Draxos’s body morphed—SQUISH, RIPLE—two extra arms burst from his torso, each rippling with dense muscle and covered in the same dark, ridged skin as the rest of his body. His lower hands reached into his storage ring—HUMMM—and two greatswords materialized, each massive, jagged, radiating demonic energy. Dark purple mana coated the blades—FWOOM.

He began parrying. CLANG, CLANG, CLANG—each of Kael’s incoming arrows was deflected, the greatswords spinning in blurring arcs that created a wall of steel and demonic mana. The arrows shattered on impact—CRACK—their condensed energy scattering into harmless sparks.

Kael formed a hand sign—HUMMM—and a dark wolf materialized behind Draxos, its massive form coalescing from the shadows. The wolf opened its jaws—FWOOM—firing a concentrated blast of dark energy toward Draxos’s back.

Draxos didn’t even turn. One of his upper hands released a greatsword momentarily and caught the blast with an open palm—CRACKLE—demonic mana erupting from his hand, neutralizing the dark energy on contact. He fired a blast of his own demonic mana back at the wolf—FWOOM—a beam of purple-black energy.

Kael immediately unsummoned it—DISSOLVE—the creature breaking apart into shadow fragments that retreated into the shadow world.

Draxos turned to Kael, his four arms spreading wide, greatswords gleaming. He rushed forward into the sky—WHOOSH—his wings propelling him upward with explosive force, the air screaming in his wake.

Kael fired arrows—TWANG, TWANG, TWANG—each one a condensed missile of dark lightning aimed at the incoming demon. But Draxos’s body morphed mid-flight—SHIFT, CRACK—his skin hardening, thickening, plates of bone-like exoskeleton armor spreading across his body like insectoid scales. The arrows struck—TINK, TINK, TINK—and deflected harmlessly off the armored surface.

Kael immediately changed trajectory, flying across the sky in a wide arc—WHOOSH—dodging Draxos’s descent. His mind raced. His ability is Body Manipulation. Damn, this is getting more and more difficult.

Kael turned mid-air. His soul sense locked onto Draxos. He fired a Soul Severing Blade—FWOOM—a concentrated blade of soul energy screaming through the air. Draxos parried it with a greatsword—CLANG—the soul energy shattering against his demonic mana.

Then Kael unfurled his hand. A Pulsar formed—HUMMM, HUMMM—compressed gravitational energy spinning into a sphere of destructive force. He threw it—WHOOSH—the orb tearing through the air like a miniature black hole.

Draxos’s eyes widened. The Pulsar struck him dead center—BOOM—the gravitational explosion sending him crashing into the ground—CRASH—a crater forming beneath him. Dust and debris erupted skyward.

Kael watched, his bow drawn, another arrow ready.

Draxos emerged from the crater. His exoskeleton armor was cracked, his flesh torn. But the injuries were already healing—HEAL, SQUISH—wounds knitting shut, bone plates regenerating, muscle reforming. He dusted himself off and chuckled.

"Not bad, kid."

Then the air around him changed.

A dark red intent spread from Draxos—RUMBLE—like a fog of concentrated malice rolling outward from his body. The air turned thick, oppressive, suffocating. The ground beneath Draxos cracked—CRACK—from the sheer weight of his intent.

Wrath Intent.

Kael staggered back—STUMBLE—the intent hitting his consciousness like a physical blow. He felt it immediately—the creeping, insidious pull of madness. Anger surged through his veins unbidden. His vision tinted red. His heart rate spiked. His hands trembled, not from fear, but from a rising, uncontrollable rage that threatened to swallow his rationality.

Kael immediately unleashed his Slaughter Intent—FWOOM—the cold, desolate will erupting from his body like a winter gale. The two intents clashed—SCREEEE—cold slaughter meeting burning wrath in a collision that distorted the air between them.

Draxos’s eyes turned dark red—GLOW—twin pools of crimson malice. He rushed forward with blinding speed—WHOOSH—faster than before, his intent-infused body moving at a velocity that Kael’s enhanced perception could barely track.

He appeared behind Kael.

Before Kael knew it, a fist slammed into his back—BOOM—the impact launching him forward like a ragdoll. He tumbled through the air—WHOOSH, WHOOSH—crashing through the ground—CRASH, CRASH, CRASH—bouncing, rolling, his aura barrier shattering on the first impact. He dug his gauntlet into the earth—SCREEEE—carving a trench as he slowed himself down.

Kael stabilized. Blood coughed from his lips—SPLAT. His chest heaved. His back screamed with pain where the fist had connected.

But his mind was already analyzing. The way Draxos applied his intent—not just as a domain, but infusing his own intent into his body instead of just a weapon. He became the intent. The intent became him. That’s why his speed, his strength, his reaction time—all of it surged beyond what his cultivation should allow.

