscious elf.

She was extremely beautiful, with long golden hair and flawless skin.

Then I thought to myself,

Ah. Not even close to Luna.

I took out a water bottle, made it cold, and poured it over her head.

She violently got up from the floor because of the cold and looked around.

When she saw me, she glared at me.

Outside, the Empress’s mouth twitched, but she said with a straight face,

"See? He isn’t interested in your daughter. He didn’t even touch her, and he woke her up as soon as possible."

The Elf Queen looked at the absurd scene, her mouth almost falling open at my actions.

Is this human even capable of feeling anything?

She looked at the Empress and asked,

"How does your daughter stay with that kind of person?"

The Empress laughed.

"Oh, don’t worry about that. They have a really good relationship. My daughter is more connected with him than with us at this point, and he treats her very well. He only acts like that toward outsiders."

The Elf Queen watched me and asked,

"But how can he do that? Can’t he wake her up properly?"

The Empress laughed again.

"He doesn’t like to waste time. That’s the fastest way."

The Empress clearly enjoyed every reaction she got from the Elf Queen.

Then she looked at me.

I just looked at the elf princess and handed her the water bottle.

"Go and wake up the others. What are you looking at me for?"

She looked so angry that she could probably punch a hole through me.

She gritted her teeth and asked,

"Can’t you be civil and call me properly?"

I just looked at her and said in a bored voice,

"Too much work. This way is faster. And don’t stay here chatting. Go wake up the others. I need to go and sleep."

She stared at me in disbelief, completely speechless and angry.

I pointed a finger toward the outside.

"Your mom sent me, so go and wake up the others."

She said,

"You go. I’m a princess, not your attendant."

A black line appeared on my forehead.

"Woman, listen. I don’t have time to waste. Go and wake up the others. And who do you think I am, some kind of attendant? I don’t care if you’re a princess or even the queen herself."

Then I poured another bottle of water over the next guy I found.

He reacted the same way as the elf princess.

I just ignored him, handed him a water bottle, told him the same thing, and continued going around waking up the others.

He was very cooperative.

Meanwhile, that stubborn princess stayed there like I had slapped her and killed her dog.

Then I saw the Dragon Prince, whom I had fought with last time.

I poured a bottle of water over his head as well, but that bastard’s body was so hot that the water evaporated.

"It seems he got something pretty powerful in there."

I didn’t give up.

This time, I used an ice block and dropped it on him. I made the ice block small enough that it wouldn’t hurt him.

But this guy had tough skin anyway, so it didn’t matter.

Outside, the Empress watched everything with amusement and said to the Elf Queen,

"Your daughter looks stubborn, but she met the wrong person to show her stubbornness to."

The Elf Queen didn’t say anything and simply watched.

Then the Empress looked at my mom and said,

"Seraphina, your son is very interesting. He always makes things interesting."

Mom nodded.

"He has been mischievous since he was little."

She sighed.

Then the Dragon Prince finally woke up as well.

"You... What happened?"

I just shrugged and handed him a water bottle, but it vanished almost immediately as I moved on.

"You lost consciousness from the aura of the demon."

His eyes widened as he remembered everything and nodded.

"Thank you for awakening me."

I simply waved a hand.

"No big deal."

Then I went to Eithen and poured a bottle of water over him as well.

He suddenly woke up and muttered,

"System, help me."

My eyes widened.

System? Is this bastard the protagonist or something?
