Chapter 1742: In Comes The Destruction

Chapter 1742: In Comes The Destruction

Only after trading several punches did Luminous manage to reach the two and snatch Nina’s mangled body away. “You stupid barbarian! You can’t solve everything by punching harder.” She glared at her, then looked at Nyar with a smile. “But, landing a hit on that thing is an impossible feat.”

As expected of a Tarrasque, Nina’s body regenerated at blinding speed, and Death never showed up to face her. Right now, Nina just couldn’t die and would even regenerate from ash. But her regeneration didn’t work the same as everyone else. It didn’t matter how much flesh and bones Nyar tore out of her human body; that mass was still less than a single scale of her Tarrasque form, so she technically wasn’t taking that much damage.

So, what if her Tarrasque body got burned to ash? Simple, her ashes would merge with the dirt, sink deep into the ground, and she would emerge from the core of the planet in a few months, years, or even centuries later.

Nyar wasn’t pleased at all that he got socked in the face several times by a mere barbarian, so he rushed after them. Nina had to die, even if the Tarrasque blood made her immune to death. He could just take the insult that a human, just with a bit of Tarrasque’s blood in them, was able to land a hit on him.

He is indeed weakened a lot by Yog’s magic, and everyone else is buffed. It was also true that he wasn’t trying against Nina; he had to keep his focus on the powerful gods like Tiamat and Maharaja. But that didn’t mean a bug, an ancient relic from times long past and forgotten, was able to smear blood on his nice, yellow, leather raincoat.

He had to get his revenge, right now. So, he flew in after Luminous and Nina, but before he could catch them, his arms were cleaved away. A tall man in a summer jacket on his bare torso, shorts, and sandless stood there, glaring at him with six burning eyes, menacingly glaring at him.

“Insolence.” Kayden swung once, and Nyar jumped back to avoid being cut in half, but even with that, he ended up with a large wound across his chest. “Abominable filth, you dare step into Alseria, into the mortal world?”

“Yeah? And what are you gonna do about it?” Nyar was fully healed in the blink of an eye and evaded a swarm of attacks by Tiamat, Maharaja, and Linda. But at the end of the barrage, he was caught with a golden hand and crushed into a pulp. Kali had joined the fight, and she wasn’t playing around.

She first stepped into the battle in her child form, barefoot and covered in dust. She wore tattered clothes, looked starved, and even wounded. A little orphan, lost in the wilderness on her own for weeks.

But then, her portfolio rapidly shifted, and her tiny arms burst with muscles, her bones grew longer, and her pale and sickly-looking skin turned blue. She grew taller, fuller, and two extra pairs of arms burst from her sides. As demonic magic rushed out like a shockwave, her clothes ripped apart, and a titanic divine statue of pure gold radiated light in the sky.

Even though her clothes tore, Kali didn’t stay naked, not even for a fraction of a second. When anyone could see her through the demonic fire, she was wearing a ghastly fit. Her bare chest was covered with a necklace of severed heads, and her hips hid behind a skirt of ripped arms, legs, and intestines, all torn from the abominations that Nyar once sent to scour the abyss.

Her eyes turned pure black, her lips blood red, and a third eye got tattooed into her forehead, right beneath her golden crown of calcified souls. Multiple silver earrings appeared on her ears, and a comically large nose ring on her nose. When she opened her lips to speak, her long tongue spilled out, causing her speech to come out as bone-chilling hiss.

“Maggot, bring your real body here if you dare.” She wasn’t joking, and everyone knew it. She really wanted Nyar to come here in full force, with his true body, so she could rip it apart.

Kali then turned around and stared at everyone before shouting. “Stay away, or leave! This is a fight that even some gods can’t handle. This is an avatar of Nyar, and it can destroy multiple worlds with ease. The only reason the mortal world still stands with him inside is that whatever he is after isn’t in his hand yet.” She landed, took a few steps forward to stand with Tiamat and Maharaja.

“I can kill him with one strike, but that would destroy the world as well.” She was the goddess of destruction after all. From above, Merlin and Alice watched the fight as they helped Yog, and Alice couldn’t help but gasp. “How did Arad manage to score that?”

In the back, Kayden frowned, “KALI! How many times have I told you to find something else to wear besides that… macabre dress?”

Kali froze for a second, then looked back, “Ah… it is a part of my divine form. Besides, those are the heads and limbs of his abominations.”

Kayden only seemed to get angrier. “This is either Lily’s fault for being a bad mother, or that strumpet Amaterasu. Next time I see her, I’ll cut her in half.”

Tiamat stared at him, “Which one? Amaterasu or your wife?” Kayden paused for a second, then replied. “Amaterasu, Lily gets a pass.” He then pointed his sword at her, “Get in my way, and I’ll cut you down with her.”

Nyar laughed as he reformed from his torn flesh, interrupting them. “I know you can’t kill me here, I’m counting on that, Destruction. I only came here because I was certain you can’t use enough force to kill me without destroying the world, same for Amaterasu. Unless you find a way to drag me out of this world, out of the universe itself, killing me without ending the lives of billions as collateral damage is impossible.”

Kali smiled. “Do you honestly think that I, a demon, and Amaterasu, would care?” Which was a reality that only then did Arad’s other wives realize. Kali is the Demon Goddess of Destruction; destroying an entire world would only benefit and make her stronger. Amaterasu, on the other hand, never needed prayers or mortals to sustain her power; they were just a liability, sucking her divine power away.

But at that moment, a steel boot hit the ground far behind them, and a flood of divine magic washed over the entire battlefield, illuminating it with radiant sunlight.

Nyar frowned. “Amaterasu… you and Destruction can’t do anything about…” But then, his mouth hung open. What walked into the battlefield wasn’t Amaterasu, but a human, a human woman clad in heavy armor.

Glaring at Lydia with rage and malice, Nyar growled. “A human, in this ground? Amaterasu, aren’t you insulting me a bit too much?”
