Chapter 707-708
Chapter 707: Hostility? Barely Passable?
“Hmm?” Shien Buztout raised an eyebrow, seeing the Legendary-level experts gathered in the plaza before the Succubus Fortress. Their gazes also fell on him, their eyes flickering.
“You’re here,” Gray said, nodding amicably.
Sheen, however, looked surprised.
“You’re the one who broke the rules last time?” he asked, seemingly not expecting Shien to be here.
Shien smirked at him, ignoring this demon who shared his name, and looked at Ses instead.
Ses, also observing Shien, noticed his gaze and approached him.
“You’re the human who’s been causing a commotion in Succubus City, favored by the Succubus and rumored to be the reappeared Hero, right?” Ses asked meaningfully, “I’ve heard so much about you, Earl Shien Buztout.”
Shien narrowed his eyes and smiled.
“You’re the Clan Chief of the Heterogeneous Spirit Clan, Ses, whom Liel described as ‘just average, barely passable’ among the executives, right?”
Shien’s words were clearly provocative.
At least, everyone present could tell.
“Do they have a history?” Hart asked Gray, surprised.
“I don’t know,” Gray shook his head.
“Hey!” Sheen shouted at Shien.
Ses’s eyes flickered, and he said calmly, “It seems you have some hostility towards me, Earl Buztout.”
Shien shook his head and waved his hand.
“Not really hostility,” he said with a smile, “I just find it strange that those in the Succubus Territory have such poor judgment, calling someone like you ‘average’ and ‘barely passable’.”
Ses’s pupils constricted slightly, and even Sheen’s expression changed.
Both brothers thought, (Did he discover it?)
No, impossible. They had used the special item given to them. Even a maxed-out [Appraisal] skill shouldn’t be able to see through it. Hadn’t Master Parion also said that in the Demon Realm, besides Sara, the Moon Demon, even the other Demon Lords couldn’t see through them?
Could it be because of his special nature?
He was the Hero.
The Holy Sword possessed immense power, including enhancing the Hero’s skill levels.
Perhaps this Hero possessed an [Appraisal] skill beyond the maximum level.
Thinking of this, both Ses and Sheen broke out in a cold sweat, their hearts pounding.
Ses, feigning composure, looked at Shien.
“You flatter me, but compared to the other executives, I do have many shortcomings,” he said. This was more of a probe than an admission.
Shien simply looked at Ses, then lost interest.
“Whatever you say. I’m just an outsider, what can I prove?” He turned his head and yawned, his previous aggression replaced by laziness.
Ses inwardly breathed a sigh of relief, yet still felt immense pressure. He exchanged glances with Sheen, then fell silent.
Hart and Gray watched this scene, confused.
Everyone remained silent, the atmosphere oppressive.
Fortunately, the silence didn’t last long.
“Master Shafney!” The Rock Giant brothers at the Succubus Fortress gate suddenly moved, kneeling towards the entrance.
From within, accompanied by Liel, Shafney emerged, yawning, just like Shien earlier.
However, unlike Shien’s casual and somewhat sloppy appearance, Shafney’s languid demeanor was like that of an ancient concubine after a night of drinking, exuding an astonishing beauty.
“Master Shafney!”
“Master Shafney!”
Hart, Ses, and even Sheen stared at Shafney, their voices filled with excitement.
“Your Highness…” Even Gray couldn’t help but look at Shafney, his eyes filled with infatuation.
The Succubus instantly became the center of attention, her beauty radiant and captivating.
Even Shien cursed inwardly, quickly looking away.
Shafney glanced at Shien, seeing him looking up at the sky, feeling both amused and annoyed.
However, she didn’t speak to him, ignoring everyone else, and simply asked Liel lazily,
“Are we ready to depart?” She wasn’t even interested in greeting the others.
“Anytime, Master Shafney,” Liel replied immediately.
“Good,” Shafney nodded, “Then let’s go.”
“Yes.” As Liel replied, she took something out from her bosom.
It was a pen.
A pen seemingly made entirely of crystal.
Taking out the pen, Liel began to draw on the ground.
“What is that?” Shien asked curiously, noticing this.
Hart and Gray were about to explain.
But before they could speak, Shafney, who had ignored everyone’s greetings, spoke first.
“That’s an extremely rare magic metal found only in the Demon Realm. It takes several master magic tool craftsmen, using over a dozen special types of magic and various precious materials, to create this high-level magic tool, with only a one percent success rate.”
Shafney said casually.
Seeing her speak, Hart and Gray closed their mouths and looked at Shien with complex expressions.
Not just them, but even Ses and Sheen felt the same.
Shafney, who was usually indifferent to everyone, especially men, actually answered Shien’s question immediately?
This alone showed her different attitude towards him.
Shien didn’t notice this, still looking curiously at the giant pattern Liel was drawing with the crystal pen.
“Such a rare, high-level magic tool? What’s its function?”
