Boom!

"Roar!"

"┗|`O′|┛Aow~~"

A large number of demons quickly caught the attention of the team led by Aiman, and the surrounding demons launched an attack on them.

They immediately faced tremendous pressure.

Without contact, there’s no understanding, and only after engaging did they realize how immense the pressure was.

These surging demons all had thick skin and flesh, and conventional magical attacks had little effect on them. They either needed to tank the damage to death or use control magic to hold them in place and then find their weaknesses.

Most people present were not mages who could rely on sheer force to kill the demons, and even if there were, they couldn’t kill so many.

Thus, with their rich experience, they worked together to control all the rushing demons and then searched for weaknesses in various ways, slowly defeating the demons.

However, when they finally managed to kill one, they looked up to see Hilia and Elina working together, already having killed four or five.

This speed disparity made them look at Hilia and Elina with growing admiration.

"Miss Xi truly deserves her reputation. She’s incredibly strong."

"Rumor has it that Miss Xi is another elf blessed by the gods. I wonder if it’s true."

"Maybe it is. Whew... We need to step up our game too!"

"..."

Everyone was inspired by Hilia and Elina, and their ability to kill enemies improved again.

Under Aiman’s guidance, they slowly moved closer to Hilia and Elina, then, after a concentrated attack on the demons, they entered the defensive line set by Hilia and Elina.

Aiman instructed the others to cooperate with Hilia and Elina to face the enemy, while he personally went to the front of Hilia and Elina.

"We meet again, Miss Xi and Miss Elina."

"Hello, Lord Aiman," Hilia nodded calmly.

Elina’s expression was complicated, "I didn’t expect we’d ultimately be discovered by you."

Aiman was baffled, "Miss Elina didn’t want us to find you... uh, alright, it seems like you’ve had a falling out with the Royal Court, but don’t worry, I won’t capture you."

As he spoke, he paused, glanced at the spell Elina was still casting while greeting, and shook his head slightly, "Besides, even if I wanted to capture you, I probably wouldn’t be able to defeat you both."

Hilia smiled slightly, "Lord Aiman jests. You are a Tier Five Mage, while the two of us are merely Tier Four Mages."

Aiman also chuckled, not taking Hilia’s words seriously.

He looked at the surging demons, and the huge monster in the rear, and after thinking for a moment, said, "Let’s help you deal with these demons first. Although I don’t know what you’re up to, let’s talk after the demons are dealt with."

"Thank you," Hilia nodded.

Aiman and others joined the fight, easing the pressure on Hilia and Elina considerably.

Though they couldn’t clear monsters as quickly as Hilia and Elina, they could withstand the pressure from the demons. They were, after all, mages of the same or even higher tier, and while their killing speed couldn’t match, their resilience against the demons was unmatched by the two of them.

Hilia looked at the people enduring the demon’s onslaught and couldn’t help but murmur to herself.

It was such a coincidence that these early acquaintances were not the Royal Court’s people.

"I have a feeling this is a result of the gods’ deliberate manipulation," she thought.

Hilia glanced stealthily at Rose standing beneath the giant monster.

She felt that encountering good people like this didn’t seem like a normal development, but rather a result of some interference.

She couldn’t help but think that it had been a long time since she encountered a ’bad person.’

Could this also be the influence of Lord Rose?

Whilst thinking about all sorts of things, Hilia, in the midst of fighting, asked Rose in her heart, "Lord Rose, how much longer?"

"Approximately two more hours," Rose’s voice responded.

"Okay."

The Elf Forest was much larger than the Golden Apple Stone Forest, so spending more time there was understandable to Hilia, but this time, it seemed like Rose was taking much longer.

She wondered what exactly he was up to. Hilia thought.

Time passed slowly.

Soon, an hour had gone by.

Hai Wei’er and the other Tier Four Mages retreated from the front line, falling back near Hilia and Elina.

All of them were not in good condition, with many signs of damage on their magic puppets and significant magic power depletion, not only because they couldn’t control magic as well as Hilia and Elina, but also because they needed more magic power to deal with the demons and withstand their onslaught.

Hai Wei’er looked at the pale-faced Elina and the somewhat exhausted Hilia. Leaning on her magic staff as a crutch, she kept panting.

"Sigh, I can’t do it anymore. I’ve only managed to hold out for an hour."

"You’ve worked hard, Miss Hai Wei’er. Please take a rest. My investigation is about to conclude," Hilia said.

Hai Wei’er curiously eyed Hilia’s magic puppet, which had not participated in the battle, wanting to ask something, but considering it wasn’t the right time, she refrained from speaking.

She nodded and, along with the others who had retreated, took a short rest behind Hilia and Elina.

Turning back, she looked at the gigantic monster, sensing the rapid heartbeat sounds emanating from its body, along with vibrations of vitality and chaotic pollution, stirring deep curiosity within her.

Vaguely, she slowly began to feel the surrounding sounds diminishing, as the ’heartbeat’ sound of the giant monster in front of her grew stronger, gradually taking over her entire mind.

Thud! Thud! Thud...

Hai Wei’er had a look of confusion appear in her eyes.

She slowly stood up and began to walk towards the monster behind.

At this moment, others were focused on the battle, ready to take over at any time, and because they only glanced at the giant monster before pulling back, they noticed nothing unusual. No one noticed when Hai Wei’er suddenly stood up and quietly walked towards the monster.

Hai Wei’er didn’t know what she was doing, only feeling like the entire world was filled with that bizarre ’heartbeat’ sound.

It seemed like the whole world.

The giant monster steadily spanned her vision, gradually blocking everything else from view.

She didn’t know what it was, but something strange caused her heartbeat to slowly synchronize with the entire ’world.’

Thump! Thump! Thump...

Her heartbeat began to speed up, gradually matching the heartbeat of the giant monster.

Slowly, she approached the giant monster.

She finally stood before the monster, staring blankly at the massive mound of flesh in front of her.

In a moment of daze, she reached out, wanting to touch the flesh-mountain monster.

At that moment, a mechanical hand extended from the side and grabbed her wrist.

The cold sensation jolted her senses, making her snap back to reality.

Looking up, she saw a magic puppet gripping her hand, its cold mechanical voice sounded.

"Don’t touch if you don’t want to die."
