The Broken Halo

Chapter 335: Hollow Sky Eye (2)

Chapter 335: 335: Hollow Sky Eye (2)

The fierce reaction that occurred between the Hollow Gaze and Sky Eye was extremely sudden and completely unexpected.

In the real world, Simon’s body was bent forward like a prawn and copious amount of blood fell from beneath his mask.

He had no choice other than to remove his mask because the blood was clogging his mouth and nose.

The moment he removed his mask, one could see that blood was not only pouring out of his mouth but also his eyes.

Inside his sea of consciousness, enormous waves were rising and falling repeatedly due to the fierce reaction of the two ocular techniques.

If it was anybody else in Simon’s shoes, they would become fearful because death seemed so close, and this was not an exaggeration.

However, Fearless activated itself and whatever fear Simon had, vanished.

His mind became calm, and he was able to ignore the pain in his eyes.

The first thing he did was increase the distance between the two ocular techniques so they would no longer react to each other’s presence.

He then regulated the turbulent waves in his sea of consciousness, and when he did this, his mind and body became calm.

A few seconds later, Simon spat out another mouthful of blood, then he inhaled and exhaled deeply.

He tried opening his eyes, but all he saw was red.

“I’m not blind… That’s good.”

Simon released a sigh of relief, then he went back into his sea of consciousness.

His sea of consciousness was not completely calm like before. It was moving like a sea, but Simon knew that this was just a minor issue.

He shifted his gaze to the broken ring and the manifestation of his eyes.

He narrowed his eyes at both manifestations, the gears in his mind spinning rapidly.

Surprisingly, the first thing he did was not to blame or accuse Lilith.

No

What just happened was because of him, and it was completely his fault.

In the knowledge about how to engrave the Hollow Gaze technique into his eyes, she had also told him how to combine both ocular techniques, but there was a problem with her method.

According to her, to make both techniques to coexist together, he had to make one technique to be dominant over the other because their concepts were actually on the opposing sides.

The Sky Eye represented clarity while the Hollow Gaze represents distortion.

Because their concepts were different from one another, Lilith told him that he had to make a decision.

Either his Sky Eye dominates, and his illusion becomes weakened but not by a significant margin.

Or, Hollow Gaze dominates, and his range of vision reduces.

Simon did not want to this, and if he was being honest with himself, he knew that he was being greedy.

The reduction in either the illusion prowess or the vision prowess of either techniques was not much.

However, he was still not satisfied and wanted both of them to retain all their prowess.

He tried to fuse them, but the fierce reaction made him to realize that they could not coexist equally.

“Do I have no other choice other than to use her method?”

A part of Simon was unsatisfied with this development, and if Lilith could read his thoughts and could see what was going on in his sea of consciousness, she would shake her head in amusement and also curiosity.

She could not say that she had thought of the best method Simon could use to accommodate both techniques.

No.

For her, this was the fastest and most efficient method she could think of without having to stress herself.

Unlike Simon who wanted the best for himself, she did not want the best for him.

As long as Simon had a certain level of power, talent, and capability, then she was okay with that.

But if Simon wanted to go a step further and maybe fly too close to the sun?

Then who was she to stop him?

He could be greedy all he wants, as long as he doesn’t cross her bottom lines.

Meanwhile Simon was actually using out of the little mental energy he had left to think of a new method.

And just when it was looking like he was doing something pointless, his eyes flashed, then it glowed brightly.

“This…this can work.”

Simon looked at both manifestations of the two ocular techniques, then he exhaled deeply as he came to a decision.

’If this fails, then I might lose my sight forever. But if it succeeds, then I’d have kept the full prowess of both techniques.’

’Time to take the risk.’

He waved his hand gently, and the broken and cracked black ring approached the Sky Eye.

He clenched his other hand into a fist, and the vertical pupils of the Sky Eye were forced to reduce in size.

It became smaller, and Simon sent the broken and cracked black ring into the Sky Eye.

The moment both ocular techniques came into contact, blue and black sparks flashed between both of them, but Simon controlled everything.

Instead of forcing a fusion between both techniques, what he wanted to do was to make the Sky Eye the base and the Hollow Gaze the outer layer.

He wrapped the Hollow Gaze around the vertical pupil of the right Sky Eye, and his eyes flashed with a relieved light when he saw that there was no fierce rejection.

“I did it.”

Right now, there was a broken black ring around the feline pupils of his right eye.

Another broken black ring flashes into existence, and he did the same thing for his left eye.

Through layering, he had solved the conflict.

He retained his vision while still keeping the full prowess of Hollow Gaze.

He released a deep sigh.

“Now, for the next step.”

This was not all.

No.

The next thing he had to is to use his mental energy like a blade and slowly carve the Hollow Gaze into his eyes.
