The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2538: A new Master of Chaos? (II)

Chapter 2538: A new Master of Chaos? (II)

Cain’s eyes widened as he saw Deniel summon that single plasma wing.

They were strikingly similar to his own Chaos Wings—manifestations capable of drawing directly from the power of the Universe Matrix. That alone was shocking, but what came next shattered his expectations entirely.

"Chaos of Rage: Old God’s Roar!"

"A Chaos Art!?"

Cain’s shock deepened.

Before he could react, an ancient and demonic phantom head materialized around Deniel. The entity was grotesque beyond reason, its form distorted and unnatural, radiating a primal terror that seemed to come from the very origin of chaos itself.

Then it opened its jaws.

A roar erupted.

The sound was not merely loud—it was overwhelming, carrying a force that transcended the physical. It struck Cain head-on, halting his advance mid-dive and sending him spiraling backward into the sky. Blood burst from his mouth in thick streams as his internal organs trembled violently under the impact.

It took several seconds before Cain managed to stabilize himself.

Even then, the confusion raging within his mind and soul was immense.

"Chaos and Order Arts... those are Fourth Realm powers," Cain thought, his expression darkening. "Only my brother and I should be capable of using them..."

Then a memory surfaced.

"Wait... he could use them too."

His thoughts drifted briefly to the Ancient One—his greatest enemy in the Crimson World. That man had also been able to manifest wings and channel the power of the Universe Matrix.

"His power felt strange... incomplete. Like a flawed imitation," Cain analyzed. "But Deniel’s Chaos Art... this is real. It’s not weaker than mine."

Questions flooded his mind—but he had no time to pursue answers.

Deniel was already moving.

Like a metallic shooting star, he shot forward, tearing through space in his wake. He had fully cleansed himself of the Eternum Flames, and with the Chaos Wing empowering him, his strength had risen to an entirely new level.

Cain did not retreat.

His eyes sharpened as he surged forward once more.

In a heartbeat, the two clashed again.

Deniel’s fist shot forward with terrifying precision. But this time, Cain relied fully on his skill and mastery of the Flow, twisting his body just enough to evade the strike.

Then he countered.

His fist slammed into Deniel’s liver, infusing the blow with Quietus Force.

Deniel’s eyes narrowed as he felt the freezing energy invade his organ, threatening to shut it down completely. But he endured. Gritting his teeth, he retaliated instantly, driving his knee into Cain’s chest.

The Sacred Armor absorbed most of the impact—but not all.

The force still penetrated inward, shaking Cain’s internal organs and forcing him to spit out another mouthful of blood.

"His physical power is monstrous," Cain realized. "I can’t drag this into a battle of attrition... or I will lose."

His killing intent surged.

His Chaos Wings flared, intercepting the next incoming strike while simultaneously concealing his movements. In that instant of obscurity, Cain twisted around Deniel’s body and seized him from behind.

Deniel’s eyes widened.

Before he could react, Cain hurled both of them downward.

They plummeted toward the ground at increasing speed.

Deniel struggled fiercely, unleashing powerful strikes against Cain’s arms, but he couldn’t break free. Meanwhile, Cain continued accelerating, drawing upon the momentum of the Endless River of the Flow.

Their descent became unstoppable.

"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!"

The impact was catastrophic.

The ground shattered as the two crashed into it with apocalyptic force. The surrounding land was devastated, and even the Time River fractured under the pressure, its waters bursting outward in chaotic torrents.

Cain’s breathing grew ragged.

Every bone in his body trembled from the impact. Though he had released his grip at the last second and diverted part of the force, the collision still dealt him significant damage.

Even so...

A faint smile appeared on his bloodied face.

Deniel had taken the full brunt of that attack.

His condition had to be worse.

But before Cain could capitalize on the opportunity—

He felt it again.

The Universe Matrix stirred.

"Chaos of Rage: Hecatoncheire’s Barrage!"

The dust cleared.

Deniel stood within the crater, his body battered and bloodied—but far from defeated. Behind him rose a colossal entity.

It was massive beyond comprehension.

A monstrous being with one hundred arms and fifty heads.

Each head roared in unison, their voices shaking the heavens.

Then Deniel charged.

As he moved, so did the abomination.

Cain reacted instantly.

He clasped his hands together, pushing the power of the Flow to its limits as he summoned the Thirty-Three Petal Golden Lotus.

"BOOM!"

"BOOM!"

"BOOM!"

The barrage began.

Each strike from the Hecatoncheire landed with devastating force, exploding against the golden lotus and driving it deeper into the ground with every impact.

"DIE!" Deniel roared, his eyes burning with madness.

Reason had vanished from his expression.

Only rage remained.

Cain could sense the deterioration of Deniel’s mental state—but he could not exploit it. Every ounce of his focus was dedicated to surviving the relentless assault.

Thanks to his growth through countless near-death experiences, Cain’s mastery of the Flow had improved significantly. He could now align thirty of the thirty-three petals perfectly, granting him a defensive power that no ordinary Third Realm force could break.

Unfortunately—

This attack surpassed the Third Realm.

Cracks began to spread across the golden lotus.

More and more appeared with each passing moment.

It would not hold for long.

Cain’s eyes hardened.

He needed to end this—now.

Taking a deep breath, he raised his arm, shaping it like a blade. His Chaos Wings fused with the power of the Universe Matrix, channeling everything into a single point.

Deniel saw it.

For a brief instant, hesitation flickered in his eyes.

But the madness consuming him was too great.

He did not stop.

Cain gathered everything.

Every drop of power.

Every ounce of will.

"Chaos of Mythology..."

His voice resonated across the battlefield.

At that exact moment—

The golden lotus shattered.

The Hecatoncheire’s countless fists descended, ready to annihilate him.

But Cain was faster.

He brought his arm down.

"Excalibur!"
