The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2472: Returning to the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe (II)

Chapter 2472: Returning to the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe (II)

The woman’s sudden appearance was a mystery to both sides.

No one knew who she was, where she had come from, or how such a powerful existence had manifested in the middle of the battlefield without warning. For a brief moment, confusion flashed across her eyes, as if her journey into this universe had been anything but smooth.

But that uncertainty lasted only an instant.

Focus and sharpness quickly replaced it. Her golden gaze swept across the battlefield, taking in the endless destruction, the armies clashing in the void, and the overwhelming presence of power on both sides.

Then her eyes locked onto two figures.

Anark.

Robuke.

"Redemption Incarnation."

The moment those words left her lips, her power exploded.

Majestic wings burst from her back, radiant and terrifying at the same time. Each of them carried the essence of one of the Seven Deadly Sins—wrath, pride, envy, greed, lust, gluttony, and sloth—woven together into a strange and overwhelming harmony.

Then her eyes ignited with golden light.

A power that both armies recognized instantly.

"The Flow!"

That ability belonged to the Scarlet King. It had been one of his core weapons and, together with the Power of Chaos, the reason he had been regarded as the strongest life form in the universe before his departure.

Hope surged through the hearts of the warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance.

If this woman wielded the Flow, then she had to be connected to the Scarlet King.

The Champions and High Lords of the Root reached the same conclusion.

But what rose within them was not hope.

It was killing intent.

And nowhere was that murderous fury stronger than in the heart of the Monster of the Root.

In most situations, Robuke’s rage was an advantage. It amplified his strength and drove his already ferocious combat style to even greater heights.

But for all his battle experience, this was the first time he had faced a True Depravita.

Otherwise, he would have known just how dangerous it was to let negative emotions run wild in his heart.

He was about to learn.

"ZNNNN!"

The sound of flesh tearing echoed across the void.

Meylin appeared directly behind Robuke, moving faster than the eye could perceive. A sword forged from psychic power and her own life force drove into the Monster of the Root’s back, piercing through layers of muscle and bone as it thrust toward his heart.

For the first time in a long time, dread flashed across Robuke’s eyes.

The blade burned with a strange power—one that consumed, enhanced, and destroyed all at once. At the same time, an overwhelming psychic force crashed into his mind and soul, amplifying every negative emotion within him and turning it into a weapon against his own will.

"ARGHHHH!"

Robuke roared like a wounded beast.

Every muscle in his body tightened. Flesh, tendons, and even bone compressed around the wound, slowing the advance of the blade just enough to keep it from reaching his heart.

At the same time, he twisted his body at an impossible angle and swung his massive war axe toward the winged woman.

Meylin’s eyes narrowed as she felt the terrifying endurance of the Monster of the Root. Realizing she could not finish him with that strike, she immediately withdrew and raised her sword in a defensive stance.

A black lotus with seven petals bloomed around her, each petal radiating the power of a deadly sin.

The axe shattered them all.

Even so, the barriers drained much of its momentum. The remaining force struck the True Depravita and sent her flying through the void—but she regained control almost instantly, stopping herself gracefully and hovering in place as if the blow had only slowed her.

Robuke’s eyes burned with killing intent.

Being ambushed and nearly killed in the opening exchange filled him with a deep sense of humiliation. He wanted nothing more than to tear the woman apart.

"Do you really think you have time to daydream?"

Robuke’s eyes widened.

Those were the exact words he had spoken to Anark earlier, full of mockery.

Now they were being returned.

The True Primordial of the Void appeared in front of him like a violet comet. His fist smashed into Robuke’s face with overwhelming force, cracking bone and sending the massive abomination tumbling across the battlefield.

Anark moved to continue the assault—but he stopped.

There was something more important that required his attention.

He turned toward the winged woman, his three violet eyes filled with scrutiny and curiosity.

The woman took a steady breath. Then she looked at Anark—and beyond him, at the warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance.

"I am Meylin Laurifer," she said, her voice clear and steady. "Wife of the Scarlet King, Cain Laurifer. I have come from the Crimson World to fight by your side."

Shock rippled through the Alliance.

But among the highest ranks of the Scarlet Kingdom—and among leaders like Anark—a meaningful light appeared. They knew of Cain’s journey beyond their universe.

Still, countless questions rose in their minds.

But none of them were asked.

"Enough words," Anark’s voice thundered across the void. "Let’s fight!"

No grand speech. No dramatic declaration.

Just a command.

That was his leadership—direct, decisive, and absolute. His words cut through doubt and hesitation, leaving only clarity of purpose.

Meylin nodded firmly and moved to stand beside him. Her aura continued to rise, steady and unwavering, as she prepared to risk her life without hesitation.

That was the conviction required to face the horror of the Root.

Across from them, Robuke’s shattered skull reformed as he rose slowly.

Rage still burned within him—but this time, he forced it down. The abomination would not fall for the same weakness again.

His voice was colder than the abyss.

"KILL!"

The hordes of the Root roared and surged forward once more, the carnage reigniting across the battlefield.

"FIGHT!"

Anark’s answering roar echoed through the void.

But now, his voice was no longer that of a commander facing inevitable defeat.

It was the voice of a warrior who could finally see a glimmer of light at the end of the darkness.
