Chapter 541: Explosions
"Akaza. Are the slaves in position?"
Simon finally broke the silence and looked at Akaza.
Akaza was taken aback at first, then he nodded.
"Yes. They are."
"Good." Simon nodded, then he looked at Merath and Jorra.
"Akaza, carry her. Be careful. She can kill you."
Akaza looked at Merath with slightly narrowed eyes, then he nodded.
He obviously knew Merath, but what he knew was that she was one of the talented ones in Simon’s class.
Akaza did not show it or say it, but he was extremely confused as to why Simon was treating both of them like this.
As far as he knew, Merath and Jorra were not enemies with Simon for him to do such a thing to them.
Merath’s condition was terrible, and he had no idea why Simon would do such a thing to her.
’And he even removed her mask.’
Although Akaza had numerous questions running through his head, he obeyed Simon and did as he was told. He carefully picked up Merath and placed her on his shoulders.
Merath did not struggle because she was extremely weak and tired after all the screams and tears she released.
The pain in her missing arm and ears did not make the situation any better.
Meanwhile, Simon looked at Jorra.
"I gave her the antidote to the poison, but it’s only temporary. If you try to act up and kill me, she’ll go through that pain again."
Jorra did not respond.
His head was hung low as he seemed to be lost in his thoughts.
Simon did not care about whatever thoughts Jorra had. He looked at Sunless, then he gestured at Jorra.
"Sunless, carry him. And be careful. He can kill you."
Simon’s tone was more serious compared to when he told Akaza to be careful, and the reason for this is because of Jorra’s ability to control cursed spirits.
If Jorra decided to let go of everything and expose himself, he would use his cursed spirits.
And cursed spirits were far more tricky to handle compared to other abilities.
As for Sunless, she raised a brow behind her mask.
She looked at Jorra, then she looked at Simon.
"You want me, a girl, to carry a guy who is not seriously injured and weakened, and from your tone, seems to be more dangerous than her?"
"Really, Broken Halo?"
Simon’s lips could not help but twitch, then he nonchalantly waved his hand.
"Whatever. Switch if you want to. Just be careful and make sure they don’t kill you."
Sunless shook her head.
Despite the urge to say something, she knew that there was no point.
She did as Simon instructed.
"Hey, what’s going on? I thought you said we were leaving the clan. Why are you suddenly bringing two dead weights? And how are you going to teleport the five of us including you at the same time?"
Sonya asked with a suspicious and confused expression behind her mask.
She folded her arms.
"Don’t tell me that you plan on separating like you did just now? You’ll be teleporting us group by group?"
"If that’s what you plan on doing, then you better make sure that I’m in the first group, cause I’m not going to be left behind in this place."
Simon could not help but tilt his head and give Sonya a strange look.
"Even though it would make you a target of the Shadowgrave Clan? Even though you might die?"
Sonya confidently patted her chest.
"This honourable has no fear."
Simon chuckled softly.
"Sure you do. I’m curious to see how you’ll react after going through a long distance teleportation."
Sonya could not help but have a pale face at Simon’s words.
She wanted to retort Simon’s words, but she didn’t know what to say.
Simon shook his head slightly.
"Let’s go. The Grave Lord would be here in no time. Come close to me... Quickly."
Sonya was the first to get close to Simon, and she held his wrist.
Sunless and Akaza held Simon’s shoulders while carrying Jorra and Merath.
Simon looked at Akaza.
"Tell the slaves to begin in ten seconds."
Akaza nodded.
Simon closed his eyes, then his dark silver demonic energy covered spread from his body and covered Sunless, Sonya, Akaza, Jorra, and Merath.
A second later, they vanished.
Three seconds later, Black Midnight appeared in the room.
He rose from one of the shadows in the room, then he looked around with his hands behind his back.
"Hmm. How interesting. He was able to teleport five at once. His spatial affinity must be really high."
Black Midnight shook his head, then he slowly sank into a shadow with his eyes flashing with an intrigued light.
However, something happened which he never expected.
BOOM!
The building suddenly exploded.
Debris of stone, wood, and metal were flung into the air and the demons who were nearby were thrown like garbages.
They suffered varying injuries, but none died.
The demons who were far away from the shockwave looked at the burning building in shock and disbelief.
When they saw a figure calmly stepping out of the fire, their eyes could not help but widen.
And the moment they saw this figure was a Grave Lord, they all got on their knees in fear.
Black Midnight ignored them as he walked out of the burning building completely unharmed.
Not even his clothes were burned.
"Hmm. And why would he do such a thing? He should know that this does nothing to me."
Just as Black Midnight mumbled these words softly, what happened next was something that truly surprised him.
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
Numerous explosions rang out across the entire ravine.
BOOM!
A bridge spanning the ravine erupted into flames.
BOOM!
A brothel near the upper cliffs exploded, and chunks of stone rained into the mist below.
BOOM!
One of the floating platforms in the clan shattered apart.
The entire Shadowgrave Clan shook.
Demons rushed out of buildings with alarmed expressions while countless heads snapped toward the source of the explosions.
Smoke rose from different parts of the ravine.
Fire bloomed one after another.
For a brief moment, chaos spread through the clan.
Black Midnight’s eyes narrowed.
His gaze swept across the burning structures and collapsing platforms.
Then his expression slowly darkened.
