The dragon's harem

Chapter 2088: Suffer to Gain

Chapter 2088: Suffer to Gain

By the time it became Olivia’s turn, the sun was already about to dawn outside. The poor maid, for a moment there, thought she wouldn’t get a chance, but she did. As she lay on the bed, Zephyr landed on her forehead, looking directly toward Arad.

"Careful, this one is more fragile than eggs." She lifted her foot and stomped down on Olivia’s forehead, causing her to flinch. "Ow! That hurts!"

Olivia was a powerful, undefeated level 3; no one had ever managed to lay a hand on her because she had never gotten into a fight before. Her kill count is in the thousands, thousands of flies and a few chickens that she slaughtered for cooking.

Her body was almost perfect, as Arad’s wives had only picked the most beautiful of noble ladies to join the maid ranks, but unlike the wives, her curves were made of fat instead of muscles. To Arad’s hands, she felt as soft as jelly and would crumble in his arms if he tried to lift her up.

Looking at her short black hair, dark brown eyes, and pale face, Arad could sense a hint of fear, excitement, and, lastly, hesitation. This was the first time she had ever done something like this, and to think she would end up with the one man who could tear the world apart. Her hands trembled, and her toes curled as she took a deep, slow breath.

She had seen Arad’s fight with Eris and came to know the difference in power between them. She knew well that Arad wasn’t just strong, powerful, or abnormal; he was on a whole other dimension of unreasonable power.

He had changed a lot since she saw him the first time, which was at Kizuke’s party. She was one of the guests at the vampire brat’s party, and she was lucky to survive. She had seen Arad fight for the first time there, and she almost immediately knew that he was strange.

At the time, she labelled him just as any other powerful adventurer and had even suspected that he would one day become an S-rank, but at the time, she didn’t want to approach or risk anything with him. Many people like that were destined to die young as their lives were filled with deadly threats, and she wasn’t willing to become a widow any time before she became an old hag.

She failed to make her move, and by the time she realized that a true monster had slipped past her, Arad had already become a baron, and word was going around about him having blown Vlad’s kingdom from the face of the world.

She was late, and even if she had approached, she was too weak and poor compared to other nobles to show off. Adventurers hate nothing more than getting tied down to nobles, kingdoms, and cities, and so to Arad, she was nothing but shackles.

But even Olivia knew that her story wasn’t anything unique; all of the maids here had seen or known about Arad before ever applying to the castle, and some of them even had darker pasts. One of the maids standing by the wall was even the daughter of a noble that Arad killed in the royal capital for trying to harm Mira.

In fact, compared to other maids, her past was tame, not having anything major about her, and so even getting accepted into the maids was a surprise. She didn’t know what Isdis saw in her, but she was glad she got accepted and would never dare ask how.

Getting accepted as one of the maids was probably the best thing that happened to her in her life, and the best thing to ever happen to her family. They quickly rose in power thanks to her, and now, they were on a whole other level than they were before.

It was well known before that the royal maid could carry as much power as the queens, but it was far more than that here. As a maid, Olivia didn’t just have access to the queens and emperor, but to all other noble ladies working here and even gods.

It was quite terrifying to know that if she wanted to, she could talk to Eris, a literal goddess, or ask Sara to take her to see what hell looks like. In fact, just knowing that she could possibly ask Kali to take her to see the Styx River, where the dead pass to the afterlife, felt strange.

But what got her was the fact that all of that power, influence, and reach was gathered by a single man, the one spreading her legs apart now.

As Arad touched her with his flesh, she flinched. It didn’t feel like human skin to her, but like solid, hard steel. It was clear that no matter how hard she clenched herself, she wouldn’t be able to slow his thrusts or resist them. Of course, she couldn’t; not even Mira, who is a demi-goddess, could endure his strength.

"Careful, Arad." Zephyr jumped on Olivia’s chest and stood on it, one leg on each of her breasts. "Use this; she is wet, but probably not enough." From nothing, Zephyr produced a small bottle of oil and poured it on Olivia’s lower half.

The moment the oil dripped on her flesh, Olivia felt her lower parts burning with heat, itching down to her bones. Something was off, and she gave Zephyr a strange look as her face blushed and her eyes started tearing up. "What... was in it. It burns, and itches..."

"It’s a spirit oil that cleanses and amplifies senses. It’s usually used to take off stuck bandages or as a local anaesthetic for burns and scratches." She shrugged. "That itch you feel can mask the pain of almost all small wounds."

"No way..." As Olivia cried, she suddenly felt something pressing on her tiny hole. It was massive, solid, and unstoppable. She looked down, "Please... be gentle."