Kael had the same idea. But it was always a dangerous technique. A person could easily lose themselves to the intent, consumed by the very power they sought to wield. For Draxos, driven by Wrath Intent, he might be driven to a state of perpetual, mindless wrath—a berserker who destroyed everything, including allies, including himself. For Kael, driven by Slaughter Intent, he would be driven into a state of perpetual slaughter and an insatiable hunger for blood. A monster who killed without purpose, without end, without satisfaction.

Kael activated his Spirit Eyes—GLOW—the enhanced perception dissecting Draxos’s path flow. He studied the way Wrath Intent circulated through Draxos’s bloodstream, saturated his muscle fibers, reinforced his bone structure. The flow was controlled. Draxos wasn’t consumed by his intent. He had mastered it.

Kael copied the path flow.

He pulled his Slaughter Intent inward—PULL—drawing the cold, desolate energy from his soul space into his bloodstreams. The intent resisted—HSSS—unwilling to be contained, fighting against the confinement. But Kael’s will was absolute. He forced the Slaughter Intent into his pathways, pumping pure, unadulterated slaughter energy directly into his circulatory system.

The effect was instantaneous. SURGE.

His body energy ignited—burning at ten times its normal speed and density. Every muscle fiber contracted with terrifying power. Every bone vibrated with enhanced density. His aura flared—FWOOM—the golden light of his aura turning crimson at the edges, stained by the Slaughter Intent’s influence.

His eyes turned crimson.

Kael felt as if the limiter on his body had been removed. The ceiling that restricted his physical output had been shattered. Power flooded through him and it felt intoxicating. He decided to call it—Heart of the Carnage Deity.

He then activated Heaven’s Mandate Body Art—HUMMM—the technique boosting his body defense, his aura hardening into a reactive armor that shimmered with crimson and gold.

Draxos watched the transformation with visible interest. His four greatswords lowered slightly as he observed Kae. Then he clapped—CLAP, CLAP.

"Remarkable," Draxos said, his deep voice carrying genuine amusement. "You copied my technique just by watching. And you survived the infusion without losing your mind." His dark red eyes gleamed. "Make this worth for me."

Both of them rushed forward simultaneously—BOOM—their fists colliding in the center of the field, the shockwave leveling the plain around them—CRACK, RUMBLE—ground splintering outward in concentric rings, trees toppling, rocks disintegrating. Kael’s gauntlet met Draxos’s bare fist—CLANG—the Impact Nullification absorbing kinetic feedback while Aura Amplification boosted his strike.

They traded blows—BOOM, BOOM, BOOM—fists, elbows, knees—each impact sending tremors through the earth. Kael’s gauntlet allowed him to keep up with Draxos and trade blows, but eventually, Draxos was still superior. A feint—FEINT—and Draxos’s upper arm caught Kael in the ribs—CRACK—the impact launching him sideways. His reactive armor absorbed part of the blow, but the force still cracked ribs.

They clashed again—BOOM—the shockwave pushing both of them back. Kael slid—SKRT—digging his feet into the fractured earth. Blood dripped from his lip. But his crimson eyes burned with cold determination.

Kael brought out the Shadow Slayer blades—SHING, SHING—the twin blades singing as they cleared their sheaths. He injected everything into them—Slaughter Intent, cold and desolate. Darkness, swirling and consuming. Lightning, crackling and destructive. Gravity, crushing and absolute. And finally—the Demonic Asura Flame.

Purple-black fire wrapped around the blades—FWOOM—the primordial fire law fusing with the other elements, creating a swirling maelstrom of condensed destruction. The blades vibrated so intensely they blurred—HUMMM.

"SKY RENDING TECHNIQUE, FOURTH FORM: VOID SPLIT!"

The slash erupted—FWOOOOOM—a massive wave of fused energy tearing through the air itself, distorting space, creating a vacuum in its wake. The ground beneath the attack disintegrated—CRACKLE—matter ceasing to exist where the slash passed.

Draxos activated his body rule power—HUMMM—his body glowing with dense, reinforced energy. His exoskeleton armor thickened—CRACK—plates of bone hardening across his chest, shoulders, and arms.

The Void Split struck—SCREEEE—tearing through his body defense, shattering his exoskeleton armor, and striking his right shoulder—SLICE—tearing through muscle and sinew, almost severing the arm entirely. His shoulder hung—SAG—connected by threads of flesh and bone, blood pouring—SPLAT, SPLAT.

But instead of getting angry, Draxos smiled. His dark red eyes locked onto the purple-black flames still flickering on Kael’s blades.

"There it is," Draxos said, his voice soft with satisfaction, his shoulder already knitting back together. "The Demonic Asura Lotus Flame."
