Chapter 2441: The fall of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe
Chapter 2441: The fall of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe
Book 26 - Breaking the shell. Taking the fourth step
---
A stoic and imposing man stood in the void, his towering figure radiating immense power. Waves of violet plasma flowed across his body like living lightning as he gazed into the vast expanse before him.
From his vantage point, the universe
lay fully exposed.
Closest to his focus were the two Traitor Empyrean Worlds—those of Markin and Kaizer. Countless formations shimmered across their surfaces, each one pulsing with destructive force. Their power was so overwhelming that even weak Alpha–Omega Overgods would have their bodies and souls torn apart upon approach.
Beyond them stood the World of the Root, surrounded by its terrifying Wall of Fire and Flesh—a living barrier that devoured anything that dared draw near.
And finally, farther still, were the six Empyrean Worlds that formed the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance, united under the will of the universe itself.
Anark clenched his fists as his gaze burned with fury.
His attention lingered on the traitorous and corrupted worlds. Every instinct within him urged him to charge forward and destroy them—to erase their existence with overwhelming force.
But he did not move.
He could no longer fight as a lone warrior.
The fate of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance rested on his shoulders.
After the disappearance of the Scarlet King, it was Anark who had assumed the role of Warmaster.
The Primordial of the Void had devoted himself entirely to strengthening the alliance. He trained its warriors relentlessly, guiding them to uncover deeper truths of power and the fundamental laws of the universe. Under his guidance, countless experts had surpassed their limits.
And still, he pushed them further.
He himself led by example.
Again and again, Anark shattered his own boundaries. Again and again, he rebuilt himself stronger. Now, the Eight Stars of Origin had already formed around his forehead—a sign of power that few beings in existence could even comprehend.
Yet despite all of this strength, Anark felt restrained.
Power alone was not enough.
He lacked the infiltration abilities needed to penetrate the Traitor Empyrean Worlds safely. Charging blindly into them would be suicide. The Tenth Empyrean World had already managed to outmaneuver and trap the Scarlet King once. Anark was not arrogant enough to believe he could not fall into a similar scheme.
As for the World of the Root, the situation was even more frustrating.
Anark had grown powerful enough to break through the Wall of Fire and Flesh by force. However, unlike Cain, he lacked the ability to create a stable passage through which an army could follow.
Entering alone would mean certain death.
Once again, his hands were tied.
"What use is the power to shatter worlds," he murmured bitterly, "if I cannot use it when it matters?"
The True Primordial of the Void let out a quiet sigh.
But suddenly, his expression changed.
A sharp light appeared in his eyes as he sensed a strange disturbance coming from the World of the Root.
Before he could fully comprehend what was happening, an orange wave of energy burst outward from the corrupted world. It expanded at an incomprehensible speed, spreading through the void as if space and time offered no resistance at all.
Anark’s eyes widened.
The wave reached him in an instant.
His power surged instinctively, preparing for an attack—
But nothing happened.
The orange energy passed through him harmlessly. There was no damage, no corruption, no visible change. He immediately turned his senses toward the surrounding Empyrean Worlds.
They were untouched as well.
"What... is going on?"
The words had barely left his lips when he felt it.
The universe trembled.
For a brief moment, existence itself seemed to shudder—then everything fell silent.
Anark’s heart sank.
The universe felt different.
Quieter.
Dimmer.
As if something fundamental had gone missing.
The next instant, horror filled his eyes.
"They didn’t just..."
Before he could finish the thought, the answer appeared.
From the World of the Root, billions upon billions of monstrous figures surged outward. They passed through the Wall of Fire and Flesh without resistance and spread into the void like a living tide.
At their forefront stood Robuke.
A wide, grotesque smile spread across the abomination’s face as he sensed the silence of the universe around him.
There was no suppression.
No force limiting their power.
No tribulation striking their bodies.
No universal network dissolving their forms and converting them into energy for the warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns.
There was only silence.
The smile on Robuke’s face widened further.
He turned toward the nearest Empyrean World.
Then he advanced.
Behind him, the endless army followed.
"Damn it!"
Anark roared, his aura exploding outward as he released his voice with all his strength.
The sound spread across the void, reaching every warrior of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance.
"Prepare for battle!"
---
As a catastrophic war was about to erupt within the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, far beyond the battlefield, beyond the universe itself, stood a man.
His aura was so vast that it concealed his entire body. Only a pair of glowing red eyes could be seen within the storm of power—and within those eyes burned surprise and excitement.
"Hahahahaha!"
A sound emerged from his throat—a sound he had not released in a very long time.
Laughter.
It echoed across the void, reaching the Tenth Empyrean World and spreading to the surrounding realms that orbited it.
The entire domain seemed to resonate with his joy.
It did not take long for several powerful and imposing beings to appear beside him. Each of them carried overwhelming auras, yet all looked at their leader with confusion.
Until recently, he had been in a terrible mood following the death of his teacher.
Now, he was laughing.
"Lord Adam?" one of them asked cautiously.
The laughter slowly faded, revealing a radiant smile on Adam’s face.
"Those insects of the Root," he said, amusement evident in his voice. "I thought they would only serve as a minor distraction after their previous failure. But it seems they had a far more interesting tool hidden away."
The surrounding powerhouses leaned forward, their attention fully captured.
Adam’s eyes gleamed.
"They have put the Will of the Nine Empyrean Suns to sleep."
Silence fell.
Then shock spread across their faces.
Their hearts trembled as they grasped the implications.
"If the Will of the universe is sleep, then we can..." One of the Lord of the Tenth Empyrean World spoke with pure thrill and joviality.
Adam’s smile widened as he nodded at them.
"It is time," he said softly, his voice filled with anticipation,
"to return home."
