The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2471: Returning to the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe (I)

Chapter 2471: Returning to the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe (I)

Anark regained control of his body almost instantly.

The power of the Samsara Immortal Body surged through him, and the wounds along his arm closed at once, flesh restoring itself under the influence of the Samsara Runic Set. Yet despite its miraculous regenerative ability, the runic set could do nothing for the injury in his chest.

That wound remained.

It burned with a lingering force that resisted healing, constantly draining his strength and disrupting the flow of his power. It was the very injury that made it impossible for the True Primordial of the Void to overcome the Monster of the Root.

Rage and frustration surged in Anark’s heart as he lifted his gaze toward the battlefield.

The Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance had grown tremendously over the past few years. New Alpha–Omega Overgods had risen. Runic War Avatars had been perfected and deployed in large numbers. Their coordination, discipline, and overall strength had reached heights unimaginable in the past.

And yet... it was still not enough.

The forces of the Root were overwhelming.

Anark clenched his fists as his thoughts drifted back to the moment everything had changed—the moment the Universe Will fell silent.

Even now, he did not understand how it had happened. Somehow, the masters of the World of the Root had forced the Universe Will into a dormant state, plunging it into something akin to a coma. With that single act, one of the greatest advantages of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe had been stripped away.

Without the Universe Will, nothing suppressed the power of beings like Robuke or the other high-level entities of the Root as they moved through the void.

And worse still, the warriors of the Six Sacred Races no longer received Origin Power when they slew enemies. The fallen bodies of the invaders simply drifted through space, useless and inert.

The rules of war had changed overnight.

The shift had been so sudden and so complete that Anark and the other leaders were caught entirely off guard. When the Monster of the Root and the Warlock of the Root launched their assault into the void, the Alliance had been utterly unprepared.

The result had been catastrophic.

An Empyrean World had fallen!

The Root had not escaped unscathed—Anark had managed to land a crippling blow on the Warlock—but she had struck him in return, leaving the very wound now burning in his chest. Even the Samsara Immortal Body could not erase it.

And now, only a few years after that disaster, the Root had begun its next advance.

This time, their target was the Everstrife Empyrean World.

The home of the Scarlet Kingdom.

The land of the spiritual leader of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe—

the Scarlet King.

Even after years of absence, the faith and devotion toward the Scarlet King had never faded. Not only among the warriors of the Scarlet Kingdom, but across the entire Alliance.

It was through the Scarlet Stars and the Scarlet Throne that the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance had found the strength to resist the horrors of the Root. Without that legacy, they would have collapsed long ago.

That was why they were fighting with everything they had.

They could not allow his home to fall.

And yet, despite their determination... they were losing.

"Hahaha! Do you really think you have time to daydream?"

Robuke’s mocking voice echoed through the void as he charged forward. His massive axe cleaved through space itself as he swung for the killing blow.

Anark roared.

Violet power erupted from his body like a supernova, and he shot forward like a blazing star.

He was not foolish. He knew he could not win—not in his current condition.

But if he was going to fall... he would do so after burning every last fragment of his life and soul.

His three violet eyes blazed with absolute resolve.

"It will kill me... but I will take the Monster of the Root with me.

If I can do that, someone else will rise. Someone strong enough to end this nightmare."

With death accepted, his aura sharpened. His power grew purer, more condensed, more absolute.

This exchange would be his last.

But just as fist and axe were about to collide—

The void trembled.

Not just the battlefield.

The entire universe shook.

The change was so sudden and so overwhelming that the fighting across the void halted for a brief moment. Warriors from both sides froze, instinctively looking around, trying to understand what was happening.

Anark and Robuke were no exception.

Confusion appeared in their eyes.

Then it turned to shock.

An unimaginably powerful Primordial Essence had suddenly manifested within the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.

It was vast—so vast it seemed to stretch beyond the horizon of perception itself. For a brief instant, it felt as though something greater than worlds had descended.

Then, abruptly, the enormous presence compressed.

It shrank... and shrank... until it became a small golden sphere.

The sphere began to rotate.

Faster and faster.

Space-time twisted around it, bending under the force of its motion.

But that was only the beginning.

A terrifying devouring force emerged from the sphere.

It did not absorb energy.

It did not consume blood.

Instead, it began to draw in emotions.

All the hatred, despair, fear, rage, grief, and madness flooding the battlefield were pulled toward it. And given the scale of the carnage taking place, the amount of negative emotion present was immense.

Everyone watched as waves of darkness streamed into the golden sphere, growing denser and heavier with each passing second. The concentration reached levels that shocked even Alpha–Omega Overgods.

It was like witnessing the birth of a monstrous fiend—an existence formed from the darkest emotions imaginable.

And yet...

The aura that emerged was not chaotic madness.

It was controlled.

Dominant.

A power that stood above the darkness rather than being consumed by it.

Before either side could react, the gathered psychic force reached a critical point.

Then it exploded.

A silent detonation rippled across the void, releasing waves of power in all directions. Space shuddered as the energy spread outward, forcing warriors on both sides to stabilize themselves.

When the light finally faded, a figure stood at the center of the blast.

A young woman.

She was breathtakingly beautiful.

Her dark hair flowed like a night sky filled with distant stars, and her golden eyes shone with pride, calmness, and absolute authority.
