Chapter 1754: Ended In A Flash
Chapter 1754: Ended In A Flash
The moment Nyar decided the fight had cost him more than he could ever win, cracks started to appear. His moves changed, and his fighting style shifted, taking a more aggressive form to deceive the eyes of Amaterasu and Yog.
His plan was simple: put pressure on Arad and Gojo, then suddenly attack the two goddesses above. If that distraction worked, he would be able to condense all of the vessel’s energy and eject it into the void of space safely. Once far enough, neither Amaterasu nor Yog would be able to catch him.
Arad and Gojo dodged his attacks, and they could feel that something was up. Nyar clearly wasn’t just taking a different approach; he was plotting something, and so the two had to bring out their heavy weapons. If those two learned anything from being in Limbo, it is that the fact they both got trapped there in the first place was a problem. So now, both of them had a panic button to save them in case anything bad happens.
Gojo slashed space with his blade, cutting a rift open, and Arad spun his spear, thrusting it into the crust of the world. Instantly, golden sparks spread across the surface of the universe from Arad’s spear, and silver light emerged from Gojo’s rift.
It was only then that Nyar realized that he miscalculated something simple. Amaterasu and Yog weren’t the only divine beings watching the fight; he had missed another two who were close by. They were so close in fact that he felt ashamed for not realizing sooner.
He had missed two of the scariest beings in the entire universe, the two embodiments of trouble, the two women who stood above mess and ruin. The feared ones, the silver and golden sparks of AO.
Arad’s destruction spear flashed golden, and suddenly, an army of billions of demons covered the surface of the universe, and above them, even more angels of pure destruction flew, all ready for war. Standing beside Arad, Kali was in her full demonic form, glaring at Nyar with a twisted, angry glare.
From the rift that Gojo created, an endless sea of silver mist burst forward, and from it, violent and primal energy burst into an ocean of chaos, burning matter, and boiling divine essence. He didn’t just open any rift, but one straight back into Entropy’s Hall, and she didn’t waste a second coming out.
Unlike Arad, who expected Kali to answer if he called her, Gojo didn’t know whether Entropy would come out or not, but what could he say? He was a gambler, and she loved her wild magic. So, won’t be relying on luck to call her appropriate?
Gojo smiled, “How about it? Won’t this one provide the universe enough energy to satisfy you?” But of course, Gojo knew that to win a gamble, he had to be prepared and do his due diligence of preparations. In this case, he used Nyar as bait. Entropy wanted energy, and he would dangle it in front of her.
Yog had made a deal with Entropy that, in exchange for letting Arad and Gojo out, they would kill abominations and turn them to energy through death for the universe. Nyar here would make a fine first payment to Entropy, and she sure looked happy about it.
Gojo was like a fisher, he didn’t know if he would catch a fish today or not, but he did all he could to increase his chances. He picked the right time, used the right bait, and cast his net.
In the next femtosecond, everything ripped apart as the incarnations of chaos and destruction tore through space and time at their full force, grabbing Nyar’s vessel and wiping the universe’s outer crust with his face.
Neither Arad nor Gojo could keep up and see what happened; it was too fast even for them. When not having to hold back, Kali and Entropy embodied their nature even more prominently. Kali could destroy anything and everything, and Entropy could eviscerate everything into a jumbled mess with a single thought.
The only thing that could stop those two combined is Stillness and Creation if they were to join hands. But that was now impossible, because one of them was crippled, and the other was too lazy to move.
Arad and Gojo were still standing ready to fight when they noticed that Nyar had already disappeared, and that somewhere far into the horizon, a massive ball of fire and magic erupted.
“What?” Arad gasped, and Gojo quickly sent a pulse of magic to scan and locate Nyar, thinking he escaped their detection range. Gojo paled, the explosion they saw was too far that he couldn’t even detect the ripples of its magic, which meant even light would take at least several minutes to reach it.
The angels of destruction above floated down, and one of them looked at Arad. “Nyar’s vessel is gone. Her Eminence and Entropy destroyed it.” The archon, a tall, muscular man matching Arad in size and form, landed with grace, and his wings folded back to nothing, disappearing with a golden spark behind his wide back.
For a second, Arad was confused by the angel’s look, only to realize that the archon in front of him probably never had a humanoid form to begin with. He had just seen Arad, and mimicked his shape to look more inviting and less terrifying.
“We seem to have arrived late.” The archon looked sad. “By the time we appeared, Nyar was already killed.” The archon then looked at Arad with a smile. “I’m glad you’re safe.”
Then one of the demons landed right beside Arad, glaring at him with a pissed face. “Who are those bugs? Two void dragons?” She growled at Arad’s face. “Shouldn’t you two be on the frontlines? What are you doing here out of order?”
Arad looked at her, quickly noticing that the demoness, who looked like a titan of bones, was as strong as Diana, and she oozed with both demonic and divine magic.
But at that moment, Kali appeared beside Arad. “Garlishka… Is that a way to talk to my husband? Or do you want me to rip you apart?”
The archon jumped backward and kneeled, and so did the demoness. “Your Eminence, please forgive her. She wasn’t informed.” He dragged the demoness aside and whispered to her. “Hoi! I told you that her Eminence found a husband, that’s him. Besides, those two managed to hold Nyar for so long, so they aren’t as weak as you expect.”
The demoness paled. “Bastard! Should’ve told me before I opened my mouth!” She growled at him, and Kali laughed. “Don’t worry about it! Just don’t do it again, and don’t tell Diana about it or she’ll actually kill you.”
Kali looked at Arad with a smile and then shifted to her little girl form as she landed on his shoulder. “Let’s go home; they’ll handle the cleanup here.” She could’ve sat on his shoulder in her true form, but that was dangerous once they teleported into the mortal world. To avoid any possible damage, she reduced her power to the level of the goddess of orphans at that moment.
On the other side, Gojo looked back at Entropy and her endless sea of boundless chaos. “You really came. I didn’t expect that.”
She looked at him with her misty eyes, and then a booming voice came out. “It is an investment in you.” She extended her hands forward, and her mist condensed into a handle around Gojo’s blade. “I’ll give you a part of my power, so go pay Stillness a visit next.”
She then started disappearing. “Never forget, Entropy never decreases, so keep killing abominations for me.”
As Gojo and Arad prepared to teleport back into the universe, Amaterasu and Yog looked down at them from the floating cloud. “We should go as well.” Yog sighed, and Amaterasu nodded. “Not what I expected them to learn, but it is also good that they learned to rely on others.” She waved her hand, and the cloud started floating down.
Amaterasu’s archons quickly rushed in to fix her Yukata, and Yog stared at her. “Are you done with your preparations?”
Amaterasu smiled. “Yes, I’m ruling the universe now. The Overgod Portfolio is safe in my heaven.” She approached her. “You can come take it whenever you want.”
Yog stretched her arms. ’At least for now I can relax a bit. I doubt it can be stolen under your watch.”
“Of course.” Amaterasu then looked at her with a smile. “It’s been a while since we had a bit of fun, ever since Cain started not feeling well. Want to drop by?”
Yog stared at her for a second. “Yeah, I might. Just, next time, inform me first before you start messing things behind my back.”
Amaterasu looked away and scratched her cheek. “Well… I was thinking of releasing the orcs…”
Yog immediately rushed and grabbed her by the chest. “You what?!”
“AH! Be gentle!” Amaterasu moaned, “I can explain. But it’ll take time.”
Yog glared at her for a second, then sighed. “Let’s go now. I’m coming with you.”
