Chapter 2537: A new Master of Chaos? (I)
Chapter 2537: A new Master of Chaos? (I)
Deniel’s eyes immediately narrowed as the full might of his cultivation erupted.
The sky itself began to tremble and compress, as if an invisible hand were crushing it from all directions. Space warped under the pressure, and the air grew heavy with suffocating force.
"Do you truly dare to defy the command of a Sacred Kingdom?"
Every word he spoke carried overwhelming killing intent, infused with immense power that shook the surroundings.
"I caught a glimpse of your strength from the memories of those who took part in the Nirvana Stronghold’s battle," Deniel continued coldly. "But defeating a Realm Ruler from one of the three weakest realms is something any Sword of the Nightmare Sacred Kingdom can accomplish."
Cain’s eyes sharpened.
He could feel it clearly now—Deniel’s aura was no weaker than that of the Eternal Soul King.
"Given his background," Cain thought, "he must have access to far greater treasures and cultivation techniques... perhaps even ones touching the Fourth Realm."
Numerous possibilities flashed through his mind.
Truthfully, entering a Sacred Kingdom could be a tremendous opportunity. If he managed to preserve both his life and his freedom, the benefits could be unimaginable. The knowledge, resources, and power contained within such a force were beyond anything found in the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe or even the Crimson World.
But there was a cost.
The deeper he ventured into Paradise, the harder it would become to return to the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.
Cain fell silent for a brief moment.
Then, after weighing everything, he made his decision.
As he gazed at Deniel, he released a slow breath.
"I am willing to comply," Cain said calmly. "But there is something I must finish first. Give me three months, and I will go to the Sacred Kingdom myself."
It was a reasonable compromise—more than reasonable, in fact. Under normal circumstances, such an answer would have been accepted.
Of course, Cain had no intention of honoring that promise.
Within two months, he expected to gain the power necessary to return to the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe. Once he crossed back, even the Nightmare Sacred Kingdom would have no easy way of reaching him.
Unfortunately for Cain, the expression on Deniel’s face made one thing clear.
There would be no compromise.
"I already told you," Deniel said, his voice turning colder. "You have ten minutes to settle your affairs."
His third eye pulsed with a crimson glow.
"I do not care about your unfinished business. You will come with me and meet His Highness—the Nightmare Sacred King of Chaos and Order."
Cain stared at him silently.
Through the Flow, he could perceive Deniel’s true emotions and intentions. There was disdain—deep and unhidden—not only toward him, but toward all beings from the lower realms. And beneath that scorn lay something even more certain:
Deniel would not negotiate.
If Cain refused, he would attack... and drag him back by force.
"If a battle is inevitable," Cain thought, "then I might as well strike first."
Golden flames burst to life around his body.
In the next instant—
He vanished.
Deniel’s eyes widened slightly.
He had anticipated resistance, defiance, perhaps even desperation—but not this. The idea that the Scarlet King would initiate the attack was almost inconceivable. No sane individual would willingly provoke a Sacred Kingdom.
But Cain was not concerned with sanity.
He appeared directly in front of Deniel.
The Sacred Armor had already manifested, covering his body in radiant brilliance. His heart beat like a supernova, each pulse unleashing waves of power. From his back, wings of scarlet plasma erupted, crackling with destructive force.
Deniel reacted instantly.
A golden armor materialized around him as he raised his arm just in time to block.
Then—
"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!"
The impact shattered the sky.
White flames exploded outward as Deniel was sent crashing downward like a falling meteor, his body engulfed in destructive force as he slammed into the ground far below.
"ARGHH!"
A thunderous roar erupted from the crater.
Deniel’s Ancestor Power surged violently, causing his body to expand—growing larger, denser, more resilient. His flesh hardened against cosmic forces, while his willpower shattered the invasive Quietus Force attempting to corrupt his mind and soul.
Without wasting a single moment, he counterattacked.
His right fist clenched, gathering a dark, metallic energy that radiated sharpness and destruction. The power was so intense it seemed capable of slicing through space itself.
Then he struck.
The punch was flawless.
Perfect angle. Perfect timing. Space itself compressed around it, leaving no room for escape.
Cain’s eyes widened.
Even with the Flow, he could not fully evade such a refined and overwhelming attack.
Fortunately—
He didn’t need to.
Instead of retreating, Cain moved forward.
At the very last moment, he intercepted the strike using only his index and middle fingers.
The impact... never came.
All the immense power behind the punch vanished instantly, as if it had been swallowed by an invisible abyss.
Shock flashed across Deniel’s face.
But what followed was even more terrifying.
The absorbed energy was redirected.
Cain’s draconic gauntlet unfolded, transforming into a massive cannon that hummed with condensed force.
Then it fired.
"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!"
The blast struck Deniel point-blank, unleashing devastating energy that tore across the land and carved a massive canyon stretching for kilometers.
The attack was powerful enough to cripple even a Peak Alpha Omega Overgod.
But Deniel was not ordinary.
Though heavily impacted, his armor absorbed much of the damage, and his body endured the rest.
Cain did not hesitate.
The moment the blast ended, he surged forward again, his aura intensifying as he descended into the crater.
His eyes locked onto Deniel’s figure.
The Royal Blutlinie warrior was still there—struggling to expel the lingering white flames clinging to his body.
A perfect opportunity.
Cain’s killing intent exploded.
If he struck now, he could end the battle instantly.
Drawing upon the momentum of the Endless River of the Flow, he accelerated, channeling all his power into his gauntlet. Energy condensed violently, ready to shatter every bone in Deniel’s body.
Victory was within reach.
But just as Cain closed in—
Deniel’s eyes snapped open.
They burned with a terrifying crimson light.
From his back, a single wing of blazing red plasma unfurled, radiating an ancient and overwhelming power.
And in that instant—
The Universe Matrix was triggered.
