While the Old Yellow Ox waited, an urgent message arrived within the Sect.
The message came suddenly and swiftly, like a stone tossed into a tranquil lake, instantly stirring up ripples. Soon after, the tolling of a bell echoed from the Sect. The bell’s chime was heavy and distant, ringing out one after another, reverberating in the skies above the Wuyun Sect. Every strike made people’s hearts tremble, as if announcing the imminent arrival of a monumental event.
Following that, messages were passed down like falling snowflakes. Every peak and hall received an urgent summons.
Immediately, streaks of escaping light shot up into the sky from all corners of the Sect, merging into a dazzling river of light that flew in the same direction. The leading streaks of light were exceptionally radiant, exuding a thick and majestic aura. These were clearly the top powerhouses of the Sect. Their speed was astonishing; they vanished over the horizon in the blink of an eye.
The disciples who hadn’t received the message looked up at the mighty crowd departing. Stream after stream of light flashed across the sky. There were so many that they almost obscured half the heavens.
They were coming out in full force. What exactly had happened to cause the Sect to mobilize on such a massive scale?

Inside the shelter, many people were fraught with panic and unease. The constant bombardment of external forces left them entirely in the dark about the situation outside. Yet, their instincts warned them that the shelter could be breached at any moment, leaving them all dead.
Even Jiang Man had no way of knowing what was happening outside. The shelter had been completely sealed off, a measure genuinely taken for the sake of those inside. If they hadn’t implemented this level of lockdown, everyone here would have been practically wiped out just by enduring the residual aura of the attacks.
Time passed agonizingly slowly—so slowly that they counted every breath. Every day felt like a year. The sudden, violent sounds of impact made time feel even more distorted and prolonged.
During this ordeal, some people couldn’t handle the pressure and felt they might as well go outside and die. All of these individuals were subdued by Zhuo Qingcheng and her group.
"This isn’t working. Many of them can’t hold on much longer," Zhuo Qingcheng said.
The Sect Leader nodded in agreement. Even he was on the verge of breaking; the sheer power of the attacks made his Heart Spirit palpitate.
Jiang Man nodded. "Indeed. They shouldn’t have to endure such suffering. I think we need to do something."
Hearing this, the Sect Leader asked joyfully, "Are you going to rally everyone’s spirits, Senior? With your support, I’m sure everyone will feel much better."
Jiang Man ignored him and turned to Zhuo Qingcheng’s group. "Among all the people here, your Cultivation should be the highest, right?"
"Senior Brother He is the strongest, and I’m second," Zhuo Qingcheng confirmed.
"That’s enough," Jiang Man said earnestly. "Then, Junior Sister, go alleviate their pain."
The Sect Leader thought that having Fairy Zhuo do it would be fine too. After all, word had been going around lately about her contributions, giving her a certain level of prestige.
However, Jiang Man instructed, "Knock them all out. Every single one of them. Don’t let them wake up until this is over."
"Senior Brother, isn’t that a bit inhumane?" He Que asked, looking at Jiang Man.
Right after he spoke, a surge of power landed on him. Then, he completely lost consciousness.
The crowd stared blankly at He Que, who had collapsed to the ground. Did an expert at the Late Stage of Primordial Spirit need to be spared from suffering too? 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ
Han Meixue immediately chimed in, "Honestly, Senior Brother He shouldn’t have said things that harm our unity."
The Sect Leader and the others quickly nodded in agreement. "Senior is right. It’s actually better to knock them out. It will also prevent any accidents from happening.
"If there are any hidden infiltrators among us, they’ll become incredibly obvious."
If everyone was asleep and someone suddenly stood up, wouldn’t they expose themselves immediately? With that settled, everyone began to carry out the plan.
In less than two hours, the panicked cries completely vanished, and everyone lay there quietly.
Jiang Man told them to try their best to wake everyone up before Ren Qian and his group came in.
Zhuo Qingcheng nodded. "I’ll do my best, but if they barge in suddenly, it’s hard to guarantee."
Jiang Man didn’t mind and simply told her to try. If it didn’t work out, he would do the explaining himself.
Afterward, Jiang Man began his Cultivation. However, he couldn’t completely lose himself in it as he had before, since he needed to stay on guard against any external threats.
Meanwhile, in a corner, Han Meixue watched Jiang Man and whispered to Zhuo Qingcheng, "I can’t believe Senior Brother is still able to cultivate in this situation."
Zhuo Qingcheng took a deep breath. "Why else would he be considered a peerless genius?"
Han Meixue looked down at Senior Brother He on the floor and sighed with pity. "He is at the Late Stage of Primordial Spirit, yet he was knocked out in an instant. I wonder how he’ll react when he wakes up."
"He’ll just record it diligently," Zhuo Qingcheng replied calmly.
What else could he do besides recording it? Arm-wrestle with Jiang Man? That would just be asking for trouble. Just look at what Senior Brother Jiang Man had done recently.
He recruited Evil God members, reported them, and collected a massive reward from the Sect. Then, he falsely claimed the credit for killing a wanted criminal. And collected even more rewards from the Sect.
What kind of Primordial Spirit cultivator would dare claim the bounty for a Returning Void wanted criminal?
At this moment, the oppressive feeling rapidly spread, weighing down on them until it was hard to breathe. The Young Sect Leader couldn’t take it anymore and pleaded, "Sect Leader, please knock me out too. I can’t hold on any longer."
One day later.
The Sect Leader looked at Zhuo Qingcheng. "Fairy Zhuo, I must trouble you." Feeling the stifling atmosphere around him, he felt like he was going to lose his mind.
That afternoon.
Han Meixue looked at Zhuo Qingcheng. "Senior Sister, I can’t take it anymore either."
Zhuo Qingcheng didn’t knock her out; instead, she handed her a Visualization Skill manual.
"Eternal Sun? The fourth edition?" Han Meixue asked in surprise.
"Yeah, bought it from the black market," Zhuo Qingcheng replied.
The fourth edition could only be bought from Jiang Man’s current courtyard. This was because Mr. Ji had taken time out of his schedule to modify it for them. They were all guinea pigs. It would only be passed on to others if there were no issues.
The version currently circulating in the market was still the second edition.
