Listening to Han Su’s smiling explanation, Akbar was already growing afraid.

She swallowed, her gaze flicking to the Little Lamb Girl, and asked in a low voice, “Then… you’ll give her to me?”

The Little Lamb Girl, wrapped in an oversized suit jacket beside them, immediately lifted her head and glanced at Han Su.

“Not so fast.”

Han Su smiled at Akbar. “Since my mission is complete, isn’t it time we discussed the matters between us?”

Akbar was suddenly on guard. “What?”

Han Su looked her straight in the eye and said, “You owe me the commission for four missions.”

Veins bulged on Akbar’s forehead, her eyes seeming to lose focus. She gritted her teeth and said, “That’s because I picked you off the streets! I’m the one who trained you! You’re my apprentice—you were supposed to work for me for free!”

Han Su nodded. “Then how do you explain sending me into a horde of Blood Servants to be used as bait?”

Akbar’s face grew even paler, almost bloodless, as she hissed, “I was trying to awaken your potential, but I never went through with it… Besides, in this line of work, everyone has to take a turn. You were the youngest, with the fewest ties. If I didn’t send you, who else would I send?”

Han Su nodded, accepting the excuse. His gaze fell upon the Little Lamb Girl as he said, “I’m taking her.”

“This is my mission. She’s my target…”

Akbar spoke through clenched teeth, her breathing growing heavy. But as she met Han Su’s gaze, her voice suddenly softened.

“Butcher, why have you become someone I don’t even recognize?”

“Have you been secretly worshiping one of the Gods? You’ve received their Blessing, haven’t you?”

“No one just suddenly obtains this kind of power unless they’ve sacrificed themselves. So, right now, you’re…”

“…”

As she reached the end, her voice dropped, making one subconsciously strain to hear.

Just then, a gunshot—BANG!—rang out from behind Han Su, shockingly abrupt and swift.

The next instant, a blur of motion erupted from both sides as two figures closed in—they were two members of the Queen Bee Squad.

While talking to Han Su, Akbar had already been communicating with her squad members via pheromones.

One person took advantage of Han Su’s apparent distraction to shoot at the back of his head, while the other two quickly closed in from the sides, ready to deliver a finishing blow in case he somehow survived the gunshot.

They both knew things had reached a point of no return; there would be no lucky escapes. Forget having any other good reason—once a conversation stalled like this, even stepping forward with your left foot first was reason enough to kill. Therefore, she simply made the first move.

But the seemingly defenseless Han Su simply tilted his head, dodging the shot.

Without even looking at the people rushing him from the sides, the copper-colored blood that had seeped out of his briefcase and not been retracted flew into the air, sharp as a blade. In an instant, it slit all three of their throats.

BANG! BANG!

At that very moment, two heavy gunshots rang out from the hillside north of the village.

It was the snipers lying in ambush on the hill.

But Han Su knew someone was watching out for him, so he didn’t even turn his head. Sure enough, the bullets left the snipers’ barrels and flew straight for Han Su’s body, only to abruptly merge into an invisible mirror in the air after a short distance.

The bullets that flew into the mirror were instantly reflected.

Accompanied by two more gunshots, both snipers were struck in the forehead. They slumped onto the hillside without a sound.

“You…”

The pain and fear of her squad members in their final moments simultaneously intertwined and bored into Akbar’s mind.

She let out a low growl and flung open a satchel at her waist. Inside was a row of syringes filled with different colored liquids. As she pulled them out, the caps fell away, revealing sharp, deadly needles. She then lunged at Han Su.

In that instant, the surrounding air seemed to thicken, filled with a buzzing sound, as if countless invisible bees were swarming about, forcing their way into his ears, nostrils, eyes, and mouth.

Meanwhile, Akbar, clutching the syringes between her fingers, stabbed viciously at Han Su, her attack like a hornet’s sharp sting.

Han Su shot out a hand, his left grabbing her wrist. With a slight squeeze, he shattered it. The syringes fell to the ground.

Akbar screamed in pain, her face a mask of terror, but she used the opportunity to exhale a strange, invisible vapor from her mouth.

But Han Su, through the Glasses he wore, saw everything with perfect clarity.

‘Queen Bee pheromones.’

‘The same elements used to make the ink.’

Akbar’s power wasn’t suited for direct combat; her powers were used for information Stealing, transmission, and assassination. Enemies who died by her hand rarely went out in a blaze of glory after a three-hundred-round duel; they typically died feeling utterly and miserably wronged.

Unfortunately for her, Han Su was not one of those enemies. He wore the Glasses and had already learned about her abilities from the Emperor’s Book.

In a way, Han Su understood her abilities even better than she did herself.

In fact, he was using this as an opportunity to activate his own Spiritual Power, leveraging her all-pervading pheromone invasion to perceive his own Spiritual Model.

Akbar, still thinking Han Su had been too slow to react and had fallen for her trick, immediately gambled everything. She concentrated all her power for the sole purpose of invading Han Su’s genes.

This was the Queen Bee’s ultimate survival technique.

When faced with an unbeatable foe, she would inject her own “information toxin” into her opponent’s body. It would lie dormant within their genes until the conditions were right. Then, it would incubate, influencing their genetic fragments, twisting their physical form, and ultimately transforming them into her.