But no amount of slowing down was going to help her. Arad’s flesh was as massive as an arm, and putting it was as dire as a whole fist, so the moment he started pushing in, she could feel her own flesh tearing apart.

For the first second, she felt so much pain that she wailed as loudly as she could, but almost immediately, that pain started fading away and was replaced by a burning itch and a strong will to scratch her insides. She gasped for air, panted, and was already drenched in sweat from head to toe.

As he looked around, her pained eyes landed on Isdis’s alluring, cold legs. At that point, Arad had pushed just a quarter of his length inside her, and yet, she was barely able to endure it. She turned to her side, crawled up toward Isdis’s legs, and grabbed her foot. Without hesitating for a second, she started licking and sucking on her frigid toes, trying to cool her burning body down, and when that wasn’t enough, she climbed even higher and hugged Isdis’s entire leg like a pillow.

Isdis gave the maid a look, smiled, and wrapped her other leg around her, cooling her body slowly as Arad thrusted deeper. "She is burning up." Isdis threw a glance at Zephyr, "What did you give her? That wasn’t just a simple oil as you explained."

"It is a simple oil, but... what’s burning isn’t Olivia’s body, but her soul." Zephyr flew toward Isdis and sat on her chest, looking down at the panting Olivia. "The oil wasn’t what caused this, but a wish she made. She didn’t just want to do it with Arad; she wanted to bear his child, to get pregnant." Zephyr threw a glance at the other maids. "All I did was allow her to try."

She then looked at Arad. "She won’t die, but the rougher you get with her and the more pain she feels, the higher the chances. Simply because she’ll need to consume a lot of her own soul power." Zephyr shifted to humanoid size, landed on Isdis and Olivia, then extended her foot toward Arad’s face. "So, thrust all the way inside her. She wasn’t fated for anything, but today, that might change."

Isdis tried to push Zephyr away from her, but the spirit refused to move, staying on top of her as she rubbed her foot on Arad’s face. "Come on, give her what she wants. If you don’t believe me, then look at her mind."

She slapped Olivia, and the panting maid couldn’t even react properly. Looking at Olivia’s mind, Arad could indeed see her asking Zephyr for her, and he could even see Zephyr warning her that it’ll be painful and agonizing.

He knew that Zephyr had djinn blood in her, but didn’t know how her powers worked, so all he could do was trust Olivia’s decision.

Zephyr’s wish-granting power worked in a simple way, the exact opposite of her father’s. If someone wished for something, she would first have them suffer, spend the negative energy so she could gain positive energy, and then use that positive energy to grant their wishes.

Olivia’s wish wasn’t granted yet; she had to suffer first, and the more she suffered, the more energy Zephyr would accumulate and then could spend on her.

Arad quickly looked into Zephyr’s mind and saw a quick explanation on how it worked; he could see something akin to a number rising the more Olivia suffered, a minimum target for Zephyr to try to grant the wish, and the cost of it all. But there was a catch: Zephyr didn’t need to grant the wish; she could always leave with the positive energy.

Arad grabbed Zephyr’s foot and moved it away from his face, before staring at her. "Wait a minute... does this work on you?"

Zephyr laughed. "Ah, if you’re asking about me starving myself and suffering, not, I do not gain anything from that. It doesn’t work on me." She finally moved from above Isdis and crawled down toward Arad, climbing toward his face as she sat on Olivia’s chest. "Come on, what are you waiting for? Thrust as hard as you could, make her scream. The more she cries, the better for her." She licked his cheek, and then looked at the maids. "Who wants to suffer for a chance of getting pregnant from him, raise your hands."

More than half of the maids lifted their hands.

Arad sighed, and Zephyr licked his lips. "Come on, I can let you play with my power later. You get hurt a lot in fights, don’t you? I could turn that around, if you just give me the chance."

Arad finally gave up, so while keeping a close eye on Olivia’s mind, he pulled back a bit, then thrusted as far as he could inside her, crashing right past her cervix and into the walls of her womb. She could even scream, only open her mouth, gasping for air. But inside her mind, she was still holding strong.

Strangely enough, her mind was strong, far stronger than many humans that he saw. She felt the pain, she cried, she cursed, but her consciousness never faltered, not even once. She was focused on one goal and jumped into the flames to reach it.

Olivia Brimdock, he had seen her name on the list of maids that Isdis picked up, and beside it was a notice explaining why she was accepted into the maids. "A spirit as robust as Lydia, but fuelled by all the wrong reasons."
