Puff…

That was the sound as I came down and lay on my bed, quietly happy about everything that had taken place.

“How did it all go?”

Luna asked as she climbed onto my chest, lying there with curious eyes. My mind flashed back to all the tentacle stuff I had to live through, and my body shivered for a moment. Not something I wanted to go through again in my life.

“It was fine…”

“That bad… huh?”

Luna teased, her canine looking quite sharp and dangerous, making me smile wryly. I have to tell you, I am not a man who enjoys those kinds of things at all—but I had to, because that was more of the unspoken deal when we went through all of it. Every action between us is a fight for dominance and control, and who can one-up the other.

That’s what we had gone through in there. The first few moments I gave her control and let her try to break me, and now I tried to break her. Can’t say the two of us succeeded in one another, but we did get more control of each other in some ways.

Unlike those born gods, she is someone who grew to her level. That means Krave has her own set of skills and experience, and knows how to drive you mad with her touch. Let’s just say if I didn’t have my own, I would have lost my way a bit too.

“Urgh… keeping doing that will be hard…”

“Then just give up. I can threaten her, eat everything she values, and put her under our thumb.”

Luna added, making me pat her head.

“Sounds like a great idea, but I would rather not have an extremely scheming woman close to me with a grudge. It’s better to reel ones like that in and keep them addicted.”

“Humph… whatever you say so…”

Luna replied as she enjoyed my little touches. The two of us just lay there in the bed. Soon we would leave toward the surface, because tonight my goddess-like mommy would be pulling a trick that would pull me into a whole lot of attention—and keep me from the War Council itself.

…

Third Person POV:

Within the inner main city of the War Council—the very same place where Austin had visited the Blood Queen Vixuola De Dracula—now sat another woman. The woman in question was Hera, her eyefold still blocking her eyes as she sat there in front of Vixuola with pride, arrogance, and the power behind her.

And Vixuola, for all her power and beauty, stayed a bit more respectful and subservient than before. Because no matter how powerful she was and how powerful the War Council was, in front of the representatives of the Supreme Gods she would always forever be nothing.

“Is it true that you visited the still-comatose Austin Lionheart to treat him?”

Vixuola asked in a slight voice as she sat opposite Hera. Hera’s expression did not change when she heard the question, but on the inside she was nauseated and disgusted as always. It was the same always with all these people all around the world.

‘Power, politics, pressing down on the strings of righteousness to fill their needs.’

Hera hated it all. What she loved the most was her own peace in her room close to her God—but now it had changed to always being close to her Holy Son. If he wasn’t adamant on hiding it, she and the whole church would have sung this to the ends of the world and celebrated it like nothing.

Heck, the most powerful hidden figures of the church itself would have rushed with all of their backing to hunt and kill anyone who had dared to even think of hurting the Holy Son. But their Holy Son was far too kind. He wished to keep himself hidden and keep saving the world from its own darkness with his own might, which only made Hera love and cherish Austin more.

If it wasn’t for all those ancient rules from the past bound by the Creation Goddess themselves, the church would have long ago raided and killed every enemy of Austin’s for him.

‘Ahhh… I do miss the scent and calmness of the Holy Son… I wish I was with him~’

Taking away her distraction—and her body, which was getting hot and wet thinking about the Holy Son and him just roughly taking her and blessing her with his holy seeds—Hera controlled herself. He had already promised to thoroughly ruin her. She was just waiting for the day and moment to come.

By now Hera was already completely ruined and under the control of Austin. Heck, all the members were anyway. When they pledged their loyalty and being to Orpheus, their minds, souls, and everything was hers. And when Austin came into the mix—the living embodiment of it walking with them—it wasn’t a no-brainer to see how everything was shaping up.

With time spent, Austin was already deep into their hearts and not at all removable for them. They would live and die for Austin. If it was like this for life, then one doesn’t even have to talk about how bad it would be for all the female witches raging away.

“I did check up on him, and it seems though he did get damaged, he will recover and wake up on his own soon anyway.”

“I see… that is a relief. It would have been bad for the realms to miss such a righteous and talented figure.”

Vixuola added, her expression being one of relief and worry. Neither of the two bought the acting itself, as Hera, watching Vixuola, suddenly spoke.

“You seem more alive than ever.”

Hera’s words made Vixuola smile a little.

“Maybe I just found more hope…”

“Hope?”

Hera asked back, to which all Vixuola gave was just a mysterious smile. As high-society people, they interacted with each other a bit, and Hera indeed knew about Vixuola. As someone with special eyes, she could indeed see a difference in the life of Vixuola, like it had gained some sort of hope…

“Whatever it is, may it guide your life to more brightness.”

Hera gave a light prayer as she finally put down the cup she was holding, her blindfolded eyes looking at Vixuola as she spoke.

“I was given an Oracle.”

“Oh?”

Vixuola reacted as interest bloomed in her eyes. Seeing this, Hera spoke.

“It would seem the Goddess will be blessing a land of the War Council randomly the coming day—a reward for all your hard work.”

“I thank the Goddess then.”

Vixuola’s eyes were raging as she said this, ambition and power raging inside her as she got to understand that something significant that would change and shake up the War Council again was coming up.

‘In recent years, the world and the War Council have been more shaken up than the past 100 years combined. The world is changing, and something big is coming…’

Vixuola thought. In this world, power is never enough, and for ones that hit their top layer, the thing they hate the most is not having enough power. Even for Vixuola, all she hoped was to break through her limitations and soar. And after years, a hope came into her hands, and she wasn’t going to let it go.

*It would seem I will need to push some of my plans forward.*

Vixuola knew whichever land was chosen, there would be a rough fight for who would get ownership of it. If it’s a land in another faction, then they can’t do anything about it—but a land that doesn’t belong to anyone? Now that will be fair game.

Plus, even better if it went into the hands of some lower, powerless faction. Ripping it away from their hands will not be hard with some… “negotiation.”

“Is there any indication of which land will be chosen?”

Vixuola asked, to which Hera shook her head.

“The mind of the Goddess is only known to her. For what may be chosen is her will.”

“Who else knows?”

Vixuola added, to which Hera smilingly replied.

“Some have been given a head start—the ones that are good friends of the church.”

The words “church” and “friends” were said with a sense of extra pressure to them, which made Vixuola nod her head. Hera, who hates politics and its dirty plays, somehow had such great talent for it too.

Whenever Austin said to make his move, he also gave the rights to use it in a way that could also be something profitable for the church. Hey, they might be all-powerful, but what’s wrong with making some allies in between?

It’s good to have a lot of favours in their hands, which ironically all fall into the hands of Austin himself.

In the end, Austin had planned everything. The threads were slowly moved, and the pieces were being kept. Soon, before even the War Council could blink, power might fall into the hands of Austin himself.

Now the man in question was taking a deep sleep, hugging his wolf, trying to forget that trauma-like sex before. Soon everything would change, and he would be ready.
