The Devil's Sweetheart

While the couple was in bliss forgetting the world around them with the intense kiss, a big commotion was happening on the other side.

The atmosphere turned grave by the sounds of a woman's vehement outcries. She was resembling a frenzied beast. The clothes were scattered, a glass painting of her portrait was smashed, blood was oozing out when a shred of glass piece sliced her finger but she didn't care. She was relieving her pent up anger and frustration on the things. She has broken, kicked, and crashed everything in the home.

"Calm down Regi, violence is not the answer. Your dad doesn't like you being in this state." Victor mused watching the woman with great interest. Despite she was snarling in anger, instead of coaxing, he was immersed in studying her sexy body through that adumbrate tight dress.

"I hate that bitch." Regina lashed out, picking up a glass vase that was standing close to her, and tossed it onto the wall. It hit the wall and the vase broke down, the glass pieces shattered with a heavy concussion across the floor. The house was in a detritus state. No one dared to humiliate her except that bitch. She was already fuming in anger with the insults Leena has imposed on her and to add fuel to the fire, Victor brought the news that Devin has taken that shrewd woman on a date. She didn't believe it until Victor showed the picture of Devin and Leena getting into the car that he snapped from a distance.

"Why doesn't he see me as his woman, Victor? Why doesn't he love me?" Regina broke down dropping to the floor. For ten years, she has been loving him and tried every possible way to become a perfect partner but he wouldn't acknowledge her even once.

"It's not the time to cry, my dear Regi." He dragged a long puff of his cigarette and when the smoke filled his chest, the taste aggravated his desire for the raging woman. He was staring at her with intense eyes. From the day he has been serving as Regina's dad's assistant, he has got close to her despite their ten years age gap and he has been waiting for the day to taste her and fill her insides with his cream but he has no plans to marry this dumb woman despite she is rich and that's the reason he has no objections when she asked for his help in eliminating the women that are trying to get close to Devin. He flicked the ashes of smoke and spoke up.

"If he can't love you, make him yours forcefully. You have been close to that woman for ten years and she will be your trump card if you use her properly. Your prince charming owns something big to her and the family can't say no to her if she wants you to be Devin's wife."

Regina slowly nodded her head with deep thought. The status of being his wife is not enough, she wants his love also but right now he has already slipped out of her hands and love can be followed later. She was certain that he will fall for her in the future and Regina was determined to make it happen.

The sky was raven with the stars glittering high above. It gave the reward for the people to rest and let the heart go in a steady rhythm but someone was struggling with the dinner responsibility. Leena was happily chatting with Reese throwing the cooking responsibility to Devin alone. Earlier, he helped her in picking the ingredients at least but right now she is acting as if she doesn't even care for him.

"She is always here to disrupt our sweet moments." Devin sliced the zucchini visualizing it like Reese's throat and he was gratified with the shape.

With the help of YouTube, he eventually made all the dishes that Leena ordered. For a second he thought, what would be his state without YouTube Goddess.

Even after they finished the dinner, Reese was still in the house gossiping about their office affairs with Leena. Devin tried to stop her in the middle but she did not even catch a hint. Can't she understand that we are in a relationship now? He made a note to introduce someone to her otherwise she would be a hindrance in the future. That's it. Devin couldn't take it anymore. He gave one death stare to Reese when she gazed in Devin's direction unconsciously. She gulped when she saw him silently threatening with his eyes and she caught the hint this time. "It's time, Leena. I will go and sleep. You guys carry on."

"Thanks, Reese. I was thinking of asking you because you have been here from the evening and I couldn't spend time with my babylicious." Leena was thinking Reese would understand and leave after dinner to give space for them but she is just like Drew clutching on to her. I should pair up with someone for this idiot soon.

"You meanie. You have become biased now. He has come into your life lately and now you are taking his side leaving your long-time friend. I am going to complain to my brother." Reese wiped her imaginary tears and got up from the bed. Before leaving she gazed in Devin's direction and stuck her tongue out. "What you do to others has a funny way of coming back to you."

"And who told that," Devin asked crossing his arms.

"XOXO Karma." Her voice an octave when she thought he is stealing Leena away.

"If I tell your brother that you are having prohibited relationships outside, will you put up with the same voice?"

Reese balled her fists in anger. She knew he is a sly devil. With no choice, she exhibited her resentment on Leena."Take care of your boyfriend. He is off the limits."

"Get lost idiot. Don't talk ill about my babylicious. Your tongue always sits uncomfortably in your mouth." Leena grabbed a pillow to hurl but Reese was gone before that.

Right after Reese left, Devin Jumped into the bed startling Leena. "I miss you, Leena."

"You have been here all the time and you still miss me?"

"Even if I spend the whole day with you but I will miss you if you are a little away from me." Devin pulled her closer to his chest.

"So cheesy." Her smile broadened which reached her eyes. "Are you sleeping in my bed? I am not_"

"Don't worry, I am not going to do anything." He reassured. She was partly lying on his chest wrapping her arms around his torso and it felt like heaven with the love of his life in his arms finally.

"Leena.." Devin called up her name sweetly.

"Hm?"

"Do you want to meet my family?" He asked, slightly took a peek at her face to study her reaction.

"Okay." Leena was kind of nervous but still, she has to meet them one day. Do I get a torturous mother-in-law? Stop it, Leena! You are already a step ahead of the marriage. "Do I need to bring gifts to impress your family?" She heard that while going to meet elders, she has to carry a lot of gifts.

"No, sweetheart." His laugh was sudden and short engaging a simple which Leena did not miss to see. "We are living in the modern world. They don't matter in our family. Just your presence is enough. Trust me, Everybody will like you the way you are." Devin was certain that everybody in his family will like her. His mom is a little stubborn at times but she would eventually get attracted to Leena's magnet. If she has made him fall without knowing for herself, then his mom was not a big deal.

"Okay. But still, I will bring bananas as gifts."

She started again. Does her day ever start without bananas? Either she would be eating or talking about them.

"Alright, bring as many you want." Devin gave up knowing her banana fetish. He thought of taking her by next week but he has to leave for a business trip to Korea and he suspended the idea for now. Little did he knew, the trip was going to create chaos in their life.

"I am sleepy." With a yawn, she snuggled closer.

"Go to sleep." He whispered pulling a blanket and went under it. He stood true to his words when she said he is not going to make a move.

The orange rays kissed the ground welcoming the sun. With the constant buzzing of the intercom, he groaned in frustration and woke up from the deep slumber. He peeked at Leena and she was still sleeping and he was afraid that it would disturb her sleep.

Just who dares to disturb their sleep?

He gingerly placed her head on the pillow and wrapped the blanket up to her chin and got up to see the annoying person for himself.

Without checking the person in the intercom, Devin strolled to the living room and opened the door.. Although he seems relaxed seeing the person in front of him, there was a shock on the other end person as if it was a dream.
