Chapter 330: Mysterious Source 13

Seeing the message from Wei Lan, Han Su felt a sense of relief.

He had initially asked Wei Lan to call Lu Neng over so he could give him the Glasses and the Pocket Watch. As for finding Lü Xiaobai, that was to awaken him.

But hunting a noble didn’t seem easy, so having a few helpers would be necessary.

As for Giant Horn City and Skinning Manor, let them fight. The more fiercely they fought, the more convenient it would be for him to act.

‘Of course, I need to find a safe place to lie low for a bit first!’

With these thoughts in mind, he followed the highway and arrived before a city built against a mountain, glittering with lights.

Giant Horn City sat upon the land, its lights as brilliant and vast as a sea of stars. In the pitch-black landscape, it looked like a magnificent work of art.

Cities are the crystallization of civilization, and they have always been the most beautiful and captivating works of art.

At first glance, the city seemed completely undefended. All its highways appeared to allow free entry.

But Han Su didn’t dare to be careless.

The information Wei Lan had given him already stated that this city had no Miss Ai, but it wasn’t easy to enter either.

The primary source of every city’s power is actually its people. The role Miss Ai played in Qinggang was to wield all the Authority within the city, including the third line of physical defense, but her own body possessed no power.

In other words, entering Giant Horn City also required breaking through the city’s third line of physical defense.

Normally, people from the wilderness who wished to enter a city needed to sign a non-disclosure agreement and receive permission.

If they barged in recklessly and were discovered, they would be treated the same as Mysterious Believers—killed on the spot or sent to a secret prison.

However, Han Su had his own idea. He brought the Little Lamb Girl to an overpass leading into the city. First, he softly chanted, “I command you to appear in the Light.” Only then did he take her hand and slowly step forward.

As he crossed a subtle boundary, Han Su felt the whole world blur. It was as if countless gazes were sweeping over him and the Little Lamb Girl, an overwhelming convergence of eyes focusing on him.

He had chanted the incantation for Number 05 beforehand, drawing all the attention to himself.

He could clearly feel his Divine Material being affected, as if his body was overcome with an uncontrollable desire to mutate.

But the Emperor’s Text itself possessed no aberrant characteristics, so the desire quickly dissipated. He felt as though he had stepped into warm water. The scenery around him flickered for a moment, and when reality solidified again, he was already inside the city with no abnormalities.

‘The convenience of the Emperor’s Text…’

His theory confirmed, Han Su let out a soft breath.

Only in this timeline did he understand just how difficult it was for outsiders to enter a city.

This was especially true for those who had begun Stealing Mysterious Power and whose Divine Material had been altered. The moment they tried to enter a city, they would trigger its defense mechanisms. Simply put, the higher a person’s level of mystery, the more likely they were to provoke the city’s alarm and rejection.

Conversely, Tier One Transcendents, whose Divine Material had not yet been contaminated, could actually sneak past the physical defense line.

This was why low-level monstrosities and believers often appeared in cities, while high-level dangerous entities rarely did.

He was an exception.

The Emperor’s Text kept his Divine Material in its original state, making him no different from an ordinary person.

To a certain extent, this was like having an all-access pass to every city.

Not only that, but by drawing the attention of the physical defense line to himself, he could even bring a monstrous being like the Little Lamb Girl into the city.

Walking on the streets of Giant Horn City, he felt a bit more at ease.

With the experience of this timeline, he could finally understand the true meaning of the phrase “a hotbed of reality.”

Life inside the city was too peaceful, too blissful. One could even ignore the many abnormalities and monstrosities of the world.

Walking through this city, however, Han Su found it difficult to recapture the feeling of his former carefree life in Qinggang. The architectural styles of the two cities were just too different.

Although it still gave one a sense of stability, far removed from all things bizarre, he felt more like a traveler in a foreign land. If there was one similarity, it was the highly civilized environment.

Without lingering on the streets, Han Su first took the Little Lamb Girl to find a hotel.

Its decor was magnificent and resplendent, looking quite expensive.

But Han Su didn’t go straight in. While he had some money on him, it was Southern Continent currency, which wasn’t accepted in Giant Horn City.

In this world, only Ancient Gold Coins could be used without issue, recognized everywhere.

Of course, Ancient Gold Coins only circulated within the Mysterious Circle; ordinary people wouldn’t recognize them.

Han Su first circled around to the back of the hotel. After having the Little Lamb Girl climb onto his back, he used the power of [My Limbs] and scaled the wall. He climbed the vertical surface as if it were flat ground, even carrying his suitcase in one hand.

He soon found a dark, empty room. He first seeped some copper-colored blood into the window seam to open it, then pulled the Little Lamb Girl off his back and pushed her inside.

Entering the city was difficult, but once inside, using some Mysterious Power wasn’t so easily noticed.

After getting into the room, he first grabbed the “Do Not Disturb” sign.

Holding it in his hands, he silently recited Zero Sequence Encrypted Spell Number 06:
