The Extra who regained his past life memories
Chapter 154 - last wave presumably
Then we waited for the next group of monsters.
We all sat down and tried to recover as much mana as we could.
Throughout this entire trial, Amy and Elena had been the MVPs. They killed most of the monsters on their side and didn’t let a single one get past them and come toward us.
Luna and I took care of our side and had fun while defeating them.
Luna looked at me and asked,
"What are you doing?"
I replied,
"I’m trying to infuse my Darkness with my Aura."
Her eyes lit up because she wanted to infuse her Light element with Aura as well.
But Amy and Elena heard us and came over to stop us.
"Hey, you two, don’t rush things. First, master your Ice Aura. You’re still far from achieving true Ice Aura. Master that first, then move on to another element. Understand?"
We looked at them and thought about it.
That was true.
We couldn’t maintain our Aura for a long period of time yet, and it was still unstable.
So we waited for the next wave.
Eventually, the next monster wave began.
But we saw nothing.
We looked toward the entrance.
Then we heard heavy footsteps.
Four Minotaurs appeared, each carrying a giant battle axe.
Amy and Elena looked at them.
"Gray, Luna, we’ll take care of three. These Minotaurs aren’t as powerful as the one we fought in those ruins, so you two kill one and then come help us."
"Understood?"
We nodded and drew our swords before sprinting toward the Minotaur.
I said to Luna,
"Hey, Luna, I’ll block its axe. You take the opening and strike it."
Luna nodded.
I went face-to-face with the Minotaur and augmented myself with mana.
I used Gravity to increase the force behind my sword and met the Minotaur’s battle axe head-on.
I felt the full brunt of its attack.
Luna took that opportunity and attacked its arm with her Ice Aura.
A clean cut appeared across its arm, but no blood came out.
The wound was already freezing over.
At that moment, the Minotaur was distracted, so I let its axe pass by me and launched my own attack.
I infused Space into my sword and slashed at the Minotaur, leaving a deep wound.
But its skin was too tough.
We continued attacking it from both sides, never giving it a chance to attack us properly.
Luna used Light Spears and Ice Spears against it, but they only managed to leave small injuries.
I used Darkness to bind the Minotaur.
Then we attacked it with everything we had.
But suddenly, the Minotaur roared.
It grabbed its battle axe and broke free from the bind.
Then it swung its weapon violently, smashing the floor and sending pieces of stone flying everywhere.
I moved to Luna’s side and took a few steps back, watching the Minotaur go berserk.
Luna looked at me and asked,
"So, what’s now? How are we going to finish it?"
A small chuckle escaped my mouth.
It was almost funny how easily we handled fights like this now.
I looked at her and said,
"How about you make it focus on you so I can use a powerful attack and kill it in one shot?"
Luna nodded.
"Okay. I’ll take care of it."
She went forward and attacked the Minotaur, drawing its attention.
But it was dangerous.
The Minotaur was now berserk, so its attacks were much more powerful than before.
I immediately focused and created an Abyss Bullet.
I tried to compress it, but it wouldn’t work.
So instead, I surrounded it with a thin layer of Aura, aimed it at the Minotaur, and fired.
Luna saw what I was doing and kept the Minotaur occupied.
My Abyss Bullet shot forward and pierced through the Minotaur’s head.
It died on the spot.
A clean hole appeared in its head as its massive body fell to the ground.
I went to Luna’s side and gave her a high five with a smile.
"Nice work. Are you tired?"
Luna looked at me.
"A little, but mostly I’m okay."
I brought out an orange juice and showed it to her like a magic trick before giving it to her.
Her eyes lit up, and she immediately grabbed it happily and began drinking.
I looked at her and smiled.
"Okay, then. I’m going to help the others. You stay here, drink that, and rest. After you’ve recovered enough mana and energy, come help us too."
Luna wanted to come with me immediately, but then she looked at her orange juice.
She knew she was low on mana and stamina, so she reluctantly nodded.
I saw that and smiled.
Then I took out a snack and gave it to her as well.
Luna nodded happily.
I laughed at that before using Void Step to go help the others.
When I arrived, I saw that one of the Minotaurs was already dead.
I took advantage of the other two looking toward Amy and the others and teleported behind one of them.
I stabbed Eclipse into its leg, making it fall.
Amy immediately took advantage of the opening and used her sword, covered in Lightning Aura, to sever the Minotaur’s head cleanly.
As for the last one, Elara had already injured it with her Water Blade, and water was spread all over the ground.
Amy shouted,
"Gray! Move out of the water!"
I immediately used Void Step to move away.
Amy then released her Lightning into the water.
The Lightning traveled through the water, and Elena took advantage of the situation to deliver the final blow and kill the Minotaur.
Finally, all the Minotaurs were dead.
We gathered together.
Amy looked at Luna, who was sitting to the side happily eating snacks and drinking orange juice.
She sighed.
Then she looked at me.
I looked at her and explained,
"After that battle, she was tired, so I gave her some orange juice and a snack bag so she could recover her stamina faster."
Amy looked at me with an accusing expression, as if she were saying,
Do you actually expect me to believe that, little brother?
Elena watched the comical scene from the side and laughed.
"Okay, okay. Let’s rest before the next round. We need to recover our stamina and mana."
Then she looked at Luna, who was happily munching on her snacks without a care in the world.
She walked over and grabbed the snack bag out of Luna’s hands.
Luna’s eyes widened.
Her eyes followed the snack bag as it moved toward Elena’s face.
Elena had a strange smile on her face.
Luna composed herself.
"Sister..."
Elena looked at Luna with amusement.
"Yes, little sister? Mind explaining what you were doing while we were fighting that Minotaur?"
Luna panicked.
She looked around before pointing a finger at me.
"It’s Gray! He’s the one who gave me all of these and told me to rest and not worry about the Minotaur!"
I looked at her, my eye twitching at how quickly she betrayed me.
The old saying is right. Women can’t be trusted.
I looked at Luna with an expression of disbelief.
She saw my expression, and an awkward look appeared on her face as she looked away.
My eye twitched even harder.
Elena noticed our little interaction, and a small smile appeared on her face.
She grabbed the snack bag and walked toward Amy.
Luna’s face fell as she tried to grab the snack bag back, but one look from Elena made her shrink back.
I looked at the scene with amusement and went over to Amy’s side.
I took out a large bottle of grape juice and a few cups and gave them to Amy.
Her eyes lit up.
She grabbed the bottle, and soon everyone was eating and drinking together.
I went to Luna’s side.
"Serves you right for the betrayal."
She put on an annoyed expression and hit me on the shoulder.
I laughed and brought out another bag of chips, giving it to her.
Her eyes lit up, and she immediately began eating them as well.
I looked at her.
"I used to call Amy the glutton, but now it seems you’re a better match for the title."
She glared at me.
"Try calling me that."
She gave me a threatening smile.
I found it comical and almost called her a glutton, but I barely managed to stop myself.
Then we waited for the next round.
I presumed this was the last round.
Otherwise, even we would face some difficulties in the next one.
We waited.
But nobody came for a while.
Then we heard a massive explosion.
A huge head appeared before us.
A massive wyvern.
It was black, with red vertical pupils staring directly at us.
It breathed fire into the sky, seemingly showing off its might.
Amy immediately commanded,
"All together! We have to take this thing down together. Don’t let it catch anyone alone. Always have each other’s backs and attack together. Understand?"
We all nodded.
Amy and Elena took the lead as usual.
We prepared ourselves for the incoming battle.
I clutched Eclipse tightly and watched the wyvern with narrowed eyes.
’A wyvern, huh? Interesting. Let’s see what you’ve got.’
