Chapter 2286: The plight of the Life Path in the Second Realm
Of course, due to the symbiotic nature of the Power of Chaos, Cain was not the only one who grew stronger.
A faint smile appeared on his face as he turned to the side, sensing a powerful aura rising close to him. He could clearly feel Neo-Demon Aura surging, accompanied by the unmistakable destructive properties of an Absolute Destruction True Doomsday Body manifesting within a Divine Kingdom adjacent to his own.
Without wasting a single moment, Cain unfurled his Crimson Wings. Space folded beneath him, and he vanished—only to reappear high above the skies of his Divine Kingdom.
The sight before him was nothing short of magnificent.
The Divine Kingdom had grown truly colossal, its size now rivaling vast portions of a realm. Endless continents of golden land stretched beneath him, rivers of energy flowing like luminous veins through the world. The people living within it had grown considerably stronger as well, nurtured by the ever-rising power of the Kingdom and the massive influx of pure, refined energy that permeated every corner of existence.
The moment Cain appeared, all cultivators within the Divine Kingdom instinctively bowed.
Their movements were synchronized, reverent, and absolute. Awe and devotion filled their eyes as they gazed upon him. To them, Cain was not merely a ruler or guardian—he was a true god. An omniscient, omnipotent existence to whom they owed their survival, their strength, and their future.
Cain had always been remarkably lax with the people inside his Divine Kingdom. He neither imposed harsh restrictions nor forced accelerated growth upon them. He did not interfere excessively, nor did he shackle their freedom. They lived as they wished, cultivated as they desired, and advanced at their own pace. The power of the Divine Kingdom was freely available to all who could perceive it, and those with ambition were rewarded by the natural flow of destiny itself.
Taking a deep breath, Cain raised his hand.
Thousands upon thousands of drops of crimson blood spilled from his palm, scattering across the sky like falling stars. Each drop halted midair, rising upward before transforming into towering pillars of scarlet light. Within each pillar resided condensed knowledge—complete legacies of ArchDeity Techniques, cultivation insights, and fragments of Oniric Truths.
Once he ensured that the Supercomputer Assistant had taken control of the distribution and regulation of those resources, Cain shifted his gaze.
To the left, space trembled.
A figure emerged from a neighboring Divine Kingdom, her presence radiant and overwhelming. Meylin rose into the sky, her form bathed in golden light. The glow in her eyes was serene yet absolute, a clear sign of her profound mastery over The Flow. Her aura was refined, harmonious, and terrifyingly powerful.
A radiant smile appeared on her face as her gaze met Cain’s.
Longing surfaced in the eyes of both the Neo-Demon and the True Depravita as they looked at one another. It had been years since they had last truly seen each other. Though Cain needed to advance quickly, taking time to acclimate to the Power of Chaos—and to the Depravita forces now coursing through his body—was wise.
Thus, together with Meylin, Cain descended.
They marched through the landmass of the Second Realm.
Thanks to their immense power, remaining unnoticed was effortless. Entire armies could have passed nearby without sensing a trace of their presence. As Cain observed the state of the realm, however, his brow gradually furrowed.
Things were not going well for the warriors of the Life Path.
Fortunately, while Meylin remained within her Divine Kingdom for much of the time—focusing on cultivation and ensuring Cain’s safety—she had also been carefully monitoring the events unfolding across the Crimson World.
Urin, the Alpha–Omega Overgod Neo-Angel who commanded the forces of the Freedom Path in the Second Realm, had been extremely active. Her conquest had been relentless. Stronghold after stronghold fell, Eternal Kingdoms were annihilated, and the lives of countless powerhouses were claimed beneath her advance.
At present, the Freedom Path controlled nearly eighty percent of the Second Realm’s landmass.
Even if Urin was stronger than Azazel, the True Depravita of Fear, and possessed an Alpha–Omega Overgod Natural Inheritance, such rapid expansion in such a short span of time was bound to be dangerous—and costly. Yet it appeared she cared little for the casualties among her troops or the immense treasures consumed to fuel her conquest.
As Cain analyzed the situation, unease crept into his thoughts.
This might have been a response to his actions in the Third Layer. The destruction of Bradly’s body and soul had undoubtedly shaken the balance. Still, Cain could feel that something else lurked beneath the surface—something he had yet to perceive.
"If I succeed with my plans involving the Fourth Astral Black Hole," Cain thought calmly, "I will find the answer to this as well."
Sharpness and determination crossed his eyes as he nodded to himself. Then, allowing those thoughts to recede into the background, he reached out and grasped Meylin’s hand. Together, they continued to fly across the war-torn realm.
Once he began his next phase of plans, Cain doubted he would have any time to rest. So he allowed himself to enjoy these fleeting days, brief as they were.
Even in a land scarred by endless war, beauty still existed.
Together, Cain and Meylin brought countless people into their Divine Kingdoms. Their golden domains were already capable of housing trillions of life forms. Since the growth of every inhabitant nourished the Divine Kingdom in return, increasing their population was not merely an act of kindness—it was strategic.
They did not force anyone to come.
But in a realm consumed by war, there were countless families desperate for a place where their children could live without fear.
After weeks spent easing their minds and hearts through each other’s company—and rescuing trillions of lives across the Second Realm—Cain and Meylin finally returned to the Void Beyond the Realm, entering the Heart of Sin and ascending to its highest level.
There, they encountered Zarazel.
The expression on the face of the True Depravita of Fear was grim. His eyes carried exhaustion, suppressed rage, and deep frustration—emotions he made little effort to conceal. The reason was obvious. Securing the Second Realm had been his responsibility, and by every measure, he had failed.
So consumed was he by his thoughts that it took a moment for him to notice Cain’s presence.
When he did, his eyes widened in shock.
Surprise rippled through his being as he felt the immense, terrifying power coursing through the Neo-Demon’s body—power far greater than when he saw Cain last time.
