The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2288: Cain vs Urin

Chapter 2288: Cain vs Urin

Meylin glanced at the black box with a pensive expression. Even without peering inside, she could feel the clash unfolding within—two existences whose very presence distorted reality.

Cain was powerful, far beyond what most beings in the Second Realm could comprehend, yet Zarazel was no weakling. As a True Depravita of Fear who had already reached the Alpha–Omega Overgod Rank, Zarazel possessed Redemption Incarnation, granting him access to the Power of Fear.

That was a cosmic power that allowed him to crippled ArchDeities with a single touch. That alone made him a terrifying opponent, one capable of standing at the peak of the Crimson World’s hierarchy.

Given all that, it would not be easy to determine a winner, and the battle could last for hours, maybe even days. Or at least that was what Meylin thought.

Less than ten seconds passed.

Then Meylin’s eyes flared with brilliant scarlet light.

She felt it—an overwhelming pull as Cain’s power resonated outward, linking her existence to the sealed battlefield. Her strength flowed freely into the box, not forcibly drawn, but harmonized, as though the Power of Chaos itself had woven their beings together.

She was not alone in this connection. Across the Second Realm, countless figures shuddered as they felt the same call. Trillions of lives within Cain’s Divine Kingdom trembled, their faith and devotion becoming fuel, their very existence reinforcing his will.

Then it happened.

"BOOOOOOOOOOM!"

A thunderous explosion detonated inside the box, so overwhelming that the sealed construct trembled violently. Cracks spread across its surface like fractures in glass, each one pulsing with destructive force. Meylin’s breath caught. The strength required to shake that box was far beyond what an ordinary Early Alpha–Omega Overgod could unleash.

A heartbeat later, the box dissolved.

Zarazel emerged first.

The True Depravita of Fear stood rigid, his eyes wide with undisguised shock. His aura flickered—still vast, still terrifying, yet unmistakably shaken. Cain appeared beside him in the next instant, his presence calm and absolute. Scarlet light burned within his eyes, radiant and steady, like twin suns embodying a power that could transcend universal barriers.

Cain said nothing.

He simply stepped beside Meylin and turned his gaze toward Zarazel.

For several seconds, silence reigned.

Then the True Depravita of Fear exhaled deeply and performed a solemn nod, his expression grave but resolute. "I will have the army ready in seven days."

"Perfect," Cain replied, returning the nod.

Without another word, Cain lowered himself into a meditative posture on the spot, his aura folding inward as he began to cultivate. Urin was no Bradly. Her Neo-Angel abilities were refined, deadly, and far harder to counter through The Flow alone.

A single mistake could leave him severely wounded—or worse. Victory would not be enough. Cain needed absolute domination, overwhelming her so completely that resistance would be impossible when he cast her into the Astral Black Hole.

Meylin stood beside him and followed suit, entering cultivation as well. The Life Path was outnumbered, and she would need every fragment of her strength to face the multiple opponents that awaited her.

Days passed swiftly.

One by one, ArchDeities began arriving at the Heart of Sin. Each arrival carried the weight of battle-hardened existence, and every single one of them instinctively turned their gaze toward Cain and Meylin. The duo did not conceal their cultivation. Their presence alone announced their status, and shock rippled through the gathered powerhouses when they realized both had reached Peak ArchDeity Rank.

Such cultivation speed bordered on the absurd.

The Divine Kingdom Path of Power was straightforward in theory—Dream as foundation, Origin Power as fuel—but countless beings had stagnated for millions of years at a single level.

Yet Cain and Meylin had advanced at a speed that defied reason. The cause, however, was clear to those who understood their journey. Their Dreams were vast and refined beyond measure, and their Neo-Demon and Depravita inheritances allowed them to seize Oniric Truths in months rather than millennia. As for Origin Power, the endless bloodshed and fallen enemies they left behind spoke for itself.

Among the arrivals, Cain recognized familiar figures—the Enlightened One, Tiamat, the Lord of the Void—yet there were also many absences. Too many. The grim reality of the Life Path’s losses in the Second Realm was unmistakable.

Seven days passed in the blink of an eye.

Cain and Meylin rose from their cultivation, their auras sharp and controlled. Zarazel stood before the assembled ArchDeities, his expression cold and resolute. Everyone present understood the stakes. This was not merely another battle—it was a final gamble. Continued skirmishes would only delay the inevitable. Victory here could reverse the fate of the Second Realm entirely.

Cain’s scarlet eyes swept across the gathered ArchDeities. He saw no hesitation.

There was no need for speeches.

In a matter of seconds, Cain, Zarazel, Meylin, and the Life Path’s remaining ArchDeity powerhouses surged out of the Heart of Sin and into the skies of the Second Realm. Their combined killing intent warped the air itself, making the heavens tremble as though bracing for catastrophe.

Finding Urin was easy. One could not conquer vast continents of the Second Realm from the shadows.

Likewise, their advance was impossible to conceal. Urin sensed them long before they arrived—and she did not retreat. Nor could she. If she withdrew, Cain and the others would simply reclaim territory piece by piece until the final confrontation became unavoidable.

This was her zenith.

Her momentum was at an all-time high, and there was no better time for her to fight than now.

Cain’s gaze locked onto her figure in the distance. He halted abruptly, his grip tightening around Sky Devourer. Across the battlefield, Urin stood unflinching, her aura blazing as a dagger manifested in her left hand.

For a single heartbeat, Neo-Demon and Neo-Angel stared at one another.

They were separated by countless kilometers.

Then they vanished.

In the next instant, sword and dagger collided high above the clouds. The impact shook the firmament itself, as though two stars had crashed together.