He could sense something special about the pattern. Having learned the versatile Bestowal Magic and understood various magic properties, he could discern some of its mysteries. This pattern drawn by the crystal pen was probably quite powerful.
As expected…
“Its function is simple: teleportation,” Shafney pointed at the pattern on the ground, “As long as we stand inside and activate it with enough magic power, it can instantly create a teleportation channel to any destination, allowing us to arrive instantly.”
“This…” Shien was stunned, “A teleportation tool?”
Such a tool actually existed?
As Shien was surprised, Shafney corrected him.
“It’s not a teleportation tool, just a transportation device. The channel it creates envelops us and travels at incredible speed, similar to the world passages between the Demon Realm and the Human Realm. However, those passages connect fixed locations between two fixed worlds, while this can be set to any destination, but only within the Demon Realm.”
The reason it could only be used in the Demon Realm was because the teleportation channel created by the crystal pen resonated with and utilized the power of a certain type of mineral vein found only underground in the Demon Realm.
“Using it, we can reach Central City in the Moon Demon Territory in about an hour,” Shafney said, “Usually, we six sisters use this method to gather and hold meetings, so each of the six territories has such a crystal pen.”
Hearing this, Shien finally understood. Although not the teleportation tool he imagined, being able to travel from the Succubus Territory to the Moon Demon Territory in an hour was still astonishing. The Demon Realm was larger than the Human Realm and the Divine Realm combined. Even with constant teleportation, he couldn’t travel that fast, not even Leisha with her Spatial Transfer ability. Riding Yulin at full speed would take several days and nights.
Now, a crystal pen could do it in an hour, which was truly remarkable.
Of course…
“This magic tool has a high magic power requirement. The greater the distance, the more magic power is needed,” Shafney explained.
“Generally, to teleport from Succubus City to Central City, the magic power required is beyond even many powerful demons. Only a Legendary Grand Magician can do it. Therefore, we usually use expensive magic crystals to power it. Even I don’t want to expend that much magic power.”
Hearing this, Shien became interested.
“Then how about letting me do it this time?” He wanted to test how much of his magic power was needed.
“You?” Shafney was slightly taken aback, looking at Shien.
The others did the same. Such a high consumption, others would avoid it if possible, and yet this human Hero was volunteering?
He was quite bold.
Chapter 708: A Family of Sister-Cons
“Weng—!”
As surging magic power poured into the giant teleportation circle carved on the plaza before the Succubus Fortress, the air trembled, and light emanated from the circle.
“Well, that’s that.”
The human Hero, considered quite the tough nut, withdrew his hand, which had been releasing magic power just a moment ago. Feeling that less than one percent of his magic power was consumed, and it was rapidly recovering at an astonishing speed, he couldn’t help but sigh.
“…” Gray, Hart, Ses, Sheen, and the others watched this scene in silence.
“Tsk…” Liel also clicked her tongue, looking at the unfazed Shien with displeasure.
“…Your magic power is quite strong.”
Even Shafney looked at Shien with a strange expression.
The consumption that would make even a Legendary Grand Magician tremble barely fazed Shien, who looked completely relaxed. This was truly surprising.
At least, the Heterogeneous Spirit brothers looked at Shien with apprehension, clearly intimidated by his display of power.
Shien, however, shrugged as if he hadn’t noticed.
“Maybe it’s because I’m the Hero,” he said.
“Don’t give me that,” Shafney patted Shien, “No Hero in history has had such extraordinary magic power.”
Her slightly annoyed and coquettish demeanor made the Succubus’s admirers present change their expressions slightly.
Shien ignored them, not even looking at Shafney, but at the flowing light within the teleportation circle, and said,
“So we can depart now?” He seemed impatient.
Shafney, however, snorted.
“In such a hurry to leave my Succubus City? Are you that eager to see little Airi and those cuties around you?”
Her tone was slightly sarcastic.
Naturally, this behavior seemed strange to the others.
“Master Shafney…” Liel looked like she wanted to say something, but hesitated.
“This…” Hart also looked confused.
A strange mix of surprise and bitterness appeared in Gray’s eyes, and his gaze towards Shien changed.
As for Ses and Sheen, they remained silent, their inner turmoil evident.
Such a Shafney was a sight no one had ever seen before. When had she ever been so sarcastic, or shown such jealousy towards a man?
It was as if she was… jealous?
But how could that be?
“Ahem…” Shien finally noticed the strange atmosphere and coughed, trying to remind Shafney to be mindful of her behavior.
But Shafney didn’t appreciate it.
“What? Am I wrong?” she asked, glaring at him, as if wanting to pull his ear.
Shien was speechless. Didn’t this Succubus want to avoid suspicion?
He didn’t know that Shafney had no such intention.
Why should she? Had she done something shameful? Perhaps sleeping with her younger sister’s future husband was something to be discreet about, but that was before her sisters. The people here weren’t worth her consideration.
