The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2435: Sacred Vault of the Aztorus Kingdom

Chapter 2435: Sacred Vault of the Aztorus Kingdom

Cain made the Blade of the End of Time melt into his arm.

Among the Royal Blutlinie, it was common to fuse weapons with their bodies, binding them directly to their life force. Once integrated, the sword could be nurtured by the Ancestor Drop, allowing it to grow alongside its master.

However, such fusion was only possible if the wielder possessed complete control and absolute ownership over the weapon. Otherwise, if the bond were ever broken, the backlash could be catastrophic.

Now that the process was complete, Cain adopted a meditative posture within the Ocean of the Blood Sun and began evaluating his current strength.

"The core of my power right now is my Ancestor Ability—Null Eternum," he thought.

Through it, he could manifest the Eternum Flame, the white fire that greatly enhanced his killing power while also granting extraordinary defensive capabilities. However, those effects were merely the natural manifestation of the ability.

"What I need now is to develop my Ancestor Arts."

Ancestor Powers themselves could not be altered. Their nature was absolute. But they could be trained, refined, and expanded, giving rise to unique techniques that dramatically increased their effectiveness.

Cain already had several ideas for how the white flames could evolve—methods to expand their range, deepen their control over causality, and perhaps even shape the Quietus Power into more specialized forms. But those ideas would require time and careful experimentation.

For now, he turned his attention to the other aspects of his strength.

"My Power of Chaos has weakened since I arrived in Paradise."

At present, he could use it to create channels that directed the vitality and energy of the Blood Ocean into targets, and he could influence the minds of others to a limited degree. However, he was unable to summon the Chaos Wings or unleash Chaos at its full capacity.

Although disappointing, Cain understood the reason.

The Power of Chaos required connection—connection to the world, to its laws, and to the living beings within it. But he was a foreign existence in Paradise, an outsider who had yet to fully integrate with its nature or its Omens.

Fortunately, this weakness was temporary.

Now that he had regained a humanoid body, it would be far easier to attune himself to the lifeforms of Paradise and resonate with its fundamental forces. With training, the Chaos Wings would manifest again.

"It’s only a matter of time."

Next, Cain examined another pillar of his strength.

"The Flow has grown immensely."

His domain over it had expanded significantly, allowing him to perform techniques that would have caused severe backlash in the past. His connection to the universal current was deeper and more stable than ever.

Even so, he sensed untapped potential.

"I still haven’t fully explored what I’m capable of. I need to push this further."

After finishing his assessment of the Flow, Cain shifted his focus to another innate ability carried over from his previous life.

"Asura Form."

The moment he concentrated, his perception turned inward, focusing on his heart.

It beat at a terrifying pace—hundreds of times each second.

During the creation of his current body, Cain had modified his heart so that it existed in a constant state of Asura activation. Rather than an active transformation, the ability had become passive. In battle, its intensity would rise automatically, pushing his body toward its absolute limits.

Cain was highly satisfied with the result. The speed, responsiveness, and explosive power of his physical form were extraordinary.

Finally, his attention moved to the last of his innate abilities.

"The Scarlet Throne."

A solemn expression appeared on his face.

Unlike the Flow or Asura Form—whose principles he had deciphered and successfully replicated—the Scarlet Throne remained beyond his understanding.

The ability had originally manifested when his Ego Eternal Path reached the Third Realm and his True Name ascended to Prima Deity Rank. It was fundamentally different from his other abilities, rooted in deeper laws of existence that he had yet to comprehend.

More importantly, it had not awakened in this body.

Cain frowned as he searched his mind for any method to trigger it, but found nothing. The absence was frustrating.

He needed faster cultivation. And the Scarlet Throne had been designed precisely for that purpose.

In the end, the Scarlet King shook his head.

"It seems I won’t be lucky this time."

After a moment, he exhaled and relaxed his expression.

"I’ll have to work with the tools I have."

Closing his eyes, Cain entered deep meditation. The power of Null Eternum flowed quietly through his body as he stabilized his cultivation and consolidated his recent gains.

Nearby, the Royal Guards stood watch.

They were still recovering from the previous battle, but their condition improved rapidly thanks to the immense vitality they had absorbed from the remains of Eonar and Lortar.

After a full day passed, Cain opened his eyes.

A wide smile spread across his face.

He rose into the sky, focused on the distant horizon, and then flashed forward at a speed that distorted the air itself.

Thanks to his overwhelming velocity, it did not take long for the Scarlet King to arrive above the capital of the Aztorus Kingdom.

The city was colossal—larger than the City of Kalous—large enough to house billions of Bloodline beings. From above, Cain observed its streets and arenas, where life continued as usual.

The Blutlinie inhabitants slaughtered one another openly, consuming flesh and blood to strengthen their lineage.

"It seems they haven’t learned about the death of the Aztorus King and the Royal Family yet."

Cain did not waste time.

He descended instantly, flashing into the massive castle at the city’s core. Thanks to the memories he had extracted from Eonar, navigating the structure was effortless.

Within moments, he reached the lowest level of the fortress.

Darkness filled the vast underground chamber.

At its center stood the Sacred Vault of the Aztorus Kingdom.

Cain’s eyes gleamed as he looked at the enormous sky-blue gate before him. It was so massive that an entire mountain could have passed through its opening.

A satisfied smile appeared on his face.

But just as he took a step forward—

Two sets of eyes opened within the darkness.
