The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2434: Dominating the Blade of the End of Times

Chapter 2434: Dominating the Blade of the End of Times

Of course, Cain would not march directly into the Dark Blood Realm.

He was powerful—extraordinarily so—but he was not delusional.

The only reason he had managed to defeat the Kings of the Aztorus and Kalous Kingdoms was because he had carefully engineered the conditions of their battle.

The duo had been grievously wounded and severely exhausted before their confrontation even began, and the boundless vitality of the Ocean of the Blood Sun had surged through Cain’s veins throughout the fight.

Had the Scarlet King faced Eonar and Lortar at their peak, the outcome would have been very different.

"At most, I could have defeated one of them, and that was with me putting my life on the line," Cain assessed calmly. "But both together would have overwhelmed me."

Without the Ocean of the Blood Sun supporting him, Cain estimated his raw strength to be near the limit of a Late-Stage Alpha–Omega Overgod. And given that his cultivation had only reached the Early Stage, that was an astonishing feat of power and talent, which resulted from his incredibly hard work in forging a Flawless Ancestor Drop.

Cain allowed himself a faint smile.

"I’m satisfied with the talent and potential of this third body," he murmured. "And the best part... is that I can grow very fast."

The smile on his lips turned cold.

Without hesitation, Cain plunged his hands into the chests of Lortar and Eonar, extracting their still-beating hearts. Flames infused with the Power of Chaos and the Flow ignited around his hands, engulfing the organs and burning away everything except the Ancestor Drops belonging to the kings.

The lifeforms of Paradise had been designed, from the moment of their creation, by the laws and rules of this universe, to devour one another in order to grow stronger. Nowhere was this more evident than among the Blutlinie Race, who could consume their own kind to purify and strengthen their lineage.

Cain’s Royal Blutlinie Body elevated this principle to an entirely different level.

Thanks to the method by which his body and Flawless Ancestor Drop had been forged, Cain could extract Ancestor Drops from others and fuse them into his own—dramatically accelerating his cultivation speed. Of course, purification was mandatory. Absorbing tainted Drops would risk corrupting his Flawless foundation.

As Cain refined the two Drops, the fragment of his consciousness that remained connected to the Ocean of the Blood Sun issued a silent command.

In response, the crimson ocean surged.

The bodies of the fallen kings shattered, dissolving into torrents of energy and vitality that were absorbed by the Ocean of the Blood Sun and redistributed to the Royal Guards. Their wounds closed, their auras deepened, and their life force surged to new heights.

Cain was no longer bound to the Ocean of the Blood Sun.

But he had no intention of abandoning it—or the Royal Guards.

They had proven their loyalty and strength over the past years, and their potential was immense. With proper nurturing, they would become invaluable allies in the trials to come.

Soon, the Ocean of the Blood Sun held only Cain, the Royal Guards... and one final presence.

The Blade of the End of Times.

The Quietus Power still flowed through the weapon, sealing it completely. Without that suppression, Cain had no doubt the sword would have fled the instant it sensed freedom. The eye embedded in its hilt twitched endlessly, struggling to escape—but time could never overcome stillness.

Quietus stood above time itself.

Cain absorbed the purified Ancestor Drops, drawing in a deep breath as power surged through his body. His wounds healed rapidly, flesh knitting together as he returned to his peak condition.

Only then did the Scarlet King turn his attention fully to the Blade of the End of Times.

Although he had not been able to extract all of Eonar’s memories, Cain had learned the sword’s origin.

It was an heirloom.

A relic brought up from the lower realms by the bastard son of the First Aztorus King. That son had used the blade to murder his father and ascend as the Second Aztorus King.

The sword was terrifyingly powerful. The Omen of Time embedded within it had reached an extraordinary level, surpassing even Eonar’s own domain. However, its strength came at a terrible cost.

The weapon was alive.

And the soul within it was monstrous—constantly seeking to devour the body and soul of its wielder.

Unfortunately, destroying or sealing that soul would halve the sword’s power.

Cain exhaled slowly and extended his right hand, grasping the blade.

Instantly, the eye in the hilt flared open.

A sharp light crossed Cain’s gaze as he felt the sword attempt to invade his mind. But instead of resistance, Cain allowed the connection to form.

His expression shifted—from focus to faint amusement.

Before the sword could react, Cain’s eyes blazed with golden light as his soul pierced into the Flow—the endless current that connected all reality.

Unlike his confrontation with the Crow Prince of the Kalous Kingdom, Cain did not intend to destroy this soul. He anchored himself firmly to reality while forcing the sword’s soul to witness the true vastness of the Flow.

Reality vanished.

All that remained was an endless sea of golden currents—expansive, serene, and overwhelming. A sight capable of inducing perfect peace... or complete erasure of individuality.

Terror flooded the eye in the sword’s hilt.

It attempted to sever the connection.

Cain did not allow it.

His intention was simple: to erode every trace of darkness and malice within the sword’s soul.

Naturally, this process would erase everything else as well—memories, instincts, even identity.

The Scarlet King found that acceptable.

Days passed.

At last, the soul within the blade was cleansed.

No instinct.

No memory.

No will.

A blank existence.

Cain smiled. The sword could regain all that it lost, but it would do it under his supervision.

He bonded with the now-purified soul, and in response, a torrent of white Eternum Flames erupted from the Blade of the End of Times.
