The Extinction Healer of the Beast Husbands
Chapter 69: Ch 69. Preparation for Lovemaking
Selena looked at the faces of her husbands, who had just answered. She let out a soft sigh, causing them to finally snap out of it and immediately clench their jaws.
"What we mean is... we’re willing to lighten your burden. If you can truly be healed that way, we’ll certainly do our best. Don’t get the wrong idea," said Vylen with a worried expression.
"That’s right, we don’t mean anything by it."
"Selena, your health is our top priority. Don’t jump to the conclusion that we want this just out of lust—we need you so much that we’ll do anything to help you get better."
"That’s right, we’re willing to do anything."
"Then what’s your goal after that?" Selena interrupted, her expression calm.
Her five husbands stared at her with confused expressions.
"What do you mean?"
"At the very least, you’ll be cured after making love to me twice. You won’t need to use any potions anymore, and you’ll automatically recover. Once you’re cured, I won’t be needed anymore. I’m asking what your goal is so I can prepare myself."
The five Beast Kings furrowed their brows, confused by what Selena was saying. Selena realized this, so she sighed and leaned back.
"None of you love me; this marriage was forced upon you to cure your illnesses. I won’t force myself to stay here and be your Queen if you don’t like me. So, you can think about it now and make a choice. Whoever wants to divorce me or decide to part ways with me, let me know after you’re fully recovered," Selena said, causing their eyes to widen in shock.
They were just beginning to understand what Selena was saying, and it came as a surprise. Why was Selena reconsidering this when they had already assured her yesterday?
"Or if you want it to go faster, we can have sex several times in one night—with each and every one of you. That still counts as valid, and you’ll still be healed. You can pay for my services with any wealth or valuables you have—that’s more than enough for me."
"There’s no need to torture yourselves for too long in this marriage, even though our marriage was bestowed by the Gods. Our bond may remain because divorce isn’t an option, but I won’t act as your queen or partner if you decide to divorce me. I’ll move on with my life, traveling throughout Eldoria to heal the beastkin who need me," Selena said at length, gazing at them as they stood frozen in silence.
The breakfast, which had started out warm and lively now that Selena was awake, ended in silence after she said what she had to say.
The five Beast Kings seemed deep in thought—or something like that; Selena wasn’t sure. But to be honest, she didn’t want to be the one cheated on again, just like in her past life.
Even Jack, who claimed to love her, had cheated on and betrayed her; Selena didn’t want anything like that to happen to her here. Especially since none of these husbands actually loved her—they’d married her solely because of the gods’ arrangements.
"Vee," Selena called, summoning her servant. "Help me to my room—I’m tired."
"Yes, Your Majesty." Vee approached and helped Selena walk, causing her five husbands to immediately stand up when they saw this.
"Let us do it. Selena, let me carry you," said Stevan as he took Selena from Vee.
The woman hadn’t had a chance to refuse because Stevan had already picked her up gently. Selena, who was exhausted and had little strength left, could only remain silent, resigning herself to being carried by the man and closing her eyes as her head began to ache.
None of her five husbands said a word after escorting her to the bedroom. Each of them did whatever made Selena feel comfortable, to the point that she couldn’t figure out what they were thinking.
"You can go ahead and finish whatever you need to do, because tonight I’ll start by choosing one of you to be the first husband to make love to me," Selena said, looking at them one by one.
Their faces tensed slightly at her words, but then they all nodded and walked away. Selena watched them until the door closed, then rubbed her face and lay down calmly.
Selena knew they were silent because they might have been offended by her words. But that was the truth—back then, they hadn’t loved the Selena whose body she was now inhabiting. It had only been about five days since she’d risen as the healer of extinction; it was too short a time for them to have already grown comfortable and not want her to leave them.
Selena certainly understood; she, too, was a human who had once been full of love and had been in relationships with several men before marrying Jack.
Being loved is essential in a marriage, because with love, a life spent together for many years won’t feel dull. But without love, no matter how long it lasts, a relationship like this will only end in pain.
"Your Majesty, I accidentally overheard what you said to the kings. Is that true? Did you offer them a divorce if they really wanted to part ways?" Vee asked cautiously, noticing that Selena was still awake and lost in thought.
"Yes, it’s true, and I’m serious. A healthy relationship is one filled with love and affection given sincerely. It would be a pity for them to stay with me. I only intend to give them the chance to marry the girls they love," Selena said with a smile.
Vee let out a heavy sigh. "But for a couple destined by the gods, it seems there really is no other choice but them, Your Majesty. Those kings looked lost in thought as they walked away; they must be confused about what to do after hearing what you said," Vee remarked, making Selena smile slightly.
"That confusion can go away in a day or a week. It’s much better for them so they can be happy and have a place to share their thoughts. They deserve to be loved by the woman they choose—they’re human beings who need that, too. So, it’s okay; this is for their own good," Selena replied, causing Vee to let out a heavy sigh.
If that’s the case, then there’s no other choice. Selena understands her life better and knows what’s best for her. Besides, Selena is also a queen; constantly arguing with her isn’t a good idea.
"Prepare some clothes for me; I might need them over the next few nights," Selena said, smiling at Vee, who had already nodded.
Her servant’s expression was no longer as cheerful as usual, causing Selena to sigh and take her hand before she could walk away.
"Your Majesty, do you need anything else?"
Selena smiled and shook her head gently. "I just wanted to say, if you want to continue serving the Queen, I can grant that as well. They’ll surely get married or find a new partner to be united with, after I have them divorced. Cheer up again—don’t make that sour face in front of me, Vee," she said seriously, causing Vee to shake her head quickly.
"Your Majesty, you’ve misunderstood... My face is sour again because I’m anxious and very worried about you. I am your servant; wherever you go, I must follow. I don’t want to serve any queen other than you," she said frantically.
Selena smiled softly. "All right, I thought you were objecting because if it turns out they all do divorce me, I’ll take you on a journey and we’ll go on an adventure. But if you don’t want to, I won’t make an issue of it. I can take you back to Dali Hawksen’s residence—that’s where I picked you up," Selena replied, making Vee smile.
"For now, I wish you all the best, Your Majesty. I hope you recover soon, so that whatever plans you make for the future, we can carry them out well," she said, making Selena smile.
She drifted off into her thoughts again after Vee left to prepare what she’d asked for. "It’s okay—it’s just sex, right? No big deal; I’m sure I can handle it," Selena said before slowly drifting off to sleep.

That night, with somewhat troubled expressions, her husbands were standing in her bedroom. Their expressions showed they couldn’t accept the words "divorce" or "separation" that Selena had mentioned. But what else could they do? This was the only way to heal Selena, so they had no choice but to go through with it all.
"Tonight I’ll choose one of you—or I’ll just tell you the schedule right away. I’ve already made my choice," Selena said, smiling as she pulled out a bowl.
Her husbands stared at the object, which turned out to contain pieces of paper.
"Think of this as a raffle—making love to me is the prize. Take one each and open it to see what’s inside. There’s a number on it, and whoever gets number 1 will make love to me tonight," Selena said, prompting them to finally step forward one by one.
After they’d all received their slips of paper, Selena smiled.
"Open them up—tell me right away who got number 1?"
The five men immediately and carefully unfolded the paper in their hands, while Selena watched them and noticed Stoner’s stunned expression at first.
"Oh, crap! I got number 1?!"