In other words, Shafney, as always, ignored these boring people. She didn’t care about them and naturally wouldn’t bother avoiding suspicion before them. This was complete indifference, utter lack of interest.
Among those present, besides Liel, who had a score of ten, Shafney didn’t care about anyone else.
Shien’s score in her heart had risen to ninety-eight, only one point away from Airi, who held the top spot, and far surpassing anyone else.
If Shien knew this, he would definitely complain.
“After everything that happened, I only scored ninety-eight, still lower than your sister? You’re truly something.”
As expected, these so-called Demon Lord sisters were all sister-cons, even Shafney.
Under Shafney’s lead, they entered the teleportation circle.
“Let’s depart.”
With Shafney’s command, Liel, who had pushed Shien away from Shafney with a speechless expression, immediately activated the teleportation circle with the crystal pen.
In the next second, the circle transformed into a light, enveloping Shien and the others.
Then, the light shot towards the sky, flying towards the Moon Demon Territory like a meteor.
…
At the same time, in the other Demon Lord territories, the Demon Lords also took action.
“It’s time.”
Lid, with a group of her executives, looked towards the Moon Demon Territory and stepped into the newly drawn teleportation circle.
“Airi, Lilith, Shien~~~”
Millu, seemingly knowing what day it was, happily jumped into the teleportation circle, thinking of the people she would soon meet, making her grotesque executives hurriedly follow.
And in a swamp, a naked girl, bathing in the murky water, her skin not only clean but even fairer because of it, slowly emerged.
“It’s time to depart, Master Kamina,” a female demon executive said respectfully, standing by the swamp.
“I know,” Kamina replied indifferently, emerging from the swamp and glancing at the bubbling water with a snort.
“As expected of the strongest Evil God’s power, capable of even corrupting souls and beings. Even I took three whole days to separate it from a part of my poison body. It’s quite troublesome.”
A dense, smoky evil aura, like miasma, bubbled from the swamp.
Who would have thought that this repulsive swamp was a clear lake just three days ago?
But this clear lake encountered Kamina, who bathed in it for three days, turning it into this.
Kamina, the Poison Demon, with her [Heavenly Poison Body] Unique Skill, a single drop of her blood could turn an ocean into a sea of poison. Having her bathe in a lake for three days would naturally turn it into a toxic swamp. Moreover, she even separated the invading evil aura and her own toxins, merging them into the lake. One could imagine how terrifying this lake had become.
The female demon executive beside her felt dizzy, almost collapsing from inhaling a bit of the poison and evil aura.
“M… Master Kamina…” she said, her face pale, pleading with Kamina to leave. If they didn’t leave soon, even as a Legendary-level executive from the tribe with the highest poison resistance in the Poison Demon Territory, she would die.
“Let’s go,” Kamina glanced at her, her naked body rising from the swamp, “Let me meet that Evil God again, and the Hero who’s going to marry our little sister.”
The female executive quickly stepped forward, helping Kamina dress.
…
Meanwhile, in Dragon King Valley in the Dragon Demon Territory, Airi, holding her pillow, stood before a cave.
Two female demons accompanied her.
One had dragon horns and was holding a barrel of wine, drinking heartily. The other had a haughty expression, like a proud dragon girl.
These two were clearly two of Airi’s four executives. Like Giacinta, they were dragons transformed into humans, elites of the Dragon Race. Although seemingly slender and beautiful women, their bodies contained immense power, rivaled by few in the Demon Race.
They stood with Airi, looking at the cave, seemingly waiting for something.
“Hasn’t she come out yet?” the haughty dragon girl muttered.
“It should be soon, right?” the horned, wine-drinking dragon girl said casually.
Airi ignored her two capable executives, staring at the cave and murmuring softly,
“Logically, she should be coming out soon.”
Hearing this, the two dragon executives couldn’t help but look expectant.
“I can’t wait to see,” the haughty dragon girl said, “How strong will a Limit Level dragon become after transforming into a human and awakening her Unique Skill? I really want to see.”
“Indeed,” the horned dragon girl grinned, her fighting spirit surging, “I also want to have a good fight with her.”
Airi wasn’t surprised by her executives’ words.
“The Dragon’s Lair is a sacred place for our Dragon Race. Although not as good as the Inner Sanctum bestowed upon humans by the Supreme God, it can still help dragons enhance their intelligence, spirituality, and magic power, even temper their bodies, increasing the chance of transformation or accelerating the process.”
Airi looked ahead expectantly.
“With that girl’s talent, after entering for several days, it’s about time for her to come out.”
As she spoke, a terrifying dragon’s roar echoed from the Dragon’s Lair.
In the next moment, astonishing magic power surged out.
“She’s coming!”
“She’s coming!”
The two dragon executives perked up.
Airi’s eyes also lit up, a smile appearing on her lips.
Soon, the astonishing magic power receded.
And from the Dragon’s Lair, a naked figure slowly emerged.
Looking at that figure, Airi smiled.
